This is an important strategic role within our organisation. You will lead the Welcome to All partnership of 10 organisations which supports displaced people in Somerset. You will also provide line management for the managers of the CCS Welcome Hub provision.

You will work with the Head of Programmes, our Commissioners, community leaders, delivery partner organisations and wider stakeholders to ensure that the Welcome to All programme delivers our strategic goals and that we are collaborating effectively with statutory and community based partners, including the wider VCFSE sector.

You will be a key member of the Programmes Team, and will work with our Senior Programmes Manager, Village Agent Programme Manager and Somerset Diverse Communities Programme Manager to ensure that all of our community development work is well integrated; and we are making the most of opportunities, internal and external that will help to improve quality of life for individuals and communities in Somerset.

As a Community Support Worker, you will work alongside the Community Hub Service Manager, providing frontline support to individuals and families who come to the Makery for help. This role requires proven experience in safeguarding, crisis intervention, and advocacy, as well as the ability to risk assess and respond appropriately to a range of situations.

Applications will not be considered without relevant Safeguarding experience and training, and proven track record of working in a community support role (not domicilary care)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Frontline Support & Safeguarding

• Providing immediate crisis support, signposting, and making referrals to specialist services.

• Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), handling safeguarding concerns and ensuring individuals are safe.

• Conducting risk assessments to determine the most appropriate support for individuals.

• Offering mental health first aid, de-escalating crises, and providing practical guidance to those in distress.

• Having a strong understanding of MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences) and how they function, though referrals will be handled by the manager.

• Community Support & Advocacy

• Engaging with individuals facing issues such as homelessness, addiction, domestic abuse, bereavement, and mental health struggles.

• Providing information, advice, and guidance (IAG), helping individuals navigate support systems and access appropriate resources.

• Advocating on behalf of individuals to ensure they receive the help they need from local services.

• Working to break isolation and loneliness by offering time, conversation, and emotional support.

• Teamwork & Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Community Hub Manager to ensure a smooth-running service.

• Supporting volunteers, engaging in community outreach, and building relationships with external organisations.

• Being hands-on in the hub, whether that’s making a cup of tea, preparing a meal, or simply offering a listening ear.

• Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all visitors.

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and adaptable individual who:

• Has proven experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), including handling referrals and working with safeguarding protocols.

• Holds mental health first aid training and has strong knowledge of risk assessment and crisis intervention.

• Has direct experience working with individuals facing domestic abuse, addiction, homelessness, or mental health challenges.

• Understands information, advice, and guidance (IAG) and knows how to advocate for individuals in need.

• Has experience working in a community support setting with vulnerable individuals.

• Is a team player, willing to support colleagues, volunteers, and visitors in any way needed.

• Can remain calm and professional in unpredictable situations and respond appropriately.

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental approach.

Qualifications and Experience (Essential):

• Educational Background: Possession of an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in fields such as Mental Health, Community Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or other related disciplines.

• Safeguarding Certification: Holding a Level 3 or 4 Safeguarding certification, qualifying them to serve as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

• Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in community engagement, mental health support, or outreach work, specifically within community settings rather than traditional care environments.

• Skill Set: Proficiency in applying safeguarding measures, trauma-informed care approaches, and mental health support strategies.

• Community Engagement: Proven ability to support vulnerable individuals, engage effectively with diverse communities, and implement programs that promote mental well-being.

Bluesci is recruiting for a manager to join our Bluesci at Night team!

At Bluesci, we believe that everyone deserves good mental health and wellbeing. Our staff and volunteers, many of whom have experienced our services, collaborate with individuals and their communities to help them achieve their aspirations and wellness.  

Bluesci operates across the borough of Trafford from four Wellbeing Centres, offering arts, cultural and volunteering opportunities, social prescribing, talking therapies, and group support. We partner with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust (GMMH) to deliver Trafford Living Well and with Trafford Libraries to co-deliver library services from two of our centres. Bluesci at Night offers a safe, welcoming space for people 365 nights a year, and we also provide Smoking Cessation Support.   

This is an exciting new role to head up DanceSyndrome’s Community work across Lancashire developing, nurturing, growing, and managing our community workshops. At the heart of our organisation are our weekly bespoke Community Inclusive Dance Workshops; ‘Everybody Dance’. These workshops are co-delivered by a qualified Dance Leader with a learning disability, working side-by-side with a non-disabled Dance Artist. As part of our ambitious strategy, we will be establishing several new workshops across Lancashire over the next five years and co-delivering inclusive dance provision for all ages from early years through to adulthood by 2030.

As Head of Community, you will oversee several vibrant and active communities; build community engagement and cohesion; and to collect, collate and analyse key data to demonstrate impact and to drive forward strategic planning and decision making. This is alongside developing and managing both strategic and operational long-term partnerships & collaborations across communities in the North-West and building and executing an engaging and effective Volunteer Programme to support all Community workshops.

This role supports strand one of DanceSyndrome’s ambitious strategy; Vision 2023; ‘To deliver an outstanding, collaborative, and high-quality programme of co-produced and co-delivered inclusive dance across the North-West’.

You will identify, understand and engage with key partners and Stakeholders who can support DanceSyndrome’s ambitions to be the ‘go to’ and ‘organisation of choice’ for people with learning disabilities, leadership opportunities and an inclusive unique co-led delivery model which doesn’t exist anywhere else. Through effective partnership working, you will work across sectors and reach under-served and diverse communities. You will also be able to identify key barriers to access, gaps in current provision across the region and seek valuable evidence to inform strategy and to feed back to funders.

You will be an extremely personable and approachable individual with a strategic mind, and persuasive manner who is able to reach and attract new participants, increase engagement in our Community workshops, and secure local community engagement to ensure the long-term sustainability of DanceSyndrome’s community offering.

You will turn leads in sales in a variety of ways from initiating unusual and impactful partnerships, growing the number of beneficiaries, increasing sales of our products and services, securing in-kind support and vital funding.

You will also develop and manage an engaging and rewarding Volunteer Programme across key communities including recruiting, training, onboarding and retaining volunteers.

We're recruiting a Team Manager to lead specialist domestic abuse services that centre survivors and disrupt harm across Liverpool

We are looking for a team manager to lead the delivery of our frontline interventions and support services across stalking, child-to-parent violence and abuse, and our flagship ANCHOR project. The successful candidate will also lead on a new Friends & Family initiative, CALL (Creating A Life Line). 

You will supervise and support a team woring across complex risk and trauma, ensuring survivors are heard, believed, and empowered to make decisions on their terms.

SEL Mind are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub (BMHH), as part of the ongoing transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley. The service integrates the expertise of local primary, secondary, and voluntary sector providers to offer flexible, holistic and person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Manager to join the BMHH team on a one year fixed-term basis. During the fixed-term period, the post holder will lead on reviewing, strengthening and developing the peer support pathway. You will play a key role in shaping support for our clients that enhances quality of life, choice and opportunity. You’ll be integral in leading the pathway to achieve its objectives to help clients improve confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and encourage independence and integration into their local community. 

In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of peer support in the BMHH, including line management of a Senior Peer Support Coordinator who oversees delivery of both one-to-one and group-based peer support, delivered by the wider peer support team. The role also holds responsibility for supporting the team in dealing with risk and safeguarding matters that may arise. Occasional out-of-hours work may also be required to support the team in their group delivery outside of core office hours.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to recovery-focused practice, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with SEL Mind colleagues and within a multidisciplinary team in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will have strong line management experience and experience of delivering peer support services, including experience of working with people who have complex or heightened needs. You will also possess a strong understanding of the principles of peer support.

Key Responsibilities

The Event Manager plans and organises events, from start to finish, to ensure their successful delivery across Brixton House 7 studio spaces, 2 theatres and Café Bar.

No one day is the same at Brixton House. The versatility of the building enables us to host a wide range of events such as Meetings, Screenings, Conferences, Festivals, Music Gigs and Book Launches.

Event Coordination

• Meet with the client to understand the requirements of the event and the vision of the delivery
• Coordinate the various internal teams (technical, production, Customer Service Host) prior and on the day of the event
• Liaise with external contractors/supplier
• Develop and manage the event timeline in efficient manner

Venue Space Management

• Ensure the venue is fully equipped with tools, furniture, AV equipment
• Manage and set up the space according to resources and technical requirements
• Ensure the space aligns with the client’s vision and Brixton House standards
• Ensure all events comply to Brixton House policies (Health & Safety, Safeguarding, GDPR…)
• Conduct safety checks throughout the event

Management and Delivery

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients providing excellent customer service
• Address and resolve any issues that arise prior, during and after the event
• Ensure client satisfaction to secure returning business

Reporting

• Conduct post event internal and external evaluation to identify areas to improve
• Seek client’s feedback
• Report to Head of Commercial on budget

We’re expanding our Income Generation team with this new role, which will be critical in securing funding to enable us to support more people, in very different ways.

As Community Partnerships Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our fundraising efforts, generating income from our corporate partners and supporters in our community; fuelling our essential programs and pioneering pilot initiatives. You'll be the driving force behind building strong relationships with businesses, charities and individuals, that secure vital funding and skilled volunteers for our services.

Previous experience in a community or corporate fundraising role is not essential, but you must have the ability to network productively and pitch proposals to a variety of audiences.

The Income Generation and Communications department is a small but high-performing and ambitious team, working flexibly to support the charity’s frontline services. You’ll be joining a team that will give you the support to be successful, with the autonomy to develop your own role.

From time to time, you will need to represent the charity at events, support bids for contracts, and attend networking opportunities. This will mean occasionally working evenings, weekends or on your non-working days. We’ll give you notice of when this is required, and you’ll be able to claim your time back.

This role can be office based or predominantly remote to suit you (albeit there will be times when you need to be in Billericay or elsewhere in Essex).

We’re open to negotiating the working pattern with the successful candidate, to be as flexible as possible.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

· Full driving license. Able to drive Hamelin vehicles as well as use of own car

· Experience of writing professionally and persuasively

· Experience of working across teams and influencing other Managers

· Experience of presenting complex information for a variety of audiences

· Great communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and credibility

· Bravery to challenge the status quo and embrace a continuous improvement approach

· The ability to understand complex information and analyse data

· ICT skills such as the MS Office suite

It would be great if you had:

· Formal qualification or training in fundraising, marketing, sales, bid writing or other fundraising disciplines

· Experience of building deep and beneficial relationships with businesses

· Experience of working with individuals with a learning disability or neurodiversity

· Experience of change management and service growth
