Our HR Compliance and DBS Coordinator role is more than processing paperwork. You will take a proactive approach, providing a person-centered service within our background checking operations. This role will be a friendly, expert point of contact for line managers and colleagues guiding them smoothly through aspects such as DBS checks, Right to Work requirements and the Working Time Directive.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate & Guide: Oversee the smooth daily operation of the DBS team and checking processes, resolving complex queries and keeping processes accurate, efficient, and compliant
- Clear Communications: Explain complex legal and compliance requirements into clear, practical, and accessible guidance for non-specialist audiences
- Drive Data Quality: Monitor and analyse compliance reports, identifying gaps or non-compliance, and working collaboratively with managers to implement corrective action to ensure we remain compliant, protected, and operationally excellent.
- Improve the Service: Work closely with the wider team to continually improve our systems, design easy-to-use toolkits, and keep our HR intranet fresh and up to date.

Communications

Prepare and maintain an annual comms timeline – including key celebratory or significant events for example mental health week, volunteer day etc ensuring that the Trust is maximising coverage across these key dates in the year;

Maintain the annual events calendar – work with programme leads to ensure events are being covered by comms;

Coordinate, collate and support with the preparation, completion and delivery of the ST newsletter – distribute via Mailchimp and oversee staff hard copy delivery;

Job Requirements
Our work is place-based, and people focused. To be responsive to the community and to be able to support Shoreditch Trust activities, we do not offer remote working contracts. You will need to be flexible, working some evenings and weekends. Hours will be agreed on a mutually beneficial basis in line with planned activities. The Community Table Coordinator plays a key role in delivering Shoreditch Trust’s community food and wellbeing activities, including Community Table lunch programme, Recipes of Life courses, Flavours of Home, and other food-based programmes.
The role will combine practical cooking and food preparation skills with the ability to facilitate engaging, inclusive and enjoyable group sessions. They will help create welcoming community spaces where people can connect, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and build relationships.
Working alongside the We Connect team, volunteers and community partners, the role will support participants from diverse backgrounds to take part in cooking, food-related activities and shared meals, while promoting healthy eating, independence and community participation.

The Role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Project Development Co‑ordinator in the London area. You will deliver NEA’s work programme across the region, leading stakeholder engagement, community outreach and direct support to low‑income and vulnerable households. Induction & Student Transition
· Support the Academic Experience Manager in booking and coordinating SU induction talks for the start of each Semester.

· Ensure students are aware of key opportunities such as becoming a Student Rep and how to share feedback with the SU.
· Collect feedback on induction sessions and use this to improve content and delivery for future students.
Student Representation Support
· Support the delivery of Student Representative recruitment & training, helping reps understand their role and how to represent student views effectively.
· Work with Reps throughout the year to keep them engaged, confident, and active in their role, by hosting drop-in sessions and forums.

About Adolescent Health Study
The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.
Purpose of the post
The administrative coordinator will play a key role in providing administrative, coordination and financial support across AHS. The role focuses on managing core systems, inboxes and documents, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and compliant. Acting as a central point for organisation, the postholder will coordinate meetings, support teams with routine administrative tasks, and contribute to smooth financial processes. Main responsibilities

- Manage AHS central inbox(es) and escalate matters to the business administrator and business operations team as appropriate
