Role summary 

Working as part of a team in the exciting, challenging and diverse boroughs of the City of London and Hackney, the Mental Health Coach will facilitate groups and manage a caseload of complex clients from the start to the end of their journey in the Wellbeing Network. Working as part of a cross network blended team, you will spend part of your week as part of a blended assessment team, with the majority within a network partner organisation supporting network clients. Working with service users to identify the most appropriate care and interventions for their circumstances and together create a care plan. You will develop a relationship with the client to support discussions concerning what recovery means for each individual, identifying personal goals and measures of progress and model for the client how to manage new challenges and celebrate successes.  Working on the front line of mental health and social care, you will provide a safe environment for clients to explore their issues and demonstrate the value and outcomes of these services to bring about meaningful psycho-social change.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Grantmaking Due Diligence & Onboarding

• Coordinate the collection, review, and secure storage of due diligence documentation from prospective grantees.

• Assist with risk screening checks and internal reviews in alignment with Purposeful’s grantmaking policies.

• Prepare grantee onboarding documentation, including grant agreements and orientation materials.

• Track submission of required onboarding documents (e.g., bank forms, MoUs, safeguarding policies).

• Monitor and keep track of the grants due for payment.

• Respond to grantee and applicant inquiries and proactively update them on the status of their grant awards.

2. Grant Compliance & Documentation

• Monitor compliance status of all active grants, flagging outstanding requirements and follow-up needs.

• Ensure that compliance-related deadlines (e.g. reporting dates, grant conditions) are met and documented.

• Maintain clean, well-organised, and accessible digital grant files, using existing tools or systems (e.g., Google Drive, Netsuite, Salesforce, etc.) to ease retrieval and generation of reports.

• Support internal checks to ensure that funds are disbursed in line with compliance protocols and funding agreements.

3. Finance Coordination

• Liaise with the finance team to prepare and verify payment documents, banking instructions, and payment schedules.

• Support alignment between grant budgets and payment disbursements.

• Track the movement of funds across grants, ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for each transaction.

4. Donor & Internal Reporting

• Assist in preparing compliance-related sections of donor reports and internal grantmaking summaries.

• Track reporting obligations by donor or partner, and ensure all documentation is collected and filed on time, including any relevant country-specific compliance requirements.

5. Audit & Policy Support

• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including sampling, document summaries, and data extractions.

• Assist in developing and maintaining internal tools (templates, checklists, trackers) related to grant compliance.

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in Purposeful’s compliance systems, bringing in lessons learned and audit feedback, and emerging regulatory or legal considerations relevant to our work.

The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past two years, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. With new leadership installed at both lay and staff levels and a consultation process underway for the development of a five and fifteen-year strategy the Museum is looking for a new member of the team to assist in running the day-to-day administration of the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main role of the Executive Assistant will be to administrate the activities of the Museum. Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Customer Service Liaison/Administrator. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

About the role 

The Campaign & Programme Lead: Climate & Health supports health workers to campaign for just and proportionate action on climate change, working closely with our Movement Organiser and other colleagues. Currently our work focuses on the intersection of climate and housing, working to end the public health crisis of fuel poverty and poor-quality homes. In particular this role is responsible for national advocacy and campaigning on fuel poverty and housing, supporting members to organise in their local communities, and being a key part in the Homes for Health campaign team.

The role involves holding Medact’s key knowledge base on climate and health issues. You will build relationships across the health community and wider climate movement, from establishment institutions to frontline workers and grassroots groups. 

About you

This is a skilled role but you don’t need to have had a job in an NGO before or be a professional campaigner to be right for it. You might have worked with your local community to campaign on a social justice or health issue that you care about. Or, you might be a health worker who has seen the impact of these issues on your patients and wants to challenge the systems that drive inequity and marginalisation. 

You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, academics, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment campaigning and an eye for a good media story.

About the role

Our Lancashire Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Lancashire Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.

You will be responsible for offering breastfeeding support for parents within East Lancashire Hospital Trust and the community.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing Infant feeding support to families on the wards at the hospitals, in service user homes and community settings within Lancashire.
• Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
• To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
• To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Lancashire area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
• Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail. It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 17.5 hours per week which will be worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 09:00 – 15:00. This will be split across the hospital, in service user homes and at community settings across Lancashire, however there is also some home-based working required.

The role of Young Person's Practitioner (Risk and Resilience) is an excellent opportunity to make a direct and valued difference to the lives of children and young people (C&YP), who are at significant risk of experiencing child exploitation, substance misuse, or going missing from home.

Providing tailored support and guidance to children, young people, and families, this role will actively contribute to achieving high standards of care, quality, and positive outcomes - supporting service users to fulfil their potential, through consistent and meaningful participation.

Main Duties:

• Providing tailored one-to-one support, guidance, and interventions.
• Assessing the needs of children and young people, determining appropriate support plans and pathways, and informing risk reduction plans - supporting access to additional or specialist services where necessary.
• Ensuring that referrals, support, care, and risk management are of a high quality, with ease of transition.
• Developing sustainable joint service work with referring agencies, local authorities, children’s social care, and children and families services (CFS).

Our Board Development programme supports NHS board members and governance professionals with practical, high-impact training tailored to the unique challenges of the sector. We pride ourselves on excellent feedback, with 98% of past attendees rating our training good or excellent.

What we offer and what we ask of you

As an associate, you will be involved in the delivery of aspects of the Board Development programme including our NHS quality for NEDs module. You will work with, and collaborate with, a group of talented fellow associates with a varied range of skills and capabilities, as well as board experience, NHS experience, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills. Your responsibilities will include delivering dynamic training sessions using pre-prepared materials; delivery could be online or face to face. On occasion you will also be required to utilise your skills and experience to support the development and maintenance of new and existing training session materials. This role requires a passionate individual with a strong background in clinical governance and a proven track record of facilitating engaging and impactful training sessions.

We will support you by offering you commissioned pieces of work on a daily rate, either to help scope and deliver bespoke board development work with NHS trusts and other system partners, or to help us deliver our open courses, where we will be proactive in confirming the agenda and briefing you on content. We ask all of our associates to sign an associate contract which means we can approach you with offers of work over the course of the year. We will ensure you have sufficient information about the trusts, and other clients, that you will be working with. When appropriate, we will provide you with training opportunities to support your facilitation of training sessions.

Description of the associate role

We are looking for clinical governance specialists to join our associate pool. We are looking for individuals with a mixture of experience including:

• Significant experience of working at board level
• Experience of acting as a Medical or Nursing director or deputy level clinician with lead experience of NHS clinical governance
• Ability to translate theory into practical insights
• Proactive approach to building and maintaining effective client relationships, including excellent levels of communication
• Strong organisational skills
• Adaptability and flexibility to deliver training in various formats
• Ability to communicate complex clinical governance concepts to a non-technical audience

Desirable experience and skills include:

• Current or previous NHS board member
• Proficiency in using virtual training platforms and tools
• Significant facilitation experience
• Interest in sharing knowledge, training and development
• Ability to use technology adeptly to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery
• Ability to travel across the UK for in-person training sessions as required.

Purpose of the post

The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project.  We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.

This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including:  establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks. 

Main responsibilities

Planning & strategy delivery

· Ensuring the study delivers the values and approaches set out in the AHS engagement and involvement strategy

· Planning, delivering and reporting on an ongoing, regular and important programme of engagement events and activities

· Reviewing/revising/adding to existing policies, processes and procedures to support effective working together with people and communities (such as reimbursement, compensation, making reasonable adjustments)

· Developing and implementing appropriate evaluation, monitoring and reporting of Community Engagement & Involvement

· Keeping up to date with good practice & sector advances and sharing these with the AHS team.

Practical engagement and involvement

· Developing methods to enhance engagement and involvement, and helping to build positive relationships with young people and stakeholder groups, including charities, third sector & advocacy groups

· Overseeing day-to-day planning & delivery of a high-quality engagement and involvement programme.  To include, for example:

o Managing and supporting Youth Advisors

o Recruiting and running a standing Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG)

o Organising & delivering other ad hoc engagement activities as necessary

· Securing external partners where necessary, and managing contracts and delivery of their work across the UK

· Ensuring that any external parties (e.g. organisations, freelancers, consultants) supporting AHS’s involvement and engagement work have clear roles, responsibilities & goals

· Working with the Head of Communications to develop and manage provision of relevant information to members of the public, teachers, young people & researchers

· Keep clear records of involvement and engagement activities, ensuring results are used to inform the study and the wider research community.

Team support

• Checking for and capitalising on possible opportunities for engagement and involvement to be embedded in the work of the wider team
• Ensuring appropriate induction, training, mentoring and support is organised for the research team and communities involved
• Sharing examples of emerging good practice and CEI (Community Engagement & Involvement) impact across the research team.

Wider

• Contributing to shared learning and future sustainability as part of wider CEI communities of practice
• Acting as a key point of contact for community members and partners involved in the research
• Representing and presenting the AHS study’s engagement and involvement work to the wider research community at a senior level, including in national engagement & involvement networks as necessary.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field

· Experience developing and delivering engagement and involvement activities with young people and other relevant interest-holders (such as parents, families, teachers and schools)

· A proven track record or professional background in working with young people – such as in youth work, counselling, mentoring, education, or a related setting

· Understanding and experience of good practice in youth engagement and involvement,  including the principles and implementation of safeguarding, data protection, and inclusive practice

· Awareness of culturally sensitive approaches and methods to be inclusive of all relevant perspectives, including  marginalised and vulnerable groups

· Experience of successful project management and ability to deliver, working independently.

· Ability to design and deliver workshops, focus groups or meetings that encourage open dialogue and collaboration

· Ability to manage a budget and report on financial activity accurately

· Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with experience of working alongside and influencing senior level professionals

· Research literacy, with a clear understanding of large UK-wide research initiatives and the various competing demands and pressures the study will face

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders and to summarise and report key information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing

· Demonstrated commitment to youth participation and the meaningful inclusion of young people’s perspectives.

· Confident using online tools (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom), and collaborative platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft 365)

Desirable criteria

· Relevant qualification in engagement and involvement

· Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience

· Understanding of key concepts and challenges in young people’s health and wellbeing and the transition to adulthood

· Familiarity with health research and data governance frameworks

· Understanding and knowledge of key potential partners across the UK for delivering youth engagement in the sector.

· Experience using digital engagement and facilitation tools for online workshops (e.g. Miro, Mural, Mentimeter, Canva, PowerPoint)

Dimensions

· This has been designed as a full-time role, although part-time work could be considered for the right candidate.

· Flexible working across several geographical locations in the UK.  Travel may be required to AHS locations and partner organisations.

· AHS is a national organisation, and our activities take place across the UK.

We are now seeking to recruit a Membership Coordinator on a contract basis to support at a busy time of growth. The role holder will work within the Membership Team, responsible for the philanthropic income from Friends and Patrons, and undertake the efficient administration of the membership programme whilst providing first-class customer service to keep our Friends and Patrons engaged and valued.

This role will suit a candidate who has strong experience in a customer-facing environment (ideally in a membership organisation and/or box office) and is able to use diplomacy in dealing with a variety of different customer groups.
