As an experienced and motivated Housing & Partnership Manager, you will lead the delivery of a responsive, high-quality tenancy management service across our properties. This role is perfect for someone with a strong housing background who is passionate about supporting people to live independently and confident in building positive, collaborative relationships with landlords, local authorities, NHS teams, and internal colleagues.

About the Team

You will join our Business Development team, supporting income growth and ensuring contract compliance to enable the continued scale of our charitable work. You will be line managed by the CEO and work closely with colleagues across Business Development, Family Support and Training teams.

Key Responsibilities

This role holds responsibility for:

1. Business Offer Development for HENRY

• With colleagues in Business Development, ensure HENRY has a clear, costed and attractive offer for localities wanting to deliver HENRY in partnership.
• Lead an annual review of costs and prices of our training, programmes and licensing to remain cost-effective, competitive and value for money.
• As part of Business Development team, work with team members and Finance to ensure timely and clear understanding of income through license fees, training commissions and resource sales.
• Remain abreast of the needs of commissioners to ensure HENRY remains agile and relevant in its offer in supporting babies, children and families lead healthy, happy lives.

2. Contract Development, Management and Compliance

• Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts and licenses, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal in line with legal, regulatory and organisational policies.
• Take responsibility for establishing contracts when a new local area is onboarded, working closely with the other Business Development Manager and CEO.
• Ensure data sharing agreements are in place, reviewed and adhered to, working closely with the data protection leads.
• Manage ongoing relationships, additional services (such as training commissions) and renewal discussions with existing HENRY areas, monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and taking appropriate action where commitments are not being met.
• Collaborate with local Service Managers and National Family Support Lead in direct delivery areas to manage commissioner relationships and ensure service commitments are met and proactively identifying opportunities for contract extensions or expanded services.
• Review and analyse contracts to identify risks, opportunities and improvements.
• Work with colleagues in Family Support and Data and Evaluation Team to ensure reporting is timely, accurate and aligned with contractual obligations.

3. Organisational Support and Alignment

• Maintain organised and accessible records of all contracts, amendments and key dates.
• Provide guidance, advice and training to staff on contract-related issues, interpretation and compliance, promoting consistent and confident practice across HENRY.
• Work closely with Finance, Training and Development teams to ensure contracts align with budgetary and service delivery requirements.

Join SmellTaste and lead the development of the charity’s involvement in research, shaping how lived experience of those affected by smell and taste impairment is integrated in research projects. As Research Development and Engagement Manager, you will lead engagement with researchers, our patient community, and external partners to develop and support new research collaborations. Vale House is a not-for-profit Dementia Care Home specialising in the highly skilled care required for people who have complex needs arising from dementia. Its specialist care is much sought after and is provided in a light bright building which was purpose built in 2012 just outside Oxford, between Littlemore and Sandford-on-Thames. The forty individual en-suite rooms, which are all outward looking, are built around a figure of eight with internal courtyard gardens where residents can walk safely and securely. Founded in 1990 Vale House has one clear purpose: to care for people with dementia however severe or complicated, and to support their families. The quality of the work of Vale House rests on the skill and commitment of the staff who are chosen with care, well taught and then helped to learn further and work closely as a team.

Support for families is a defining characteristic of Vale House, and unusually Vale House has dedicated family support workers, committed to supporting the family and friends of each resident. This commitment contributes greatly to the inclusive friendly environment which so many family and visitors comment on.

Vale House is registered as an independent charity with the Charity Commission and with Companies House and conforms to the standards and procedures required by those two bodies. It is governed by a committed Board of Directors (unpaid) who are also the Trustees of the charity.

Purpose of job

To lead and develop BucksVision’s approach to volunteer involvement across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, ensuring volunteers are recruited, trained, supported and retained to help deliver high-quality services for people with sight loss.

The Volunteer Manager provides guidance and support to staff, volunteers and local groups, helping BucksVision maintain a safe, confident and sustainable volunteer base.

Impact

BucksVision relies on over 280 volunteers to support people with sight loss across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Volunteers are central to the charity’s ability to maintain existing services, respond to local need and develop new opportunities.

The Volunteer Manager plays a key role in ensuring BucksVision has a safe, effective and sustainable volunteer base. This includes improving recruitment, supporting retention, strengthening volunteer practice and helping staff and volunteer leaders to manage volunteer involvement confidently and consistently.

Decision making responsibility

The Volunteer Manager is the organisational lead for volunteer involvement and is expected to make day-to-day decisions relating to volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, support, retention and safe practice.

The postholder will use professional judgement to resolve volunteer-related issues, advise colleagues, identify risks and escalate safeguarding, performance or conduct concerns where appropriate.

Main accountabilities

To work in partnership with the Chief Executive and Operations Manager to lead and develop volunteer involvement across BucksVision, ensuring recruitment, onboarding, training, support, retention are delivered in line with BucksVision’s strategic outcomes.

This includes:

• Leading the recruitment, selection and onboarding of volunteers across BucksVision, ensuring applicants are matched to suitable roles and have a positive, accessible and inclusive experience.
• Strengthening volunteer retention by helping to create a positive volunteer experience through clear communication, recognition, feedback and practical problem-solving.
• Line managing three members of staff working with volunteers.
• Providing guidance to staff, social club volunteers, divisional volunteers and volunteer leaders on volunteer involvement, role boundaries, expectations, good practice and safe working.
• Designing, delivering and coordinating training for staff and volunteers, including induction, safeguarding, health and safety, sighted guiding, role boundaries and volunteer management good practice.
• Helping to resolve issues relating to volunteer involvement, including conduct, accessibility, safeguarding, expectations and role boundaries, escalating concerns where appropriate.

The Senior Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing, securing and stewarding our partnerships, with a particular focus on the corporate and higher education spaces. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our friendly team on a funded, part-time contract (30 hours per week). The role is home‑based in Central England with regular UK travel.

This is a varied and impactful role. In the early stages of the programme, you will work hands-on with schools and communities, delivering elements of the project including climate audits and supporting grant holders. As the programme develops, you will increasingly lead the coordination and management of a national, multi‑year climate and school grounds programme.

You will need:

• Proven experience managing large‑scale, complex projects, ideally within the education, environmental or charity sectors

Main purpose of role

To oversee the charity’s financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting and robust controls. The Senior Finance Manager provides insight to support strategic decision-making, maintains compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and manages day-to-day finance operations to safeguard the organisation’s financial health.

In addition, as part of a small team, the Senior Finance Manager provides light-touch HR support to assist with processes – such as appraisals, payroll and staff records — helping to ensure smooth operations in the absence of a dedicated HR function.

Key tasks – finance

• Ensure accurate recording of information of various funding (industry, donations, memberships etc), spending, banking 

• Manual bookkeeping and liaising with Accountants in the UK and in Belgium to ensure data is uploaded correctly to Sage (or similar software) 

• Monthly month end checks on Sage and accurate nominal coding, working with PE’s appointed accountants 

• Raise invoices and credit control

• Accounts payable & expenses process including employee and freelance pay

• Managing all aspects regarding employee pay – working with PE’s appointed payroll agent, pension provider and insurance broker

• Year-end work – including checks and liaising with PE’s appointed accountants

• Charity Commission – completion of annual return

• Donations – check and manage paypal and other donation platforms accordingly

Essential skills and experience

• Minimum five years’ professional experience in an accounting or finance role, supported by a relevant accounting qualification or significant demonstrable experience. Prior experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable. Experience or comfort managing cross-border EU-UK financial complexities is a plus.

• Experience of preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and year-end reporting

• An understanding of charity finance requirements (e.g. charity accounting, Charity Commission obligations)

• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar) and MS Office (especially Excel) 

• Experience of basic HR processes (e.g. recruitment, contracts, record-keeping, employee/er taxes and pension obligations)
