Your role

This is a very special role to provide holistic health and wellbeing of those who visit our open drop-in at the Vineyard Community Centre in Richmond. To us, they are our guests, not 'clients', 'patients' or users'.

This will include personal health screening, and holistic health support; also to provide health education, and liaison with outside agencies and local surgery. Many of our guests have multiple and complex needs involving, mental health, drug/alcohol dependency and homelessness.

You’ll report to our Community Nursing Manager and work with our Case Worker and Caseworkers from the Glass Door charity, and external hosted partner organisations like SPEAR and C.A.B.

Job Title:  Research and Impact Lead

Location: Hybrid with minimum 8 offices days per month in either London or Leeds office

As members of the Community Directorate we aim to reach out to and support people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers.  We enable the voice of people affected by Parkinson’s to be heard to improve services, inform our priorities and improve decision making locally.

Through community development we work in close collaboration with our respective Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s.

What you’ll do:

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required.
• Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting. 
• Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly  fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required.
• Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms.

What you’ll bring:

• Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities. 
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements. 
• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders. 
• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively.
• Ability to work flexibly and from home with some travel and the occasional overnight stay.

About the Role

As the Supporter Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement strategies to cultivate relationships with our valued Christian* supporters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead initiatives to increase prayer, giving, and church engagement, aligning with our broader objectives. You will manage our Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our supporter-centric initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
• Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.
• Oversee the management of our supporter database/CRM, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
• Utilise data analytics to design targeted campaigns and initiatives aimed at expanding our supporter network across various channels and touchpoints.
• Lead church engagement efforts, forging and nurturing connections with local and national churches and networks.
• Collaborate with our Activities and Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitators to enhance engagement within our care homes and housing schemes.
• Drive regular prayer communications, fostering a culture of prayer support through various platforms including our online Prayer Wall.
• Organise and lead supporter-facing events such as exhibitions and conferences to facilitate meaningful interactions with existing and prospective supporters.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.

About You

• Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.
• Proven track record in supporter engagement and database management.
• Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations.
• Familiarity with fundraising functions and project management.
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player with a reliable and detail-oriented work ethic.
