Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships 

You’ll be ambitious to take the next step and we are on hand to support and offer you training and a positive working environment to allow you to gain confidence and knowledge in the role at a steady pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.

Principle Duties:

• Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
• Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
• Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
• Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
• Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
• Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
• Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
• Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
• Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
• Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
• Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
• Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

Transaid is an international development organisation working to transform lives through safe, available and sustainable transport. As one of the chosen charities of the transport and logistics industry, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative and ambitious self-starter to shape and grow Transaid’s well established corporate partnership scheme. Responsible for a portfolio of 32 corporate partners, currently contributing c. 40% of Transaid’s fundraising income, you will lead on maintaining and developing these critical relationships whilst creating and implementing new engagement opportunities.

A self-starter with initiative and drive, you have a broad knowledge of corporate fundraising, experience of relationship management, and a proven track record of delivering creative solutions to overcome obstacles and enhance profitability. Diplomatic and persuasive, with good planning and prioritisation skills, you are a strong relationship-builder and can influence a range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the BHF, as well as to understand and apply commercial and financial principles to improve performance.

Main purpose of the role

This role will be split with 60% of your time allocated to Account Management and 40% to New Business.  

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of managing and growing fundraising partnerships, as well as experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities, contribute to a prospect pipeline and meet deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
• Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
• Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
• Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.
• Maintain robust account growth plans, update pipelines and stakeholder mapping for your partners.
• Produce high quality communications, reports, propositions and pitches for partnerships - delivering excellent account management through the highest levels of supporter centred stewardship.
• Ensure we maximise the skills and experience of corporate partners through pro-bono, value-in-kind and volunteering support.

New Business

• Proactively approaching corporate opportunities following our new business strategy, writing funding proposals and approaching community groups for new partnerships
• Responding to volunteer enquiries from companies who want to work with FareShare and converting enquiries to new business leads when viable
• Contribute to the fundraising team new business pipeline
• Maintaining accurate cultivation plans and reporting for new business approaches
• Working with the FareShare food, volunteering and marketing teams to identify new fundraising opportunities 

Communication and Administration

• Develop PR and communication plans for corporate partners, working in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage the general administration and accurate data management for your partners.
• Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
• Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.
• Contribute to the wider success of the fundraising team through supporting colleagues, celebrating successes and sharing learnings.
• Efficient and effective management of income ensuring compliance with GDPR, charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy
• With support from colleagues manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements

In addition, you will be expected to:

• Work within legal and charity guidelines 
• Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines 
• Represent Fundraising where required on internal working groups 
• Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role 
• Undertake other duties as required

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of supporting or managing fundraising relationships
• Experience of maximising and growing fundraising relationships/opportunities
• Experience of soliciting income from corporate partners/donors and evidence of successfully achieving five figure income targets
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of various corporate sectors and of corporate fundraising
• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate partners with excellent writing and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise, influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a range of projects with competing deadlines
• Experience identifying new opportunities and establishing new corporate fundraising relationships
• Ability to use initiative, prioritise and demonstrate a problem-solving approach

Desirable

• Experience of building strong relationships with key senior stakeholders
• Understanding of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice
• Experience working on a fundraising CRM system
• Experience working with volunteers or volunteer programmes
• Good numeracy and excel skills
• Good computer skills and attention to detail

Events Manager
Location: WWT London Wetland Centre, SW13 9WT
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £38,119 per annum

This is a full time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.

We are looking for an Events Manager to lead and grow our corporate and private events business at WWT London Wetland Centre. You will lead this department to be a successful, profitable operation, consistently delivering events at the highest standards for our clients.

You will maximise revenue through existing and new opportunities, building our reputation with a commercial focus. You will lead the events team and collaborate with others across London Wetland Centre and externally, in delivering the following:

• Corporate hire - meetings, networking events
• Corporate days – team building, work parties on reserve & grounds
• Private events - birthday parties, wakes, memorials
• Venue hire
• Networking events for like-minded organisations
• Partnership/marketing events

London Wetland Centre has a key role to realise our strategy and the new Events Manager will make an important contribution to our goals.

About You

To join as our Events Manager, you will bring:

• Extensive experience in creating new business and delivery in private events, corporate hire and functions
• Successful leadership qualities of leading high performing teams to deliver consistent, high-quality events for our clients
• Robust commercial acumen to ensure we are running a profitable events business at London Wetland Centre 
• Experience of developing collaborative partnerships with clients where a mutually beneficial relationship can support the aims of the organisation

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of planning and delivering private events, functions and corporate hire. They will have sound business acumen with a commercial mindset whilst maintaining a good eye for detail in the standards and service we deliver across the business.
