Full Fact – Trust Fundraising Manager
Location: Remote first with an office available in Central London and regular team meetings in the office.

Full Fact, the independent fact checking charity, is seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to grow their impact and safeguard their independence by overseeing and developing their trust fundraising programme.
Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.
This role will manage, develop and grow the charity’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, as well as leading and delivering Full Fact’s trust fundraising strategy, identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at 5/6-figure level. The post-holder will work closely with the senior leadership and trustees to maximise network opportunities and will support the organisation in diversifying its donor base, gaining long term/multi-year support and ensuring balance/political neutrality within the funding portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of securing funds from charitable trusts and foundations, grant making organisations and family foundations at a 5-figure + level. You will be a relationships-first fundraiser, keen to develop relationships at a strategic level with senior representatives from grant-making organisations and will have expertise/knowledge of maximising opportunities via senior stakeholders. You will also be a great writer with experience of transforming detailed, technical information into engaging and compelling narratives. Finally, you will have an organised, proactive and adaptable approach to work, as well as an understanding of public debate in the UK and sensitivity to the political context the organisation works in.

What the job involves
This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant Brand and Media (Attention) team within our wider Communications directorate. As the Media and Communications Manager, you’ll be the team’s lead on Health Services, Equity and Improvement (including policy and campaigns) and Research communications, delivering impactful media moments which inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
You’ll raise the profile of the cause and the brand, co-managing the activity of the charity’s media relations function and protecting the organisation’s principles and reputation. You’ll also be acting as line manager to the Senior Media and Communications Officer.

About the opportunity
Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

Your role will be to further develop and deliver a range of events and initiatives that the Harlequins Foundation offers to its supporters to help us to raise the funds we need to deliver our programmes. As the charitable arm of the Club, we deliver a variety of programmes aimed at achieving improved outcomes for education and employability, wellbeing and inclusion. The role will play a key part in delivering high-profile fundraising events while building the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and supporter types, being instrumental in delivering campaigns and events to engage new audiences with the Foundation’s purpose.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.
Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a Birmingham/West Midlands Programme Manager from September 2024 who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around the Birmingham and West Midlands area. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers
• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms
• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others
• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up
• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom
• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles
• Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed
• Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise

The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. About the role
As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.
The focus of the role will include extending Save the Children's relationships with development banks plus new initiatives such as impact investment and results-based project funding. You will support the Partnership Managers on a varied portfolio of cross-Save the Children partnerships as well as supporting with the management of cross Save the Children partnership management.
You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our engagement with key partners, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnerships. This includes:
- Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.
- Management of information and status of relationships/financing to keep our leadership (CEO, Executive Directors) up-to-date with our partnerships.

- Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
- Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.
- Engaging with account members, where necessary, and SCI in generating learning and best practices.
- Ensuring strong knowledge management systems are in place.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and embed our partnership and management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. Regular giving at Alzheimer’s Society is growing year on year with an ambitious target of £8.5M for 2024/25. In this role you’ll get the opportunity to lead a high performing team of two, working across all regular giving campaigns including face to face fundraising, telemarketing, payroll giving, digital and SMS. You’ll provide strategic direction to the team and manage the significant expenditure budget, assessing and optimising spend to give the best value to Alzheimer’s Society and make the best investment to grow regular giving.
