About This Job
This is an exciting role in Army Cadet Headquarters which provides administrative support to the functional delivery areas of the syllabus. We are looking for a person to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and support administration across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.
This post is primarily to support DofE and First Aid but may, where required, be surged to cover short term administrative responsibilities for other activity areas.
This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be home-based. However, regular travel across the UK attend events and meetings will be required.
Essential Skills
§ Experienced and skilled administrator and planner, who can work under own initiative in both office and remote environments.
§ Demonstrable success in establishing effective working relationship across a range of organisations at all levels.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
§ IT literate; experienced user of Microsoft office with experience in using document management systems, such as SharePoint.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. As an experienced professional with a proven track record in learning and development, and management, you will be part of a Learning Network (LN), within the Ministries and Learning team and part of the Connexional Team of The Methodist Church.
The LN comprises 30+ staff working as part of a single team operating across the Methodist Church in Britain. The team is strategically and collaboratively managed by Learning and Development Managers (LDMs), each having responsibility for a number of Learning and Development Officers (LDO) working within a geographical area. We are seeking to recruit an LDM for appointment within the Cymru Wales, West Midlands and South West, or the South East Methodist Districts.
There is a requirement to live within this geography that includes the Methodist districts: Bedfordshire, Essex, & Hertfordshire, Bristol, Channel Islands, East Anglia, Lincolnshire, London, Northampton, Nottingham and Derby, Southampton, South East, South West Peninsular, Wales Synod Cymru, and West Midlands.
Responsibilities of the Learning Development Manager include:
- strategic shared leadership of the LN
 - leading and managing the LDOs, balancing the needs and expectations of lay and ordained
 - developing, implementing and reviewing, alongside other LDMs and the Director of Ministry Learning, the strategic work plan of the LN
 - building and maintaining good relationships across the Connexional Team and with individuals and communities across the church and beyond
 - encouraging the sharing of individual gifts and experiences across a number of teams and stakeholders
 - travel (including overnight stays), weekend and evening work
 
We are looking for someone who has:
- proven experience of coordinating and managing a dispersed team of staff and volunteers

What You'll Bring:
- Experience of working in an Advocacy capacity in the voluntary sector, public service, legal service or Armed services.

- Proven ability to understand and interpret complex legislation (specifically related to War Pensions and AFCS).

This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

Introduction
Herts Welcomes Refugees is at a transitional stage of its development, moving from a charity 
managed entirely by volunteers to one in which a small team of paid staff at its core facilitate and 
support the trustees to guide the work of the 170 or so volunteers. The staff team currently 
comprises a Volunteer Coordinator an IT Support Assistant and soon we will also be recruiting an 
Administrative Assistant. The Director will also work collaboratively with the (volunteer) 
Management Committee, the volunteer teams delivering services across the county and those 
volunteers providing support in key areas such as evaluation media and safeguarding.
Having come through a period of rapid development in the last four years, we now need to 
consolidate our knowledge and experience and further professionalise how we operate to ensure 
the sustainability and further development of the charity. Whilst committed to remaining a 
volunteer led charity, we need an energetic and experienced Director to support the trustees in
achieving our objectives and take the charity into the next phase of its development.
This brand-new senior role, which is being created as part of a new three-year funding programme by the
National Lottery Community Fund, is key to the next stage of our development. The postholder 
will need to be flexible in working with the Trustees, existing staff team and volunteers to help 
steer the charity through this transition.

Our School Membership Coordinators are there to ensure our members are engaged and making the most of their membership. The role is a hybrid of relationship management and workshop delivery. You would be joining a team that values motivation, curiosity, flexibility and openness to new perspectives and approaches.

Key dates to be aware of:
Friday 31st October 12am (midday) – Information and Q&A session
This is an optional session where you can hear more about the role and ask any questions you may have.
We recommend attending to help you prepare the strongest possible application.
Sunday 9th November 12pm (midnight) – Applications close.
You will hear back from us on or before 12th November.
Thursday 20th November – Interviews will take place in-person in either London, Birmingham or Manchester depending on applications received (all travel for interviews will be covered)

Our core team comes from a variety of backgrounds including partnership development, fundraising, delivery, teaching, programmes and communications.
