We are looking for an experienced, proactive and creative Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen and deepen our relationships in Lewisham. Help us to advance community stewardship, raise awareness about the benefits of street trees and increase tree canopy cover equitably. The Coordinator will manage our volunteer programmes, including recruitment, retention and bringing new ideas for engagement. Responsibilities include promoting and supporting our tree planting initiatives, as well as identifying new opportunities for community involvement. The role involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders to help achieve STfL’s mission of creating a greener and healthier urban environment.

Responsibilities:

• Volunteer management including recruiting, developing and retaining volunteers

• Be the ‘go to’ person to provide support for our Area Reps and Street Reps and develop a peer-to-peer network to share best practice across volunteer

• Raise awareness around trees, particularly in areas of low tree canopy cover and where we are currently underrepresented

• Work closely with the tree care team to support volunteering and training opportunities including watering, formative tree care, auditing

• Building networks and developing meaningful relationships with community groups and individuals, working at a hyperlocal, neighbourhood level 

• Spend time listening to groups and gathering feedback to understand their emotional responses and perceptions to trees 

• Work with communities and partner charities to map formal and informal networks within local neighborhoods

• Use creative approaches to evaluation, collecting and analysing impact data including volunteer surveys, 121 conversations and case studies to measure outcomes, particularly related to health and wellbeing 

• Reaching new audiences: building relationships with diverse communities  and work in partnership with community groups to co-design tree planting schemes in public realm

• Community stakeholder engagement - engaging and cultivating relationships including community groups, Parks groups, local charities, tenants and residents’ associations

• Organising in-person community engagement activities and training sessions for local residents including tree walks, citizen science sessions, workshops, networking opportunities and the sharing of resources 

• Integrate equality, diversity and inclusion principles into all aspects of our work 

• Maximising our communications impact: promote our work, raise awareness and increase our reach. Communicate regularly with our guardians and volunteers

• Create content to contribute to our social media, newsletter and website, for example: develop inspiring case studies about our work and beneficiaries. Help gather content at in-person events to support storytelling

Experience:

• Experience in the charity sector in community engagement or development

• Practical experience in successfully planning, coordinating, and delivering community-based events, workshops and activities

• Experience engaging with communities in London

• Experience in recruiting, training, supervising, and motivating groups of volunteers

• Experience in building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, such as resident groups, schools, local authorities and charities

• Experience using co-design principles to facilitate workshops with a diverse range of communities

• Knowledge of tree planting/environmental sector is desirable but not essential

The Role

Role Description

The purpose of the Executive Assistant role is to provide administrative, organisational and coordination support to the Executive Team, ensuring their time and attention are aligned with organisational priorities, goals, and objectives. The role requires collaboration across Finance, HR, Trustees, and external stakeholders, and an understanding of effective charity governance would be desirable.

This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation. Success in this role depends on a proactive mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure. Role Requirements

Required:

• Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role.

In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history and science of painting. We are now recruiting for a new role, a Research Centre Manager, to support in the creative planning and daily delivery of an exceptional experience at the Research Centre. The role-holder will provide vital clarity and consistency in the day-to-day running of this multifaceted space to ensure a smoothly functioning whole. This includes coordinating all aspects of the Research Centre operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the Research Centre facilities and administration. They will also think creatively about the Centre’s different spaces and, alongside Gallery colleagues, will help produce exciting research programming.

You will lead on the organisation of our annual conference; develop and maintain a calendar of events and training for members and non-member audiences; and support the team with all event related administration and logistics.  Events at the SLA include member meet ups (in person and online), events in our branch network across 23 regions, professional development and training, and our SLA Awards ceremonies.

Your work will be at the forefront of our member offer, helping to build links with membership, support members, build relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors, delivering high-quality training and impactful events offer across the year. An agile and flexible thinker, you will be creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, and have a keen eye for detail with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Using your project management experience, you will work with the CEO, SLA team colleagues and subject matter experts and facilitators to develop and deliver a high quality and competitive calendar of events and training.

The Senior Marketing Manager is an integral role to ensuring we are reaching our audiences effectively. You will develop and implement marketing strategies for Anthony Nolan’s marketing campaigns and audience approaches, and support our fundraising, register development and patient services colleagues in delivering their campaigns with your team.

You will be responsible for developing and utilising insight to grow awareness in these audiences, driving brand uplift to encourage future action and loyalty. You will lead your team of audience specialist marketing managers in driving successful marketing campaigns and activity, leading on key audience journeys, and providing marketing advice and practical support to other teams across the organisation. You will work closely with and support the Head of Marketing & Brand to deliver against key marketing and organisational objectives.

Role

In this role, you will provide pro-active specialist, trauma-informed emotional, practical and advocacy support for male, trans and non-binary survivors aged 13–24 who have experienced sexual violence and are currently engaged with, or actively considering engaging with, the Criminal Justice System (CJS). This includes young people who present with additional or intersecting needs (e.g. mental health, neurodiversity, disability, immigration, homelessness, substance use, care-experienced backgrounds, or LGBTQIA+ identity). The role empowers young people to understand their rights, navigate the CJS, and make informed decisions about reporting, ongoing involvement, and special measures.

Our ISVAs work with clients currently residing in any London borough, or if the abuse was committed in any London borough. Travel across London will be expected.

We are seeking an experienced Property and Facilities Manager to ensure the Cathedral and its associated properties are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently in line with our strategic objectives.

​​Guildford Cathedral is a sacred space and a community of people who engage with God and the wider world for the common good.  We do this by being a warm-hearted community open to God, to all, to growth and to transformation.  Over 100,000 visitors come to the Cathedral each year and our Cathedral ‘community’ comprises thousands who feel close the Cathedral because of historical connection, the purchase of a brick in the 1950s, their membership of the worshipping congregations or staff and volunteers.

Accountable to:The Chapter of Guildford Cathedral.

Hours and salary:Part time – 0.5 FTE/18 hours per week (flexibility is essential for this role). The salary for the post is £18,720 p/a.​

What You'll Do:​​

​In this key role, you will take ownership of all aspects of property management and facilities services, including long-term planning, compliance, and cost control. You will oversee maintenance programmes, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure high standards of health and safety across the estate.

This is a hands-on position that will involve, at times, physical activity, including accessing all areas of the Cathedral and other buildings, which may involve navigating numerous stairs and confined spaces.​

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role:​

• Maintenance Management: Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across Cathedral properties, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Apply and maintain the Cathedral’s Health & Safety Policy, promoting safe working practices and compliance with legislation.
• Facilities Oversight: Supervise all maintenance work relating to the interior and exterior condition, manage car parking facilities and monitor and review maintenance equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Financial and Procurement: Manage delegated budgets and contribute to annual budget planning. Oversee procurement processes including annual reviews of maintenance and service contracts to ensure best value.
• Governance & Reporting: Attend committee meetings, provide reports, and support grant applications as required.

• Proven experience in property management and practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational, financial, and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
