Partnerships and Events Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding events and donor experience professional to join a highly-effective global team, increasing the effectiveness and impact of a nonprofit working to improve the lives of millions of the most vulnerable people around the world.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, the Events Manager is a member of the partnerships team, in the external relations directorate. This role must be based in the London office but supports the work of all our global teams, most frequently the external relations team situated across London and New York.
The post-holder will be primarily responsible for the planning, creation, production and delivery of all of the Freedom Fund’s global external events, and will provide management, support and coordination for internal events. The events will range from small dinners, receptions and panel events, through to larger-scale annual events, such as staff retreats, Board hotspot visits, fundraising events and international convenings/conferences of varying scale and size. This is a vital role within our team – building upon and maintaining the Freedom Fund’s global reputation and brand, and ensuring our donors and key stakeholders enjoy exceptional experiences which deepen their understanding of our work and strengthen their relationships with us.

High Value Partnerships Manager (Corporate and Trusts)

We are looking for an experienced Trust and Corporate Manager - to be known as a High Value Partnerships Manager - to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for fundraising from Corporate Partnerships and Trusts & Grants, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. You will also use your experience to identify, attract and win new partnerships.
Contract: Permanent

- Experience of creating and delivering a High Value strategy
- Experience of the full fundraising pipeline, including researching, cultivating and securing multi-year 5 or 6 figure donations from Trusts, Foundations or Corporate Partnerships (experience of both income streams a plus)

- Ability to project manage the delivery of partnerships including impact reporting
- Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

The Role
As part of a small team, the Events and Exhibitions Manager will support the Head of Venue and New Business Development with sales, planning and delivery of events and exhibitions for external venue hire clients as well as support Society colleagues with internal event planning.
Event support includes use of the computerised room bookings system, ability to set-up and operate basic audio-visual and IT equipment, event support and post-event administration including customer invoicing.
The Events and Exhibitions Manager will also work with colleagues in an extended team, including Facilities Manager, Front of House and Audio-Visual staff, plus contracted cleaners and commissionaires in providing a first-rate service primarily for these third- party events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support the account management of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship, increasing engagement and supporting delivery for maximum potential for Variety
● Research business leads to feed the corporate pipeline and new business approaches, identifying prospects
● Keep partnership account plans up to date including fundraising, communications, finance and impact reporting, ensuring we meet key deadlines
● Send fundraising materials to supporters and corporate partners to enhance staff fundraising and engagement
● Attend Varity fundraising and awareness events, maximizing engagement opportunities for corporate partners and building relationships with supporters, while working closely with the services and communications team

• Develop and deliver supporter journeys that raise average fundraising per head, decreases drop-outs and increases repeat entry

The Events and Communications Officer will work across the team to plan, produce and deliver a calendar of in-person and on-line events. The post holder will work with the programme team to manage a calendar of online and in-person events and oversee the event process from beginning to end. This will achieved by:

We’re looking for a relational person with good emotional intelligence and communication skills, driven and care about high standards of work. With a background in fundraising or external stakeholder relations/partnerships management, you will join our established team to build new relationships, increasing our Mid-level and Major donors.
The important stuff
Salary: from £35,000 dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent, 9.30am - 5.30pm with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations
Location: Hammersmith, London. Core team office days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with flexibility on other weekdays

Person Specification
- An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment to enter work.
- Outstanding people skills; experience of relationship management within philanthropy, or a business development or client account management role.
- Strong written and verbal communicator including effective influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience of developing and delivering operational plans to meet targets including running and hosting large and small events.
- Proven success of generating income, meeting targets or securing new business is desirable.
- An interest in research and data on the wider landscape that impacts young people facing barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Develop and manage relationships with Resurgo’s major donors, asking for financial support at the right time.
- Create bespoke stewardship plans for existing major donors and new prospects, including in-person meetings, written updates and reports.
- Help to develop mid-level giving by creating stewardship plans and tailored written communication.
Business Development
- Develop and implement the business development, attending networking
events, asking for introductions and being confident using LinkedIn to
look for new opportunities, identifying, researching and contacting
potential supporters. - Work with the corporate teams to cross-promote opportunities; identify and
further engage potential high-level donors within businesses and vice versa.
Events
- Assist with the planning and delivery of a variety of fundraising events,
working closely with the impact, communications and finance teams to
generate strong results. - Help to develop and deliver new strategic events to further engage
major and mid-level donors with Resurgo’s work.
Financial Management
- Help to monitor the major donor pipeline, regularly reporting on income and progress against targets and help with financial management using a CRM (Salesforce).

- Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member
