The role

We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about education, social impact and wants to join Apps for Good’s mission in helping provide more young people with the tech and

innovation skills that will prepare them for the future of work.

In this new role, you will build strong relationships with teachers and Senior Leadership teams, in order to support them to embed our courses in their schools and across their Multi-Academy Trusts. You will work closely with the Senior Education Manager and existing Education Community Manager to build and implement recruitment and retention strategies, as well as being the first point of contact for educators.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Be the first point of contact for educators, providing a timely response to incoming enquiries.

• Manage and build quality relationships with our community of educators, with a focus on retention and engagement.

• Support our educators with course delivery, access to materials and resources, ensuring they are making the most of the course materials and feel confident to deliver our programmes.

• Help develop our ongoing strategy for building a community of educators across the UK.

• Represent Apps for Good to recruit educators via channel partners and events

• Support the wider Education team to gather, analyse, manage and report data

• Assist in the collection of data from educators to inform impact analysis and course development.

• Work with the wider team to deliver Industry Engagement opportunities to students participating in one of our courses

• Collaborate with the marketing team on key events including our annual Showcase and Career Series.

• Collaborate with the Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver opportunities to connect funding partners with schools across the UK

Great candidates will have the following:

• Enthusiasm for Apps for Good’s mission

• At least two years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Working in a charity or organisation, building relationships with schools and education providers

  • Education community/Programme management within the education/charity sector

  • Teaching, leadership or operations within a school

• Confidence networking and engaging with stakeholders and education partners at all levels

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, children's books, education, and community-building. An expert communicator, you will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and relish a busy role.

Coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. As resident children’s book expert, you will help with initiatives such as the SLA Information Book Award and member book related events. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. The ability to travel to training and events across the UK is essential. Duties include:

Branch network and member support

• Support the SLA Branch Network and member outreach
• Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
• Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them
• Provide advice for SLA members on all aspects of school libraries, ensuring they are supported and can be as effective as possible in their school communities 
• Drive engagement and development of online communities as part of the branch network
• Coordinate the mentoring scheme and ensure it is promoted effectively, with necessary support and development available to mentees and training for mentors

 Training and events

• Support the development and delivery of a calendar of online and in-person networking and engagement events and workshops
• Represent the association at relevant events and for programmes (e.g., conferences, webinars, book awards)
• Support development of training programmes, toolkits and resources using member insight to inform

Outreach and communications

• Use sector insight to identify opportunities for development of research and other initiatives, maintaining links and horizon scanning
• Provide SLA consultancy aligned with strategic approaches, supporting schools with development of their libraries, reading and information literacy provision to help children and young people reach their full potential
• Contribute to SLA communications such as TSL, newsletters, updates, and promotional materials
• Oversee the book review process in support of TSL, our quarterly journal

An ability to foster collaboration and community engagement will be an important part of this role. All team members contribute to office admin, maintaining member data and general office support.

To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:

• experience of working in school libraries, the education sector and a strong understanding of the education landscape
• strong knowledge of children and young people’s literature across the age ranges
• understanding of the curriculum and teaching and learning outcomes
• experience developing and delivering inspirational training, online and in person
• experience creating training resources, toolkits, teaching and learning activities
• the ability to galvanise and inspire others with flair and creativity
• the ability to multi-task, manage own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
• the ability to work hours flexibly around event and training delivery

The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

This is a remote working role, with regular all team meetings which you will be required to attend, in addition to training and events across the UK and online. Working patterns can be negotiated. The School Library Association (SLA) is an independent charity and membership organisation that believes every pupil is entitled to effective school library provision. The SLA supports all those working in school libraries. The Role

As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and food partner relationships, together with raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area.

The Community Coordinator will work across their designated area, with the following key outcomes:

• Charity recruitment and onboarding. Community Coordinators are responsible for maintaining and increasing the number of charities collecting from food partners in the CC’s area, by generating leads through their local networks and research, working with the Regional Support Team to guide charities through the FareShare Go onboarding process and matching charity needs to available food sources in their local area using the ‘right charity-right store’ principle.
• Charity account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with all the charities in their area, in collaboration with the Fareshare Go Customer Support Team, to ensure the best possible experience for their charities. CCs conduct charity account reviews in person or remotely, with all their charities at least once a year, carry out annual Food Safety Checks and follow up food safety or contract breaches to ensure that the FareShare Go programme delivers the very highest levels of food safety assurance for our food and charity partners.
• Food partner account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with food partner outlets in their area, working closely with the Escalated Customer Support Team to resolve issues between charities and outlets by visiting stores and restaurants to collaboratively fix problems and promote engagement by food partner colleagues. Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.
• Area development. As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme.  This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.
• Community marketing and engagement. Community Coordinators are ‘the face of FareShare Go’ in their local areas and promote the programme’s benefits to local voluntary organisations, umbrella groups and zero-waste and food insecurity groups.  They work collaboratively with FareShare Regional Centres in their area, researching local activities, presenting at group meetings and educating charities about FareShare Go and the food and other support they can access from our food partners

As a Community Fundraising Manager for Dementia UK, you will lead a team of regionally based fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising streams, with a strategic focus on high value supporter acquisition and engagement across regional corporates, organisations and individuals.

You will collaborate with the Head of Community Fundraising and Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager to deliver the community fundraising strategy and develop annual budgets.

You will be responsible for guiding your team to identify and secure community fundraising partnerships, building a strong pipeline of new business and developing exceptional supporter journeys. You will deliver exceptional stewardship for some of the team’s highest value supporters, that drives increased average gifts and long-term support.

Additionally, you will produce regular reports on marketing activities and stewardship performance, monitor financial and non-financial KPIs, and continuously leverage supporter insight data and external trend analysis to identify opportunities for income growth and operational improvements.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of delivering income across community fundraising streams, and an understanding of effective relationship fundraising techniques. You will be a strong motivator with experience in using a relationship database to support, inform and report on fundraising activity.

This role will predominately cover a defined region including North East England counties, East midlands, East Anglia, London and South East England, but you may on occasion be required to travel outside of this area to meet business need and attending mtgs and training in the London head office.

Responsibilities

• Projects and Workstreams: Overseeing and ensuring outstanding delivery on multiple community projects through Flood Action Groups and Multi-Agency Meetings. Support and manage data collection that meets the aims of each project.
• Community Engagement: Engage and empower flooded and at-risk communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes.  Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change.
• Report Writing: Ensure reports are on time and are to depth and quality required.
• Staff Training: Support staff and training manager to ensure comprehensive and appropriate training takes place to ensure continuous professional development. 
• Team Management: Line manage staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Modelling behaviours and driving forward team development.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong partnerships and leading on communications.
• Political and Fundraising Support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political influencing and fundraising activities. Contribute to and attend policy, political and strategic meetings.  Support fundraising activities through providing data and information. 
• Income: Identify future income opportunities, sharing information and building relationships for new projects or new income streams with Senior Management Team. 
• Support Senior Management Team proactive role to support to deliver NFF objectives.

Day-to-Day Activities

· You will manage and support Flood Engagement Officers to deliver their projects and work streams and managing development pathways for team members.

• Liaise and develop relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operational and community engagement activities.
• Support Senior Management Team to build income streams and develop new activity. Working to develop, support and deliver NFF strategy
• Providing information and case studies for communications and advocacy work

Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Technology Advisor, the Salesforce Administrator will play a crucial role in the successful implementation, development and ongoing support of the new Salesforce system and structure across our network.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Salesforce, including workflows, Flows, fields, page layouts, record types, dashboards, and reports.
• Manage user access, roles, profiles, permissions, and public groups.
• Provide daily first-line support to members, troubleshooting issues and handling change requests.
• Support community foundations employees in implementing and adapting their individual Salesforce instances.
• Automate business processes using tools such as Flows, approval processes, validation rules, and email alerts.
• Test and implement system improvements within a sandbox environment before deployment.
• Facilitate data migration and ensure data integrity.
• Perform system deployments and ensure a smooth transition for users.
• Work with colleagues to develop and maintain training materials, including video tutorials and documentation.
• Deliver user training and promote best practices across the network.
• Collaborate with Salesforce leads across community foundations to share knowledge and resolve issues.
