As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement. 

Working context: 

• You will be required to work variable/unsociable hours including evenings and Saturdays 
• Based on playground sites outside of regular office hours 
• You will be required to work from a second playground site (Chelsea Playground) on occasion 
• Managing a flexible workforce 

Key responsibilities: 

• To manage and supervise staff in the provision of the service 
• Brief staff effectively so they provide a positive play experience 
• Make sure there is a programme of activities that provide children with choices and opportunity for different play and social activities 
• Respond to and develop play episodes with children and other play practitioners  
• Take responsibility for providing 1-1 support for children with a range of disabilities 
• Keep written children records up to date and accurate 
• Demonstrate and record that children are involved in the development and planning of the playground 
• Effectively recruit and prepare play staff to undertake the requirements of the role 
• Co-ordinate and take management responsibilities for external visits and outings 
• To assist the Manager with the physical responsibilities of the playground including site inspections, maintenance, renewals and utilities.  
• To be aware of the budgets and the management of them 
• Make sure the playground meets regulatory requirements including Ofsted, H&S and Quality in Play.  
• Liaise on operational level with relevant Local Authority officers 
• Attend relevant regional and KIDs meetings 
• Participation in your own supervision and Continuing Professional Development 
• Within the post there is an agreed level of decision making responsibility in the delivery of the service especially in the absence of the Manager.  

To be able to carry out this role it is essential that you have the following characteristics: 

• Significant experience of working with disabled children in a play setting 
• Knowledge of disabilities/ impairments and impact on child and family members 
• Ability to engage and support children in a variety of play experiences without supervision 
• Experience of implementing an activity programme 
• Experience of coaching and mentoring sessional workers in areas of good practice 
• Understanding of current Safeguarding processes 
• Ability to work on your own and problem solve with little input from line managers 
• The capacity to undertake, when required, the range of management, development, administrative and liaison duties.  
• Good numeracy and literacy skills 
• Computer literate- good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite

• Social welfare advice social prescribing: Specialist support delivered by a qualified social welfare advisor to address housing and benefit needs.
• Mental Health Community Connectors: Supporting people with serious mental illness (SMI) to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on services.
• Community self-referrals: Designated link worker receiving social prescribing self-referrals from the Centre.

Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute with expertise in preventing and addressing harm at the individual, community and inter-state levels. We are one of the world’s leading experts in transferring complex criminological and social justice concepts into practice through real-life pilots and community projects. 

The UK Operations Director will lead on the delivery, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of RJ4All’s UK-based services, and especially those run from the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. It is expected that they will generate income for the UK operations and contribute to new ideas for UK-based projects that fall within RJ4All’s agreed strategy. Finally, the post holder will act in place of the Director when they are unavailable or for any other agreed reason.

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or related

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a relevant field such as equalities or crime prevention

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. Key responsibilities:

Communication and Collaboration

• Effectively line manage and provide leadership to Grant Managers and Programme Officers, contributing to the high performance of the Programmes & Accountability team.
• Manage the Appeal Surge Roster (external consultants) including overseeing recruitment and necessary training.
• As Serious Incident Reporting Officer, manage processes and support with onward reporting to key stakeholders including FCDO and Charity Commission.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

HBF is seeking an experienced and dynamic lawyer for an interim period to give direction to the Legal Protection, Medico-Legal and Client Services of the Foundation. This role is crucial for advancing the rights and protection of our clients, many of whom are vulnerable individuals seeking asylum or are survivors of trafficking. We do not provide legal representation directly to our clients, instead we act as a support team to our clients and their legal representation by providing second tier advice.  The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure the highest standards of legal protection, and contribute to the overall mission of the Foundation including developing relationships that promote HBF’s expertise and reputation. As is the nature of work in this sector, the role will expose the postholder to traumatic and distressing material and, whilst they will be supported by the CEO and the surrounding team, they should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of the self-care principles needed to manage working in an intense work environment and be able to collaborate in the dissemination of those principles to other members of the team. Clinical supervision will be offered to support the appointed post-holder where necessary.
