At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.

The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.

The Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer promotes volunteering and encourages new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. They provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.

They will also offer and make aware training opportunities and provision to support group and organisational compliance and safety.

This is currently a fixed term position until 31st March 2025 with extension possible dependent on further funding. 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Development Manager to join our field operations team. You will join us working 21 hours per week (including some evening and weekends) on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £24,817.80 per annum, plus car allowance and excellent benefits.

The role will be home-based and the successful candidate must be based in (or willing to relocate to) easy reach of the Northumberland, County Durham & Teesside areas and travel as necessary in the East Yorkshire area region.

Responsibilities of our Area Branch Development Manager:

As an Area Branch Development Manager you will be accountable for the development, growth and local governance of branches within a designated area. Providing a solution-driven approach with the aim of helping more cats through the effective engagement of local volunteers. You will develop and deliver an area plan that captures the importance of volunteer engagement, recruitment, support, enabling and succession planning to ultimately achieve branch growth and sustainability. You will work collaboratively with other CP regional teams where appropriate, identifying where there are opportunities to achieve more by working together.

What we’re looking for in our Area Branch Development Manager:

• Proven management experience including drafting business and operational plans
• Proven experience of leading and managing volunteers
• Experience of planning and implementing new processes and systems across a multi-site organisation
• Proficient IT skills, including all aspects of Microsoft Office relevant packages and knowledge of database management
• Personal and professional manner and credibility that generate trust and confidence in others
• Knowledge of the animal welfare sector
• Hold current full clean driving licence

The Role

 

The Community Fundraising role is an integral part of the Fundraising team and contributes directly to the long-term income generation strategy of the charity.

Duties will include:

• Delivering agreed income targets across Leeds. 
• Working effectively as part of a fundraising team to creatively inspire financial support for the Crypt.
• Increasing the charities profile within the local community and forming partnerships with schools, churches, supermarkets, youth groups and other organisations to contribute to supporting the homeless and vulnerable.

The Person

 

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You must be able to work flexibly to maximise opportunities, with the ability to recruit, motivate and manage volunteers and fundraising groups. As well as being confident presenting information, you will be professional and self-motivated. 

This role requires travel across the Leeds area; therefore you must have a full UK driving licence, and access to your own transport with business insurance.

This job does require you to be an experienced manager who has planned and developed sessions for people with learning disabilities and led and motivated a team to ensure positive outcomes for people using the service.

POSITION SUMMARY

Business Launchpad wishes to hire a highly organised, process-driven individual to oversee operations for its Tooting Works business centre.

As a key member of the Tooting Works team, the Operations Manager oversees the renting of our office units, tenant relations, and building maintenance and management, among other things. The post holder ensures the centre is run to a high standard, including excellent customer service, compliance with all current building and health and safety legislation, a high occupancy level and operation within budget.

The Operations Manager line manages four team members, making up the lettings team and the maintenance team, and works closely with other teams, including marketing, finance and the delivery team for the Business Launchpad charity.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Centre Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly, and that the lettings process is compliant and well-managed.
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise procedures and services.
• Manage building improvement and repair projects in collaboration with the maintenance team and the operations director.

Customer Service

Line Management

• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members as needed.

About the Community Outreach Worker Role

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the church and its buildings, with responsibility for: Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Assessment, Risk Management, Infrastructure and Accessibility issues.

Alongside this the Operations Manager will line manage the office team (two part-time roles) and support the work of the Property Committee. Cooperation with the Treasurer to co-ordinate financial operations and budgets will also be required. Attending the PCC (church council/ trustees) meetings (non-voting) when appropriate will give the Operations Manager a greater understanding of the mission and ministry of the church, and some administration tasks may be delegated to the Operations Manager at these meetings (eg Minutes or Reports).

This role demands the ability to take initiative, lead clearly and consider detail as well as the wider picture. Because of the nature of the organisation, leadership and practice must be informed and shaped by both Christian faith and ethics as well as legislation and policies.

Hounslow Allies

It is the statutory duty of all Local Authorities to offer independent visitors for children in care. In Hounslow the Independent Visitors Service is called Hounslow Allies. Funded by Hounslow Corporate Parenting Department, it has been running for over 15 years. Hounslow Allies recruits, trains, and support adults from the local community to become befrienders to children aged 8-16 who are in the care of Hounslow Council and have infrequent or no contact with siblings who are also looked after children. Independent visitors befriend, guide, advise and encourage children, engaging them in a range of activities to help build self-esteem and develop new skills and interests.

Role Purpose

To deliver all aspects of our Hounslow Allies project, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes and targets. The post holder will work closely with a range of departments with the Children’s Services department of Hounslow Council and volunteers to ensure that we are consistently offering new independent visitors to children in care and supporting those that are already matched.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and milestones.

- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to-day level.

- To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.

- To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.

- To join the National Independent Visitor Network and deliver Hounslow Allies in line with the national quality standards.

- To work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.

- To maintain accurate administration for all aspects of the project.

- To manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.

- To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessments management processes.

- To prepare progress updates and twice-yearly impact reports for both internal and external purposes.

- To develop relevant information to promote and raise the profile of Volunteering Matters locally.

- To promote and adhere to Volunteering Matters Equality and Diversity Policy and all other Volunteering Matters policies which relate to the work of Hounslow Allies.

- To comply with the applicable Health and Safety and Safeguarding regulations.

- To contribute to joint working and teamwork across Volunteering Matters.

Skills & Qualities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and developing workload.

- Evidence of good administrative and IT skills and the ability to maintain project monitoring administrative records.

- Ability to assess risk and carry out risk assessments.

- Confident networking and building/maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.

- Ability to work flexibly to effectively deliver the service.

- Willingness to learn how Children Service works.

- The ability to motivate, enthuse and empower yourself and others.

Location

This role is flexible and will be homebased or within the Hounslow County Council office. You will require good internet access to enable remote working, and a suitable home office/workspace. IT equipment and infrastructure will be supplied. There will be an expectation to travel to Hounslow in the role regularly.

Role Overview:

As the Operations Manager at WeSwim, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our regional WeSwim program, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of WeSwim's swimming sessions and events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve WeSwim's goals and objectives.

• Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pool facilities, community partners, and funders, to support the expansion and sustainability of WeSwim's programs.

• Financial Management: Contribute to budget planning and management, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track the impact and effectiveness of WeSwim's programs, and provide regular reports and updates to the board of trustees and other stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
