This is an exciting senior policy role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The development of a UK-wide child poverty strategy in government means this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to influence to influence policy makers to adopt our evidence-based policy solutions to child poverty.
We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will enjoy working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions, working closely with colleagues across the organisation as well as externally.
The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the development and implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, sharing analysis and expertise as part of the DWP’s review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of the green paper on the changes to disability benefits, and the white paper on employment.

Duties and key responsibilities
Security Strategy & Risk Management:
•Develop and implement security strategies and operational guidelines for all field operations in high-risk areas.
•Conduct regular security assessments and threat analyses of operational environments and adjust strategies as needed.
•Provide recommendations to senior management on mitigation measures for identified security risks.
•Design and update security plans, contingency plans, and emergency evacuation protocols.
Staff Safety:
•Establish a strong safety culture for all staff, including expatriates/international volunteers and national personnel.

Security Coordination:

Training and Capacity Building:
•Develop and implement security training programs for MAP staff, volunteers and partners, ensuring all are equipped with the necessary knowledge to operate safely in high-risk areas.

•Monitor staff adherence to security procedures and provide guidance when needed.
Compliance and Reporting:

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in risk, disaster or security or emergency management or a related field
•Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a humanitarian, development, or conflict-related environment.
•Proven experience in managing complex security operations in high-risk settings.
•Experience in designing and delivering security training programs for diverse staff groups.
•Experience with emergency response, crisis management, and evacuation procedures.

Spring Community Hub exists to ensure that no one in our Southwark community goes hungry. But we don’t just provide food:
We work alongside people to help them escape poverty, build confidence, and find community.
Our principal activity is the prevention of food poverty and food insecurity by offering culturally appropriate food, fresh fruits, and vegetables as well as dietary and religiously appropriate food which we have continued to run at our five-week sessions to local people for as long as they address the underlying cause.
We also provide a range of wraparound support, including advice services, particularly around employment and immigration through our Back2Work Team, Holiday Clubs for Children, Youth Groups, a Clothing Bank and our Spring Up Women’s group.

The Service Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of our charity by providing comprehensive assistance and advocacy services to individuals and families in need. This position will involve engaging with diverse communities and ensuring that all services are delivered with cultural sensitivity.
The Service Officer will work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to deliver Food Bank services, Activity Camps, and Afterschool club, advice and advocacy support, clothing assistance, cooking programs, and Social Supermarket Operations, as well as support initiatives for the elderly, individuals experiencing poverty and isolation, and families with children.

About the role
We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated team player to join our HR department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this postholder will work closely with the two HR People Partners. The post holder will lead and manage all formal employee relations cases whether it be disciplinaries, grievances or complaints. They will also Project manage and deliver on HR projects including the development of new initiatives and HR policy updates.
Responsibilities
- To lead and manage employee relations activity across the charity by working closely with the key stakeholders.
- To provide guidance and advise senior managers in line with MSSC policies, employment legislation and ACAS Code of Practice regarding complex HR situations.
- To lead and take notes at all MSSC disciplinaries, grievances and formal complaints to support the process. These could include conduct, performance management/capability, absence management. grievances, bullying and harassment, discrimination, whistleblowing etc.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of cases including file notes, correspondence, accurate meeting minutes etc, ensuring their employee file is kept up to date and organised.
- To provide support to the HR People Partners on broader ER issues, if necessary, such as absence management/OH referrals, performance management/PIPs.
- To support and assist the Director of HR and the team on a range of HR projects and initiatives.
- To develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and guidance documents, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
- Manage the appraisal process including launch communications, monitoring completions and reviewing forms for any ER issues and logging training needs.
- Lead the annual staff survey launch and collation and analysis of data.
- To cover for the Director of HR and other team members as required.

Purpose of role

Job description
IAG Delivery and line management
· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets
· To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training

The Internal Auditor role will undertake internal audit assignments, develop country-specific internal audit processes or thematic internal audits and work with our London and global teams to support external audit processes in countries of operation, oversee the global audit register, and with teams across the organisation advance effective financial management performance across the organisation
Job purpose:
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, the post holder will undertake internal audit assignments and compliance reviews aimed at improving Saferworld’s internal systems and processes. The post-holder will also support the development of financial controls and build the capacity of finance and operational teams to implement them effectively.
The role requires a high level of initiative; proven skills and experience in project management; experience working collaboratively with others to achieve our vision; and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The post-holder will have a successful track record in designing and leading internal audit processes and strengthening control systems, preferable at a complex organisation with multiple country offices/business units. Additional experience working with offices/partners in/on conflict affected contexts is highly desirable.
Roles and responsibilities:
Plan and carry out internal audits
- Draw up a yearly Internal Audit Plan based on key risks and an assessment of audit needs and agree it with the CEO in consultation with the Director of Finance and Operations and Director of Policy and Programmes.
- Carry out internal audit assignments across departments, projects, and programmes to assess compliance with financial policies, donor agreements, and statutory regulations, including negotiating terms of reference with relevant system/area owners, preparing reports, presenting the findings to the Senior Leadership, and following up on recommendations.
- Review financial transactions and accounting records, including data from SUN, to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Support necessary pre-audit preparation work related to external audits (both statutory and project audit) and assist the teams in ensuring smooth audit.
- Maintain the organisation’s register of grant and project audits, ensuring that audit findings recommendations are clearly documented and shared.
- Monitor the implementation of these recommendations and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely and effective solution.
- Carry out special investigations, as required by the Saferworld CEO or Senior Operational Team (SOT).
Strengthening organisational systems and risk controls
- Produce an annual review of the overall effectiveness of Saferworld’s systems of internal control and make recommendations and arrangements for identification and management of risks and produce an annual plan to address these areas.
- Report quarterly to the Senior Operational Team (SOT) on the annual review and plan.
- Attend the governance/Board of Trustees Finance and Audit Committee four times a year and produce a report for the meetings, including feeding back on learnings from internal audits carried out.

Role Overview
The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organisation, covering recruitment, onboarding, training, and support for performance management and employee relations. It includes managing volunteer processes and working closely with both internal managers and external HR and payroll providers. Key Responsibilities
