The Head of Collections will be responsible for delivering the strategic and operational leadership of the Library, Archives and Museum Collections to deliver high quality services together with research resources to support the Society’s strategic objectives to pursue conservation, research, learning and outreach and dissemination of knowledge of the material past. The primary users of the Library and Archives are the Fellowship of the Society, and communicating effectively with the Fellowship is an important part of this role.
The Society of Antiquaries is seeking an experienced and motivated heritage professional to lead our world-class Library, Archive and Museum collections. This is an exciting time to be joining the Society of Antiquaries. In the autumn of 2024, the Society purchased its premises at Burlington House on a long lease, after years of uncertainty and negotiation. Now, together with the four neighbouring learned Societies, we are joint landlords of both the buildings and the courtyard at Burlington House. 2025 sees the beginning of a major development project Past Matters: the Future at Burlington House and the role of our Collections will be at the heart of this.
The Society welcomes hybrid and flexible working. For this full-time role, we ask that the post-holder usually works on site for three days per week, including Wednesdays. Daily core hours have a degree of flexibility, to be discussed with the General Secretary.

Fauna & Flora strives to ensure that our conservation goals are achieved equitably, respect human rights and contribute to human well-being. An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specialist to join the People & Nature programme to support the development and implementation of equitable, rights-based and good governance approaches with a particular focus on Fauna & Flora’s Eurasia regional programme. Work is shared across the team according to specific technical expertise and workloads, so support to other regional programmes and teams will be required at certain times.
The primary focus of the role is to support, develop the capacity of, and exchange learning with in-country project staff, partners and other local actors to co-create, implement and learn from projects which deliver equitable and well governed outcomes that improve both human well-being and ecological systems.
You will be a team player with excellent technical skills and relevant international experience. Sound technical knowledge and experience of applying rights-based approaches in conservation contexts is a pre-requisite. You will ideally have experience of applying a range of social science research methods in a conservation context, with proven experience in capacity development, project design, and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise across teams and cultures. You will enjoy applying your critical thinking to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language. In addition to fluency in written and spoken English, skills in relevant languages are also desirable.
You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills. The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines will be a key attribute.
You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification or experience in international conservation, social sciences, natural resource management or similar field. You will have knowledge of international human rights standards as they apply to conservation, and ideally knowledge and experience of social safeguards.
You should be passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills. You will have experience of working in a cross-cultural environment and experience in applying your skills to a conservation, development or natural resource management context in less developed countries.
Fauna & Flora is part of Cambridge Conservation Initiative in the David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. You will be joining a diverse team with global responsibilities at an exciting time as we seek to improve our ability to design, implement, monitor, evaluate and learn from initiatives that have positive impacts on biodiversity while at the same time respecting the rights of Indigenous peoples and local communities and contributing to human well-being and social equity.
This position will be based in Cambridge with international travel as required to meet project needs.

Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Technical Specialist, Enterprise & Livelihoods. This strategic role is key to shaping and advancing enterprise development and fostering the creation of socio-bioeconomies, that sustain productive, conserved and diverse landscapes whilst creating economic and social value.
Working holistically at the interface between global nature finance and local economies, you will develop practical solutions that directly benefit people, nature and climate.
You will both build on past initiatives and champion new approaches for enterprise development as a means for enabling and financing conservation, enhancing sustainable livelihoods and co-creating benefits for local partners, including indigenous peoples, communities and other stakeholders across our global programme.
You will have advanced expertise in business development and entrepreneurship, with experience in incubating and scaling enterprises, facilitating international market access, and forging impactful private-sector partnerships.
Excelling at engaging with diverse teams, stakeholders, and cultures—from rural entrepreneurs to corporate investors— you will be confident in explaining complex business concepts in clear and accessible ways.
You will be an inspiring team leader, motivating the achievement of goals, as well as facilitating workshops, providing training, and coaching others to success. You will be a strategic and systems thinker, with excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You will have significant experience applying business skills in conservation, development, or natural resource management in developing countries.

The Diocese of Lichfield is seeking to appoint a part-time List B Casework Officer, to assist in the work of the Lichfield Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC). This is an established post (previously called Assistant DAC Secretary), which will complement our existing provision and outcomes in relation to church buildings.
The role includes responsibility for all List B casework ('minor' statutory applications for making changes to churches), and assisting with responding to general and pre-application enquiries. Your responsibilities will include the administration of our corporate membership scheme, ensuring the accurate recording of income and information, and maintaining our internal database to the highest standards.
