In this role, the individual will work as part of a multidisciplinary team—alongside clinicians, social workers, and community partners—to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness. They will hold a caseload of service users, acting as the key contact and contributing to care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge support using the clinical records system. A key focus will be the collaborative development of person-centred recovery plans that emphasise social goals and community integration. Using trauma-informed and strength-based approaches, they will build strong therapeutic relationships to support individuals in achieving their personal recovery goals. The role involves helping service users access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, or psychoeducational groups. They will promote recovery-focused, jargon-free communication, advocate for co-production and integrated care, and liaise with statutory and voluntary sector organisations to ensure smooth service navigation and warm handovers. Attendance at relevant clinical meetings and community events is expected, representing both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team. Accurate and timely documentation of support activities, risk assessments, and user progress is essential, along with maintaining safe and ethical practice in line with safeguarding protocols, health and safety procedures, and quality standards. The role also includes active participation in ongoing supervision, training, professional development, annual appraisals, and clinical oversight.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience in a mental health setting, with a strong understanding of mental health, recovery, and co-production principles. They will be skilled in care planning, risk assessment, and group facilitation, with knowledge of the Mental Health Act and experience working collaboratively across services and communities. Excellent communication, IT proficiency (including electronic case management tools), and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential. The candidate should be resilient, adaptable, and committed to trauma-informed, person-centred practice, with clear professional boundaries. About the Early Years Lunchtime Assistant role 

Based in the Coin Street neighbourhood centre, minutes from Waterloo and Blackfriars stations and on the doorstep of the bustling South Bank, our family and children’s centre puts the child at the centre of their unique learning journey and uses our surroundings as a place for real life learning.  

This provision encompasses a 59-place nursery, holiday play schemes, activity camps, creche facility to support parents to engage in training and support, and our work with external partners as part of our Family and Children’s Centre provision working with families across Waterloo and North Southwark.  

The Lunchtime Assistant will play a key role in supporting in relation to mealtimes, activities, general care and the safety and welfare of children to support the smooth running of the nursery.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Programme Development Manager represents an evolution from our Programme Manager role, focusing on shaping the future direction of The Avenues Youth Project's programmes whilst maintaining oversight of current delivery. This isn't just about managing what we do now, it's about looking ahead and designing what comes next.

Working closely with the Programme Director, you will be responsible for researching innovative approaches to youth work, developing funding proposals, and creating programmes that respond to the changing needs of young people aged 8-19. We need someone who can think creatively about engagement whilst keeping an eye on emerging trends and opportunities in the sector.

As a member of the senior team, you'll help embed our values throughout the organisation and ensure our programmes remain at the cutting edge of youth work practice.

Programme Innovation and Strategic Development

Programme Design and Innovation

● Research and develop innovative programme concepts that address emerging needs of young people within the community, utilising best practice from across the youth work sector.

Strategic Funding Development

● Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to identify funding opportunities that support programme development priorities and organisational objectives.

● Contribute to funding applications for new programme areas, ensuring proposals demonstrate clear impact potential and realistic delivery plans.

● Develop comprehensive business cases for programme expansion, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.

● Monitor funding environments and policy developments that may influence programme design.

Financial Administration

● Work with the Finance Controller to ensure high-level financial administration and record keeping, with accountability for project expenditure.

● Maintain clear understanding of AYP's programme budgets and finances, with responsibility for budgeting, monitoring and reporting of assigned budgets.

● Participate in regular budget meetings with the Programme Director and work with the Finance Controller to ensure costs remain within budget.

● Check and approve Lead Youth Workers timesheets for allocated budgets and resolve discrepancies.

Safeguarding and Compliance

● Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and carry out responsibilities in strict accordance with AYP's Safeguarding Policy,

● Work with TACs, PRUs, Police, Early Help Teams, MARFS, LADO etc. where required to ensure safety of all young people, staff and volunteers,

● Act as main point of contact for safeguarding referrals, working in partnership with other agencies to ensure safety and wellbeing,

The Fundraising Officer role sits within the ambitious fundraising team and will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to deliver our strong events and community activities.

In this role you will be responsible for providing excellent supporter care to individuals who are taking part in events or organising their own activities, as well as managing our fundraising products. This includes managing the fundraising database; accurately inputting donations onto the database.

• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission

EECF supports communities through our charitable activities of grants and programmes.  In 2024/25 these totalled over £1.6m and we intend to increase our grant making year on year to provide greater and longer-term support so we can continue to make a difference to the lives of local people by supporting vital community-based projects with grant funding. We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Energy Adviser to deliver advice and support right where it’s needed most — in the heart of local communities across North London.

This isn’t your typical office-based role. You’ll be the face of NEA’s Mobile Advice Centre, a specially equipped vehicle you’ll drive to community hubs, events, and neighbourhoods to provide one-to-one support, group sessions, and energy-saving guidance. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your energy advice expertise with on-the-ground outreach – building relationships, offering support in-person, and making a real difference to people’s lives where they live. Whether you’re parked at a local market or set up at a community centre, your role will be hands-on, visible, and truly impactful.

• A full driving licence and confidence travelling across North London 
• Experience giving energy advice to householders, particularly those in vulnerable or low-income situations 
• A genuine passion for community outreach and engagement 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• A flexible, empathetic approach with the ability to work independently

We are offering: 

• £29,064 – £34,267 (FTE) – Points 12-22 (plus £3,300 London Weighting if applicable). Appointments are usually made at the starting point of the scale.

• 25 days annual leave (FTE) plus 3 additional days in between Christmas New Year Period when our offices close; plus, all public holidays per annum for full time staff, pro-rata for part time staff.

Black Thrive Global (BTG) works to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black communities. We embed race equity in systems change and co-create solutions alongside communities. 

Just Like Us (JLU) is the UK’s LGBT+ young people’s charity, empowering 18–25-year-olds to share their experiences in schools and improve LGBT+ inclusion through peer-led talks and ambassador programmes. 

This joint role represents an exciting partnership between two organisations committed to racial justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion and systemic transformation. 

1. Just Like Us (3.5 days/week): To support the delivery of Just Like Us’ Ambassador and School Talks programmes – including recruitment, training and coordination of young LGBT+ volunteers and engaging with schools to foster inclusive environments. 

2.  Black Queer & Thriving: There is potential for this role to expand in scope (up to 1.5 additional days per week), subject to funding. Should this occur, the role may include additional responsibilities in line with the aims of the Black LGBTQ+ Working Group and Southwark engagement priorities. Any change in working hours or duties would be discussed and agreed in advance. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Just Like Us (3.5 days/week) 

- Support the delivery of the Ambassador Programme, including recruitment, training and retention of LGBT+ volunteers aged 18–25. 

- Coordinate and run community events for Black LGBT+ young people to support outreach and recruitment of volunteers. 

- Represent Just Like Us at events such as conferences and prides to amplify our programmes to a range of audiences. 

- Support Just Like Us volunteer recruitment drives by building relationships with university societies and volunteering services, community partners and charity partners in London and the South East. 

- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of LGBT+ mentors. 

- Attend relevant cross-team meetings with the Just Like Us team such as the fortnightly Ambassador Recruitment meeting 

- Support with the quality assurance of school talks through observations and slide checks. 

- Assist the volunteering team with the coordination and delivery of ambassador skills workshops where needed. 

- Work with the project evaluation consultant to assist with the running of focus groups.

- Conduct exit interviews with Black LGBT+ ambassadors. 

-Support on a social action project with Black LGBT+ ambassadors in Year 3 

- Ensure all activities are inclusive, trauma-informed and aligned with principles of equity and justice.

The post will have a key role to support, develop and grow smaller groups who have unique relationships with, and understanding of, “seldom heard” groups in the borough.

In this post, funded for 2 years,  you will focus on:

• Identifying and engaging with these groups to better understand their service offer, user base and development needs.
• Connecting: Building trusting and supportive relationships to help form connections across the wider sector by establishing an informal grassroots network of micro VCSEs in Bromley to build a sustainable support system of peer support and intelligence sharing.
• Developing: Providing tailored capacity building support to groups to maximise the positive impact of their services such as support with communications, coordination, governance, funding and premises to name a few.
• Promoting: Enable greater recognition of, respect for, and relationships between micro grassroots VCSEs and health partners in Bromley as well as wider awareness among residents of the services offered by these groups to boost their impact.

The post will include outreach with a focus in the areas of highest health inequalities.

The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and achieving LCF’s income strategy, with particular focus on developing, prospecting, and building relationships with high value donors, corporates, financial advisors, and wealth management. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be a strategic Director, whilst also leading on key donor facing relationships. This role will be critical to leading and executing successful engagement strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, with the support of a small team of two.
 
The successful candidate will be able to evidence setting strategy and delivering successful high value income generation growth. This person will be able to demonstrate identifying and securing gifts of a six-figure plus level. They will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic senior networks. This person will have managed other team members before and be a strong communicator with other senior internal stakeholders and external donors.
