The Head of Finance will lead on budgeting, financial management and reporting and work closely with the Chief Executive to provide effective financial direction to the Treasurer and the Board of Trustees.
You will provide financial leadership overseeing all aspects of the organisation’s finances and in ensuring that it complies with relevant legislation and principles. You will be responsible for efficient policies, procedures, systems and practices to support the smooth running of the organisation and will be proactive in developing new systems and processes to meet the needs of the British Deaf Association (BDA) as it grows. As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the financial planning cycles, governance, and management reporting process as well as managing relationships with external stakeholders/advisers ensuring value for money, contractual compliance, evaluation and quality assurance processes.
With prior experience of working with charities’ accounts as well as experience of Sage accounting system used at the BDA, you will manage the Finance team and provide excellent business service and support to circa 28 staff across the UK.
As a bilingual organisation with a working language of British Sign Language (BSL) and English, we will provide BSL training for the successful candidate.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.
·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services.
·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.
·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.
·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.
·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities.
·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements.
·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.
·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.
·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;
·Maintain clients’ records ensuring accordance with IKWRO’s policies particularly as they relate to confidentiality and data protection.
·Making appropriate referrals and signposting to other services if needed;
·Attending clinical individual supervision, managerial supervision and training courses;
·Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;
·Liaising with IKWRO’s staff.
·Maintaining and updating accurate digital records of all cases and up to date monitoring and evaluation databases as well as writing reports.
·Experienced in delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions from different therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapy.

Purpose of Job
The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:
• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors
• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.
• Growing income, including regular giving, donations, appeals, legacy giving, community groups and other fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Eve Appeal, working together with the Department of Health and Social Care, is delivering a groundbreaking programme on gynaecological health to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in London and beyond.

About the role
This is your opportunity to play a part in the day to day running of our CRM team and to really make your mark here at Shelter. You’ll be working closely with the Head of CRM and the CRM Manager, alongside another CRM Executive and will be responsible for delivering our email communications for Shelter, building the data selections and workflows from scratch and utilizing dynamic content, as well as fulfilling data briefs for other channels.
You will be involved in exciting projects that deepen our engagement with our supporter base, and encourage them to take repeat actions. We’ll rely on you to ensure that our communications follow best practice as well as making the most of our personalization capabilities with the aim of increasing our supporter engagement.
You’ll also be the go-to person for expert understanding of how campaigns and supporter journeys should be built within Adobe Campaign as well as understand the data held to ensure it is being leveraged appropriately. Along the way, you’ll get to collaborate with colleagues in Fundraising, Campaigns, Retail, Services, Data Management and Insight, IT and Research as you do all you can to ensure we deliver the very best supporter communications.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need a firm grasp of the CRM tech landscape, including list management, segmentation and dynamic content, with experience of Adobe Campaign, Adobe Classic or a similar platform being essential. We’re looking for substantial experience in a CRM role with significant output and a proven track record of building and deploying complex automated journeys.
You’ll have good understanding of email marketing best practices, and the ability to edit email templates in HTML is desirable. Additionally, experience using Litmus (or something similar), as well as data selection experience, would be desirable.
What is for certain though is that you’re well-organised, have strong attention to detail, and can manage your time effectively as well as being used to building dynamic content within a template and building segments and audiences.
You’ll be playing a big part not only in our team but within the wider organisation as we look to use CRM more and more.

This role will support us to deliver an excellent service to our members and those engaged with our CPD pathways, publications and research activity.
Requirements
We are looking to recruit a Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement on a part-time contract. This is an exciting new role that will play a key part in our continued growth and will make a real impact on the teaching profession; we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and the work we do.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive, Associate Director: Partnerships and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement will take a lead on activity related to attracting and retaining our individual teacher members, including developing, rolling out and evaluating recruitment and retention programmes, initiatives and campaigns for current and prospective members. The successful candidate will be confident using data to inform decision-making and monitor progress towards membership growth targets and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Main area of work

- Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, planning recruitment campaigns and strategising content and resources for membership initiatives
- With the Associate Director: Partnerships, ensuring join-up between group membership sales and individual member sales
- Promoting and representing the Chartered College to potential members at events
- Working with the Membership Manager to ensure a seamless experience for members from their first interaction with us
- Recording, presenting, formatting and analysing data in a variety of ways to report to colleagues and stakeholders, including against KPIs.
- Performing other activities as and when required to support the wider team to achieve the charity’s goals.
Alongside your main areas of work, you will also participate in meetings and be encouraged to participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.
You don’t need to have expertise in absolutely all areas, but we’re looking for someone who is motivated by our vision and truly passionate about membership growth and supporting teachers. Systems you would be using include Salesforce, DotDigital, Google Workspace, Zoom, Submittable and Slack.
Experience and skills:
- Experience in a sales or business development role (essential), with experience of membership or subscription sales highly desirable
- Experience working in the education sector (highly desirable)
- Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating sales initiatives and campaigns (essential)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (essential)

The Finance and Resources Team is responsible for responsible for HI’s finances, general services and HR in the UK. It comprises the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, a Finance Officer and an Accounting Officer.
The main purpose of this post is:
- To ensure smooth and efficient running of the HI UK office, including office services, IT, internal communications and health & safety

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
- Maintain the office facilities and environment to agreed service levels
- Act as primary point of contact with the landlord and all suppliers for the office space, proactively dealing with arising issues
- Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment and IT equipment for all staff and volunteers, and arrange their repair or replacement, in conjunction with the Finance Officer and the Accounting Officer, as need arises
- Act as principal contact person for HI UK’s IT infrastructure and support provider, helping colleagues to access IT support when required and developing and implementing the organisation’s IT strategy
- Manage budget lines associated with running of the office and participate in procurement, primarily of office and IT supplies, liaising with external suppliers.
- Act as designated Health & Safety Officer for the office, including ensuring Health & Safety policies are up to date and being adhered to
- Continually review systems in place within the office, make improvements where required, and communicate these to relevant people
Human Resources
- Provide administrative support and advice for the recruitment of staff, consultants and volunteers, including advertising, interviews, issue of contracts and inductions, liaising with the federation manager and recruitment teams when relevant
- Assist with other HR tasks, including managing staff and volunteer files, managing the HR information system, administrative support for payroll and contributing to updates of the staff handbook
- Support teams on volunteer recruitment, contracts, induction, support and training
- Maintain an up-to-date welcome kit for new starters and provide and coordinate induction training sessions
· Make sure that HR policies and internal processes are updated and well known by all the staff
