An established, London-based charity with over 25 years’ experience supporting children who have experienced trauma is seeking an inspirational Interim Chief Executive to lead the organisation through a pivotal 12-month period.
The charity delivers services across the UK using evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of each child. Through one-to-one mentoring, group sessions and school workshops, the organisation empowers children to build a brighter future. Families are also supported with specialist guidance to strengthen resilience and skills, while schools and other agencies are engaged to provide holistic and coordinated support.
With a newly launched strategy and ambitious goals ahead, the Board is seeking an experienced leader to steer the organisation and its dedicated team during this exciting phase of growth and transition.

You will be joining our growing national advocacy team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

About the Role
You will work with colleagues in the Diocesan Safeguarding Team (DST) to manage safeguarding casework and promote best safeguarding practice across the Diocese. You will ensure that all safeguarding casework is managed according to the Safeguarding Code of Practice, alongside the Sussex Child Protection and Safeguarding Adults Procedures and statutory guidance.

The principal duties include:

• Working closely with statutory agencies such as the Police, Children and Adult Service and Probation services.

About You
The ideal candidate will:
• Have significant experience of safeguarding casework with a statutory safeguarding agency, with substantial practice skills in the areas of safeguarding and protecting children and/or vulnerable adults.
• Have the ability to translate this knowledge from the statutory to the non-statutory field, assisting volunteers with little or no safeguarding background to understand the issues and be confident in their practice.
• Show evidence of the ability to apply good safeguarding practise in a way that delivers positive outcomes for children and vulnerable adults.
• Be sympathetic towards the mission of the Church, although do not themselves need to have a faith.

We're looking for someone with a digitally native, strategic outlook – it’s a plus if you’ve ever been described as chronically online! You’ll be helping to grow our presence across social media platforms, including when we (spoiler!) launch our TikTok account. It's a great opportunity for someone passionate about reproductive choice, and interested in how storytelling can make a big impact.
Plus, you’ll be a brand guardian, ensuring the look and feel of our owned channels is consistent with the MSI Reproductive Choices global brand, while still relevant and engaging to the local (UK-based) audience.

As CEO, you are responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taf, working collaboratively with the Board to shape the organisation’s strategy, direction, and policies and leading the Senior Management team.
Your role is to ensure the organisation maintains a strong focus on growth and sustainability, maximising opportunities for collaboration, service development, and delivery at both local and regional levels. You will work to build on Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taf’s existing reputation as a truly influential force in the area, and beyond, fostering networks, alliances, and robust relationships with stakeholders and partners.
