The Senior Manager, Audience & Communication will have a critical role to play in the coming years; driving engagement with larger, more diverse audiences as we establish Crystal Palace Park as an exemplar in urban park management, community-led regeneration and cultural and heritage programming whilst restoring its position as one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions.
About the role
The role of Senior Manager, Audience & Communications offers a hugely exciting opportunity for a creative, dynamic and strategic communications and marketing professional to join the charity at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
You will be able to develop and deliver creative and compelling multi-channel campaigns to meet objectives including:
- Raising the profile of the park and its iconic, award-winning indoor and outdoor venues, such as the Crystal Palace Subway, Italian Terraces, and Concert Platform, as a home for world-class arts, culture and heritage;
- Broadening access, deepening participation and extending reach with larger and more diverse audiences;
- Providing a high level of customer service to park visitors, users and the surrounding communities;
- Supporting income generation as part of the Trust’s remit to deliver an innovative new business model to underpin a sustainable and vibrant future for this complex and historic landscape; and
- Promoting opportunities for local residents to get involved in caring for this unique landscape such as volunteering, membership and philanthropic giving.
To help achieve these objectives you will oversee the work of a Senior Communications & Marketing Officer to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of all communications and marketing channels whether digital, press or physical in-park signage.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Currently corporate income at Trinity averages £150-200k per annum and incorporates a small local business supporters programme, corporate sponsorship of hospice events or services and several larger corporate partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships Manager is a newly created role and they will work to increase income from corporate and business partners over the next 3 years. They will develop a strategy for growing this important area of fundraising and execute it.
The successful candidate will build on what has been achieved to date to enhance our corporate offering, which will include engaging more businesses through the Local Business Heroes programme, working in partnership with other departments of the hospice to facilitate corporate volunteering and visits. They will work collaboratively with the Events Coordinator and Head of Philanthropy and Events to secure sponsorship for key events such as the RTH Gala Dinner, Dinner and Quiz, Opera at the Hospice, Light up A Life and others underpinning their financial success. In addition, we will look to the new Manager to enhance and develop our current offering. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will be supported by a small team of Fundraising Executives as required and report to the Head of Fundraising.
The successful candidate will:
·Lead on developing and implementing an ambitious corporate fundraising strategy for our client to increase income to £300k+ over the next three years.
·Manage and grow our existing corporate partnerships, retaining relationships where possible and increasing income.
·Improve both our promotion of corporate giving and the processes to steward corporate relationships.
·Manage and grow our SME programme Local Business Heroes with the support of the Fundraising Executives.
·Develop and deliver creative partnership plans, including stewardship, communication, and fundraising strategies.
·Identify and execute income generation, awareness, and volunteering opportunities with partners.
·Create and implement annual fundraising plans, coordinating with internal teams to support partner activities.

Experience, knowledge, skills, and characteristics
Required:
·At least two years of corporate fundraising or corporate relationship management experience.
·A strong track record in managing corporate fundraising promotion and relationship management to achieve sustainable growth.
·An interest and understanding of the importance of corporate support for a local hospice or other charitable organisation.
·A passion for fundraising and aligning with a corporate’s CSR / ESG goals to create meaningful change.
·Excellent relationship management and donor stewardship skills, with the ability to engage with high-net-worth individuals and other key stakeholders.
·Experience of running a variety of campaigns, events or products and monitoring budgets.
·Excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact successfully with a wide and varied group of supporters and colleagues.
·Well-organised, and confident in planning and executing activities.
·Demonstrably able to manage time and priorities workload effectively.

Job Summary
Working with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role supports high-value corporate partnerships through engagement, stewardship, and identifying new opportunities aligned with the charity’s goals. Key Responsibilities
- Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with varying audiences, including corporate partners
- A strong interest in mental health and in data and technology, and an understanding of corporate partnership opportunities for the sector

About SPANA

About this role
Over the past two years, SPANA has made significant investments in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), culminating in the establishment of an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate. Led by the Head of Data Insight and MEAL, this team works collaboratively with the Programme Quality and Development, Animal Health and Welfare and Education, Community Education and SBCC teams to strengthen evidence-based programming and impact measurement.
The MEAL Manager plays a central role in advancing SPANA’s MEAL systems, providing technical expertise and support to SPANA UK staff and over 20 global partners. The role contributes to the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks that effectively measure the organisation’s impact on the health and welfare of working animals. In addition, the MEAL Manager promotes innovative approaches to data use, supports evidence-based learning and line manages the Data Insights Officer.
Contract, location and salary
This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.
The salary for this position is c.£45,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience. SPANA is pleased to offer a range of benefits including a generous company pension scheme with 10% employer contribution if the employee contributes a minimum 5%, and health care cash plan.

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that can work flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. This includes a growing portfolio of projects tackling key challenges like inclusive EV charging, complex community transport funding opportunities, and large-scale research such as the National Centre for Accessible Transport.
We are now recruiting several Grant Managers to join this team and help us deliver our vision. This role works within a dedicated team to assess grant applications from charities and organisations applying to the Motability Foundation for grant-funding to support their work in the disability transport sector.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, purpose-led team driving change in the transport system for disabled people and to work on some of the most interesting and impactful projects in the sector.
What you will be doing:
- Manage grant delivery, including assessment, due diligence, contracting, monitoring, and closure, across our funding rounds.
- Engage with all levels of applicant and grantee organisations to understand their work, assess their proposals, and provide support and challenge to strengthen delivery and outcomes.
- Undertake financial, reputational, governance, and operational due diligence in line with our policies and risk appetite.
- Produce high quality assessments of applications for review by our grant panels, including award recommendations.
- Work with applicant organisations to develop and agree contractual grant agreements.
- Manage and monitor multi-year grant awards to ensure objectives and KPIs are achieved within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Ensuring all of our data records are kept up-to-date including reconciling payment schedules to grant records.
- Work closely with colleagues across the TST to provide insight from delivery into programme development, and to learn from others’ work across research, innovation and partnerships.
- Staying abreast of key issues facing the disability and transport sectors, to understand how these shape and influence applications to Motability’s grant programmes.
- Support delivery of non-traditional funding mechanisms such as challenge prizes, research calls, or commercial commissioning approaches, contributing to assessment and management.
Your experience:
- Experienced in assessing, managing, monitoring and evaluating grant applications or similar roles related to charitable grant making.
- Understanding of not-for-profit structures, including charities, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations.
- Experience in writing a variety of styles including academic, reports, and impact.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise when faced with a continuous flow of applications and variable work load.
- Experience of effectively engaging at all levels within applicant organisations leading discussions where necessary.
- Good with numbers, and the ability to understand and interpret budgets and accounts.
- Able to engage with grant applicants and build an ongoing positive rapport.
- Strong IT skills including experience working with the MS Office suite.
- Experience within the disability sector and/or direct or indirect experience of the mobility challenges faced by disabled people would be advantageous, but not essential.
