Job description

The Bridge Homelessness to Hope began its mission to the disadvantaged in 2009 when a group of local Christians started providing an outreach ‘soup run’ service to homeless people in Leicester. Today our staff and volunteers come from many backgrounds and faiths; we accept those from all faiths and none. We have a number of projects which provide support, advice, guidance, food and clothing to anyone who walks through our doors in need. We are a volunteer-led organisation with a vision to provide everyone in Leicester a place to call home and hope for the future.

The post holder will be primarily responsible for getting our services, starting with our ‘recreational arts as art therapy’ groups, back up and running in a covid-19 safe and compliant manner. They will support the group facilitators to ensure our guests (service users) maintain social distancing and follow covid-19 guidelines whilst using the services on offer.

As we look to get our breakfast service (6am – 8am) operating again, this role will also be responsible to ensure that this runs in a covid-19 safe and compliant manner and again support the lead team member to ensure all guests follow covid-19 guidelines whilst using the service.

Any surplus time will be used in looking at potential ways of expanding our services, again keeping within the strict covid-19 guidelines.

Please refer to the attached job description and person specification.
