Job description

KRAN has ambitious targets for refugee and asylum-seeking young people’s outcomes and this new role will be driven to help achieve our vision that young people in KRAN are safe, can belong and thrive in the local community. The Learning Hubs and Policy Manager will work on the strategic and operational level to support the delivery of Learning for Life classes across hubs in Kent. They will foster a work environment that empowers and offers a safe positive, supportive space for vulnerable young people, working with our partners to incorporate safeguarding best practices into our programming and delivery of an excellent Learning for Life programme. They will lead the process of integrating all policies and processes to minimise the risk to vulnerable young adults across all our work, ensuring a consistent, effective and coordinated organisational approach to safeguarding and learning delivery.

The successful candidate will work at the strategic, management and operational level with staff to ensure the needs of the young people are met in partnership with other service providers and foster carers. They will manage relationships expertly, with a wide range of stakeholders, in particular, KCC, Social Workers, Personal Assistants, VSK, foster carers and other key stakeholders. They will ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place and being implemented and that our learning provision is of a consistent standard and quality across the hub sites. This will enable the best opportunities for young people to reach their potential and that the right people are working to support them and ensure effective and robust provisions are in place across the hubs. They will ensure the smooth delivery across our main and orbital hubs of Learning for Life classes, essential life skills and progression routes for NEETS.
