Finance Business Partner
Location: Birmingham – parking available
Hours: Full time
Pattern of work: Hybrid
Contract time: Temporary
Hourly pay: £20 – £23 an hour holiday pay
Are you a finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, driving efficiency, and making a real impact? This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join a purpose-driven organisation and play a pivotal role in delivering robust financial management, reporting, and decision support.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across departments and partner offices.
  • Support budget holders to understand and manage their financial performance.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Provide analysis and insights to senior leaders to support informed decision-making.
  • Build capacity in partner offices, ensuring strong compliance and financial governance.
  • Play a key role in preparing year-end statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
The skills you’ll bring to your role as Finance Business Partner;
  • A degree in Finance/Accountancy and are part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW).
  • Strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-financial a1qdsxv oudiences.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to design and manipulate reports.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Experience of donor/partner financial compliance (desirable).
  • The flexibility to travel internationally on a quarterly basis.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems such as Unit4 and Agresso.
