We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the Yorkshire region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities. 

In this role you will be: 

• Identifying, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide. 

• Proactively promoting suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide. 

• Equipping a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education. 

• Delivering training and raising awareness of products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers and other trainers. 

• Contributing to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the Strategic Plans. 

• Contributing to and promoting campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans. 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities 

• A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

• Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience 

• Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work 

• The ability to travel to different locations across the Yorkshire area to attend meetings, events and deliver training. 

Salary: £29,269 per annum (NALC SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (NALC SCP 23)

Programme Manager role

Programme Managers are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up to 60 schools. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of Programme Managers.

Programme Managers support our schools to deliver the programme, engaging approximately 35,000 young people in social action for local causes. The schools this Programme Manager will work with are based in Wales and the West of England, plus some schools in London and the South East.

• Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover, approximately 11 month contract. 37.5 hours per week (9am-5.30pm but with occasional early starts and late finishes dependent on events and school visits).
• Salary: £32,000 – 34,000

Key responsibilities

All Programme Managers have the following as ‘core’ responsibilities, to ensure the successful delivery and management of the First Give programme in schools:

Overview of the Role

As a Welfare Benefits Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals in making benefit claims and accessing the support they need. We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Central Bedfordshire.

Position: S11170 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

The role is office based across the Wakefield and Shipley sites. We are currently operating on a hybrid rota which includes some days working from home. There may be occasional travel required for training and development purposes.

As a Team Leader you will ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff, ensuring that the overall aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime is achieved.

You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service.

You will be responsible for:

• case management system audits & reports, providing information to the Operations Manager on required case statistics & compliance
• ensuring that the team are recording case information fully and accurately, as well as complying with contract reporting requirements and VS national standards
• line management of operational team members including responsibility for recruitment, performance management and monitoring, continued support and guidance and implementing formal employment procedures
• promoting effective communication channels including co-ordinate and facilitate regular team meetings, collating local issues, feedback and learning to share with other colleagues and the Operations Manager

You will need:

• Experience of delivering a service in a statutory, voluntary, community or private social care setting
• To report on and audit the case management system, demonstrating complete and accurate data and information recorded.
• To provide an effective and excellent service to referred victims in keeping with the contract requirement and service delivery agreements
• Effective and supportive people management to the operations team ensuring excellent performance management and monitoring, strong working relationships and a culture of support and guidance.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Services based in the Cornwall area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide Key Worker support following a stroke.

Position: S11121 Stroke Association Support Coordinator (two posts)

Location: Home-based, Cornwall however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Full and part-time (1 x 35 hours per week post and 1 x 32 hours per week post)

Salary: Circa £26,700 per annum for full time hours, pro rata for part time hours

Contract: This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.
