Fundraising Expert

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

• Collaborate with CERAD leadership and program teams to develop and refine comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's mission, values, and programmatic needs. This includes identifying fundraising goals, target audiences, and appropriate fundraising methods. • Assist in identifying potential donors (individuals, corporations, foundations), developing compelling communication materials, and supporting efforts to cultivate and steward donor relationships. This may involve research, drafting proposals, and assisting with donor correspondence. • Contribute to the development of high-quality grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding organizations. This may include conducting research, drafting sections of proposals, and ensuring alignment with donor guidelines. • Support the development and execution of online fundraising campaigns, including peer-to-peer fundraising, social media appeals, and online donation platforms. This may involve content creation, campaign monitoring, and analysis of results. • Assist in maintaining accurate donor records, tracking fundraising progress, and generating reports on fundraising activities and outcomes. • Proactively research potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors, and provide recommendations to CERAD leadership.

OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation was established as an educational charity in 2003. We are currently inviting applications for qualified honorary counsellors/psychotherapists and student counsellors/psychotherapy trainees to join our counselling team. Kingston Bereavement Support provide free one-to-one counselling on a short-term basis of ten sessions to adults who have been bereaved.

We are looking for candidates who have had at least one year’s clinical experience, and/or have extensive experience in a hospital, hospice or bereavement service, and have acquired a minimum of 50 clinical hours.

Training on bereavement counselling will be provided, and we offer a diverse ongoing CPD training programme. This covers things like working with complex clients, substance abuse and working with clients bereaved by suicide.

Kingston Bereavement Support is primarily a face-to-face service to best support the local community. Supervision for our counsellors is free of charge and provided fortnightly.

As a Volunteer Education Mentor, you'll join a dynamic team to deliver 8 mentoring sessions over 8 weeks aimed at building group rapport and covering essential topics like communication, goal setting and problem solving. These sessions will be with a consistent group of young people, ensuring you can build meaningful connections and see their progress over time. 

You'll be supported throughout this process by a King's Trust Youth Development Lead, who will provide guidance and resources to help you succeed.

The sessions will typically last 1 hour and will take place face-to-face in a secondary school environment. The frequency and timing of these sessions will be determined by the school, and you will choose a school that fits your availability, as your consistent attendance is crucial.
