Family Action & the Role’s Impact: 

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQ+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to become mentors in the local community.

Project Indigo is the LGBTQ+ youth service based at Off Centre at Family Action. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Our weekly youth group is a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other and participate in workshops and activities. In addition to the youth group, Project Indigo offers 1-to-1 support and advice sessions with the Project Lead. The group aims to support young people to build links with the local LGBTQ+ community, build meaningful relationships and get support around issues that are impacting them. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to support them in accessing training and support to do community-focused work. The Peer Mentoring Coordinator’s role will be to develop a new Peer Mentoring Programme, supporting older Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQ+ people in the local community.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who reside/are registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings; targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH); and an Information and Advice provision.

The role

As the Peer Mentoring Coordinator, you will develop and lead Project Indigo’s Peer Mentoring Programme. Central to the role will be understanding young mentors’ needs and goals, and providing high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process. You will further develop the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, liaising with partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.

This role will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing young people with the opportunity to access training, qualifications and work experience while receiving high quality support tailored to their needs. You will offer sensitive supervisory support to young LGBTQ+ mentors, supporting their diverse need by maintaining an empathetic, intersectional and youth-led approach.

Your skills

You will be a confident communicator with proven experience of working in a supportive role with LGBTQ+ young people and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of issues relating to LGBTQ+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

You will be empathetic and maintain an understanding of the social issues impacting young LGBTQ+ people. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your time and workload effectively. You will have an understanding of risk management, health and safety issues and the ability in accordance with local and organisational safeguarding policies.

About the role

The Information Events Coordinator will deliver the patient and family myeloma and AL amyloidosis information events programme consisting of face-to-face and online events hosted by the team and held throughout the UK, developing the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation and attendance.

The role holder will organise the planning, coordination and delivery of the information events programme including administration, promotion and marketing, dealing with event logistics and delivery on the day.  You will monitor the associated income and expenditure for the information events programme ensuring that the programme is delivered to budget.

You will also be responsible for organising the planning and delivery of the digital events programme, dealing with promotion and marketing and taking ownership of technical aspects of running online events as well as developing marketing material and a publicity and communications strategy for the information events programme.

Tools With A Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity dedicated to empowering people to create their own livelihoods. We collect unwanted tools from across the UK, refurbish them into professional trade kits, and ship approximately 25 containers - over 200 tonnes of equipment - annually to support around 500 skills training centres, churches and charities in seven countries. 

As Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee our ʻlocal-to-globalʼ supply chain, ensuring that refurbished toolkits reach our partners in Africa efficiently. As a Volunteer Coordinator with Hestia's vibrant and supportive Volunteering Team, you'll play a key part in creating meaningful opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our communities. You'll recruit, train, and inspire volunteers who work alongside people experiencing severe mental health challenges across our drop‑in community and crisis services. With collaboration, creativity, and empowerment at the heart of everything we do, you'll shape safe, inclusive, and uplifting environments that help individuals build confidence, improve wellbeing, and reduce social isolation. Working closely with colleagues across Hestia, you'll ensure volunteers feel valued, and service users receive tailored support, and every project delivers real impact.

In this role, you'll take a proactive lead in shaping high‑quality volunteer involvement across our mental health services. Working closely with the Area Manager, Service Managers, NHS Trust partners and Experts by Experience, you'll identify emerging needs and design volunteer roles that genuinely enhance clinical and support pathways. You'll champion a whole‑person approach supporting physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing, while inspiring staff teams to think creatively about how volunteers can add meaningful value. From recruiting and training volunteers to delivering befriending and activity programmes, to supervising their day‑to‑day involvement, you'll ensure every volunteer feels confident, supported and aligned with service priorities. You'll build strong relationships across Hestia, particularly within our crisis alternative services, and offer expert guidance to colleagues to ensure best practice. With responsibility for maintaining accurate records and contributing to the smooth running of the Volunteering Programme, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our services remain responsive, compassionate and impactful. While experience supervising volunteers is an advantage, what truly matters is your ability to engage people in a friendly, supportive manner and create an environment where volunteers feel valued, informed and able to thrive.

This is a hybrid role with three days spent on site across our London services, including regular visits to our Aldgate head office, and two days worked remotely each week.

About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator within Restless Development’s UK Fundraising team. The fundraising team’s income has grown year on year and there is huge potential to continue to grow this further and create impact at scale.

The Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator will be primarily working on the Schools Triathlon programme and managing all PR & social media comms, and also supporting on both merchandise and sponsor management. The Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest fundraising and sporting event for children aged 7-13. Its aim is to encourage more children into sport while also teaching them the importance of fundraising. Over the years, the events have raised over £3.4m for Restless Development and local charities and over 9,000 children have taken part. We are aiming to deliver 15 events in 2026 and significantly expand the series.. 

We are looking for an energetic team-player, proactive individual with great interpersonal skills who is happy to learn and get stuck in. 

Key responsibilities

Deliver and event manage high-quality Schools Triathlon events in 2026 and beyond 

• Throughout September to February, present assemblies for the Schools Triathlon to inspire school-age pupils to sign up and take part in the Schools Triathlon series, and motivate them to fundraise by delivering a fun and engaging presentation.
• Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders from host schools throughout the year, in person and online; as well as with participating schools through the delivery of assemblies and in comms prior to the event day. 
• Work with our event delivery partners to deliver 15 events throughout April, May and June 2026, ensuring that the event logistics, host school requirements, participant details are finalised and managing host school relations.
• Respond to enquiries from parents and guardians on our dedicated inbox and mobile phone when needed.
• Develop a good working relationship with the Triathlon Committee, made up of Restless Development staff and volunteers, while still keeping the appropriate members informed and bringing in support as and when needed.
• Update on relevant KPIs and income where needed
• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with recruitment of regional volunteers when needed

Schools Triathlon social media & PR 

• Lead on all social media activity for the Schools Triathlon across  our social media channels
• Lead on liaising with external PR and Host school stakeholders to deliver exceptional PR across the Schools Triathlon event series
• Lead on being the main contact for all Host School marketing teams, ensuring effective working relationships are in place and maintained to an excellent standard
• Report monthly on KPIs, ensuring effective tracking for social engagement across all channels
• Work closely with the Comms team, to ensure best working practices and collaboration is in place
• Together with the Head of Fundraising, lead on the drafting and development of the Schools Triathlon parent comms
• Manage the partnership with our events photographers

Sponsors

• Together with the Head of Fundraising, develop a sponsors partnership prospect list that aligns with our social values for year 2027 and beyond
• Lead on the project plan for our sponsors with support from the Head of Fundraising
• Set, monitor and report on the progress of KPIs and fundraising as and when needed
• Work with the wider team to plan and deliver an excellent stewardship journey for sponsors ensuring continued engagement 

Systems, Processes & Communications

• Support the wider team with event comms responding in a timely and professional manner.
• Use DotDigital to communicate to  schools and event participants 
• Competent use of Excel to process data and regularly update internal and external databases.
• Manage the Schools Triathlon website, ensuring that it is up to date and relevant.
• Accurate and timely logging of information into Restless Development’s registration system Eventrac and CRM, Salesforce – executing mass imports, new individual records, and regularly cleaning data.
• Understand and manage fundraising using the digital fundraising platform, JustGiving, ensure all pages set up are logged on our CRM.

Other 

• Must attend the Schools Triathlons as needed across April, May and June and other occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.
• Support on wider charity initiatives as and when needed
• Many of the schools we have relationships with are not accessible by public transport, so it is vital you have access to a reliable roadworthy vehicle. All travel will be reimbursed in accordance with Restless Development’s travel policy.
• Manage our Schools Triathlon Leader programme, working with the wider team to recruit and develop the opportunity for graduates/young people
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Fundraising.

Expected travel:

We are looking for a Skills Development and Engagement Coordinator who will be involved in supporting the programme journey of a young person from when they have a confirmed place on our programmes to the point when they start their expedition or adventure with us. The successful candidate will also coordinate the delivery of our Expedition Workshops and manage our Workshop Facilitators.

If you are an energetic, mature, and motivated self-starter keen to take on new challenge come and help us prepare young people for adventure and to achieve their fundraising targets.  You will need to be hard working, proactive, practical and organised, and have the self belief to be a confident communicator and empathetic to the different starting points of young people. You’ll be motivated by targets, and able to identify opportunities and foster relationships with young people and other stakeholders as part of our wider British Exploring Society community.
