The role of a Branch Trustee
Branch Trustees are volunteers who govern the charity, ensuring we are well-managed and making a real difference for animals. As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing our finances, helping us operate effectively and sustainably.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the link between our accountant and the trustee board
- Attending monthly trustee meetings (usually online, 90 minutes on the 2nd Wednesday evening)
- Preparing and reviewing relevant financial documents for meetings
- Supporting decision-making with financial insight
Who we’re looking for

As a hospital volunteer, you might:

Relevant Person’s Representative (RPR) Support Volunteers
People in care homes should have a voice to communicate their needs wishes and wants. Some people need support with this, but don’t have friends and family available to assist them. This means they’re entitled to have support from an RPR and volunteer, who are there to make sure they get the care they deserve. Your role as an RPR Support Volunteer is to collaborate with the VoiceAbility RPR to make sure a person’s views are listened to when decisions are made about their care.
As an RPR Support Volunteer you might:
- Visit people in their care home, to make sure they’re getting the right care and support
- Talk with them about their feelings, thoughts and wishes
- Raise concerns
- Keep detailed notes and records
- Make a real difference to someone’s life

What is PGIE?
In human healthcare, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) has become a powerful way to make sure research meets real patient needs. At Humanimal Trust, we’re translating this idea into veterinary medicine through PGIE – bringing together patients (in our case animals, via their guardians), the public, and professionals, to develop best practices.
By joining, you’ll be helping to guide research, so it benefits both humans AND animals.
As a volunteer member, you’ll:
- Help shape an ethical framework for One Medicine, focusing on good practice in veterinary clinical trials and collaboration between human and veterinary medicine.
- Join virtual group meetings (around 6 per year, with at least 60% attendance expected).
- Share your ideas and perspectives to support our mission and influence real change.
- Work with others to build consensus on key issues.
- Support projects and campaigns that spread the message of One Medicine.
- Occasionally represent the group at meetings and events.

About the Role
At Living Reasons, we’re reimagining fundraising and entertainment events to be more immersive, inclusive, and inspiring than ever before. From sensory-based experiences to creative challenges and accessible escape rooms, we’re breaking away from outdated models and designing events that are fun, innovative, and impactful.
The Events Coordinator will play a hands-on role in bringing these projects to life. Working closely with the Events & Entertainments Lead, you’ll help plan and deliver exciting events, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day and that participants and supporters have a memorable experience.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organisation, teamwork, and creativity — someone who likes to see an idea grow into a successful event.
Key Responsibilities

Work with the Events & Entertainments Lead to plan and deliver specific events and challenges.

Help ensure events are well-organised, including:

Preparing and checking event locations

Allocating roles and tasks to volunteers and staff involved

Coordinating logistics before and during events

Support with Health & Safety, insurance, and accessibility requirements (with guidance).

Work as part of a team of multiple Event Coordinators, collaborating and sharing tasks.

Take initiative in your area of responsibility, while knowing when to seek support or guidance.

Analyse and report on the success of events, sharing feedback with the wider team to improve future activities.

What will you be doing (role overview)?:
We’re seeking an experienced Volunteer Designer to create engaging, accessible designs that help us communicate effectively with our community and wider audiences.
