The Diocese of Rochester is committed to equipping its churches and leaders for growth and transformation. As part of this, we are seeking a Missional Development Parishes (MDP) Project Manager to join our Programme Team based at the Diocesan Office in Rochester.

The MDP Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of 15 strategically funded parish projects supported by the National Church. Working with the Head of Programmes, Diocesan colleagues, and parish representatives, the Project Manager will oversee planning, budgeting, governance, and reporting processes across the MDP project. This role will be vital in supporting parish leaders and PCCs to lead and deliver their local MDP initiatives effectively.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and highly organised project manager, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to manage risk, track project outcomes, and support change across a variety of contexts. A background in monitoring and evaluation is important, and a desire to serve the mission of the Church will be key to thriving in this role. Experience of working with Church of England structures is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build strong working relationships with the 15 MDPs, acting as a governance and communications link with the Diocesan MDP Project Board

· Oversee and report on progress, risks, outcomes, and finances across all MDP projects

· Track progress against milestones and budgets, escalating risks and managing changes as needed

· Support the sharing of learning and success stories in collaboration with the Communications Officer and Mission and Ministry Development team

· Manage the MDP budget, including drawing down and allocating funds and reporting to stakeholders

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. CCT’s 2025 -30 strategy focuses on delivering conservation projects across our estate and securing income from grant funders will be crucial.  We will also work with local communities to address smaller conservation projects via the Community Initiative Framework.

The Grants Officer will research and identify relevant funding opportunities, build a healthy pipeline, and submit applications for project funding to meet fundraising targets during an exciting period of growth.

There will be requirement for occasional travel for project visits and team meetings.

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate. 
• Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
• Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
• Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
• Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
• Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
• Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
• Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.

About the Opportunity:

As a brand-new role, this is a unique and exciting role for a learning and development professional to shape and embed a learning culture within the organisation and build an equitable and inclusive training and learning framework.

Reporting into the Head of Human Resources, you will work closely with colleagues across the charity to design and deliver impactful, inclusive learning programmes and interventions that enable Turn2us’s people to feel empowered to deliver on system-changing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Director of People and Culture and Head of Human Resources to develop the organisation’s L&D strategy, ensuring alignment with Turn2us’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Conduct regular skills audits and create tailored learning pathways across the organisation.
• Collaborate with the EDIB Committee to embed inclusive, equitable training at all levels.
• Create and deliver management development training covering leadership, compliance, and best practice.
• Design onboarding and induction programmes that set new staff up for success.
• Establish metrics to measure learning impact and foster continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain a central knowledge hub, including external partnerships with learning providers.

About You:

• Experienced in L&D strategy, training needs analysis, and programme design.
• Knowledgeable in HR practices and committed to EDIB principles.
• A confident communicator, able to build trusted relationships across all levels.
• Self-motivated, collaborative and organised.
• Ideally experienced in facilitation, though this is not essential.

The HR and Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the London Irish Centre’s (LIC) internal operations, with strategic oversight of all HR functions, organisational policies, facilities management, and volunteer coordination.

Key areas of responsibility

• Lead the day-to-day HR function providing support to staff across all areas of HR.

• Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team.

• Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function.

• Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.

• Oversee all recruitment processes.

• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle - from induction to exit - while implementing talent retention strategies, performance management systems, and succession planning.

• Oversee organisational volunteer management, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with strategic objectives 

• Coach and advise line managers on people issues withing their teams from probation to sickness absence to performance.

• Manage grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.

• Lead on delivery of annual training plan and annual appraisal process. 

• Oversee day-to-day office management to ensure a warm, inclusive, and safe working environment. 

• Ensure health and safety, compliance, and quality standards are consistently upheld across all HR and operational practices, fostering a safe, legally sound, and high-performing work environment. 

• Manage outsourced IT contracts and service level agreements, overseeing IT and communications providers - including VOIP systems - while coordinating support and resolving issues as needed. 

• Oversee office supplies, contracts, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations. 

• Responsible for governance and compliance matters, providing comprehensive board support, and managing company secretarial duties, including filings and updates with Companies House and the Charities Commission. 

• Oversee and manage operational expenditures to ensure alignment with the allocated budget, while identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.

The Role
We're seeking a passionate and strategic Programme Manager to join our entrepreneurial team. What You'll Own

• Building relationships with existing school partners and identifying and onboarding new school partners
• Designing and leading innovative volunteering programmes
• Monitoring and collating impact from the charity’s programmes and refining the charity’s impact data collection
• Managing programme/ event budgets

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery

• Promoting the charity’s work with new school and community partners and onboarding new schools
• Preparing proposals and designing and organising volunteering programmes with partner schools.
• Leading the programme delivery across a range of activities, including trips, clubs, giving back days and one-off events an projects
• Recording event data on the charity’s CRM
• Ensuring the safety and compliance of all TimeGivers’ activities including conducting risk assessments and  ensuring adequate staffing levels

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

• Compiling termly/ end of year school impact reports
• Collating impact from all school partners
• Liaising with external impact consultants as required, refining the charity’s metrics, impact data and collection

Finance and Fundraising

• Preparation and ownership of event/programme budgets
• Issuing donation requests and receipts to the charity’s partners.
• Recording and monitoring expenditure for all programme activities, liaising with the charity’s finance team when required
• Liaising with the Fundraising team and assisting with programme related grant applications

Ensuring sales targets are met and direct costs are kept within managed budgets.

Ensuring all financial reporting and management, cash handling, daily banking and security procedures are followed.

Ensuring donated goods are processed according to set standards and timeframes, and that pricing is in line with charity guidelines.

Key Criteria: 

Solid retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing.

Experience in managing a team. Managing volunteers would be an advantage.

Comprehensive understanding of retailing and merchandising display.

Experience of cash handling and financial management procedures (including completion of sales records).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first attitude and the ability to communicate with tact and discretion.

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, balancing competing demands.

Understanding of health and safety procedures in a retail environment.
