You will also be an excellent communicator, confident working across teams and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving national organisation.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office at least once a fortnight, and more frequently where required to meet business needs. The role also involves national travel, which may include overnight stays.

Purpose of the Role
The Communications and Engagement Officer will lead on programme communications, coordinating and delivering the day-to-day communications that power the Community Health Champion CHC) programme. Context and purpose of role
At the Ramblers, our ability to connect with supporters, manage members, and empower volunteers depends on the smooth running of our CRM (Salesforce). The CRM Operations Analyst plays a vital role in making this possible.
By managing day-to-day CRM operations, handling imports, selections, and user support, you ensure that colleagues across the organisation can trust the data they use and work efficiently. Your contribution means communications are targeted and accurate, volunteer and supporter records are reliable, and teams can focus on their mission rather than system issues.
Your work ensures that colleagues can rely on accurate data and smooth processes, so supporters receive timely communications, members feel well served, and volunteers have the information they need to play their part.
Key Responsibilities
User Support & Administration
Provide first-line technical support for Salesforce, resolving user issues related to access, new fields, layouts, and general functionality, escalating complex configuration or system-wide issues to the Senior Database Administrator where required.
Provide second-line support for record-level data issues (e.g. duplicates, permissions, missing fields, or data discrepancies), escalating where necessary for complex data or automation errors.
Provide guidance to staff on how best to use Salesforce for their day-to-day needs.
Maintain and update user accounts, roles, and permissions.
Deliver basic in-house training sessions and user guides to support adoption.

The opportunity

The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. Reporting to the Head of Faculties, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of three of our six Faculties, working with world leading surgeons and healthcare professionals who generously volunteer their time to advance surgical education and, ultimately, improve patient care across the world.
You will also lead and develop a small, high performing team comprising a Faculty Development Lead, A Faculty Coordinator and shared support from a Coordinator and an Administrator. As a people leader, you will create an environment where colleagues feel supported, empowered and able to do their best work. Balancing day to day operational delivery with longer term development and continuous improvement.
No two days are the same. One morning you might be advising a Faculty Chair on governance matter. By lunchtime
you could be developing a business case for a new educational initiative, supporting your team through a challenging piece of work, or troubleshooting an unexpected operational problem. In the afternoon, you may be leading a cross College project, bringing together colleagues from across departments to deliver a new service, improve member experience or develop innovative ways of supporting our Faculties. Success in this role comes from working collaboratively across the organisation, building strong relationships and bringing people together around shared goals.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, thinks strategically but is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, and can switch confidently between coaching a colleague, influencing senior stakeholders, leading collaborative projects and solving practical problems.
