About the Role

Reporting to Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll play a crucial role in raising funds by engaging with SME's and the local community. This role involves developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with potential donors, supporting staff fundraising initiatives and coordinating fundraising events. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that contribute to the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

The Youth Zone has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding presentations. It costs £1.7 million a year to run, 90% of which is generated through voluntary donations of which this role will be aiming to contribute £200k in the first 2 years.

You will therefore play a vital role in keeping the charity financially sustainable through the development of local business and community fundraising. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.

About You

Being self-motivated and action orientated, you will be able to create and grow your own pool of potential supporters and thrive on 'making the ask'. As an enthusiastic ambassador, you'll be able to communicate this in an inspiring and tailored way and be comfortable in seeking and securing donations, whilst working alongside colleagues in the team to monitor and steward these donations appropriately.

Knowledge and experience:

Proven track record of generating income from Community and/or Corporate Fundraising. 
Experience of meeting ambitious targets for new business and stewarding. 
Experience of managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors and aligning your interests with the organisational needs, to maximise gift level. 
Understanding of issues affecting young people and disadvantaged communities.
Understanding and knowledge of White City Community.

The role

The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.

Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating a pipeline of prospective donor relationships, as well as creating compelling corporate fundraising campaigns and providing personalised stewardship to both attract new supporters and nurture existing relationship.

This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team. There is a recognition that some aspects of this role might, at times, overlap with the remit of other team members (for instance, corporate foundations, corporate volunteering). There will also be an expectation that both the Head of Income Generation and Marketing and the CEO are actively involved in Income Generation from Individuals as well as Corporates, especially where High Net Worth (HNW) and more strategic partnerships are concerned. A key requirement for success in this role is to be able to function well in the context of a team setting.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Executive, to play an important enabling role, supporting the wider Partnerships team in the pursuit of new business, account retention/growth and fundraising/donor management.

The Role

Experience

• At least three years of proven successful experience in major gifts or corporate partnerships fundraising of four figures or more.

• Thorough understanding of data protection and, specifically, UK GDPR requirements pertaining to fundraising and sponsorship work.

Job Description  

The Partnership Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation team and wider central team, with a responsibility to help meet the needs of our existing partnerships and support in fulfilling the charity’s income generation plans and strategy. 

Key Responsibilities 

You will support the management of our brand and corporate partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate Partnerships. Your role will be to develop and deliver partnership strategies and stewardship plans for each account, to deliver against our objectives and meet income targets. 

• Work closely with the Head of Brands and Corporate Partnerships and to ensure the collaborative transition of new partners into account management, liaise with (Brand Coordinator/ Product Donation Manager) and Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Awareness and Head of Operations. 

• Identify and outreach to target brands and corporate partners, working to engage their support for the charity

• Accurately forecast and manage expenditures for our partners, working with the Head of Brand and Corporate partnerships to create mitigation plans when necessary.

About the role 

This is an exciting new post in the Communications Team at Glass Door. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will support the delivery of a new paid & organic digital marketing strategy, working closely & collaboratively with both the Comms & Fundraising Teams, as well as co-lead on the delivery of a new website.

Marketing:  

• Work with all internal stakeholders to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness. 

• Co-manage delivery of multiple/ congruent campaigns, appeals & events to attract & engage new supporters - often working alongside key members of other teams including fundraising, operations and advocacy teams.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate a track record in successful organisational design and implementation, including the development of effective but adaptable systems and processes and their roll-out across a complex organisation with multiple partners and stakeholders. You will manage and lead on finance, governance and risk, ensuring that Travalyst is run according to the highest standards for a UK not-for-profit organisation.

Areas of responsibility: 

Governance, Legal & Risk

· Be accountable for governance structures and processes, including reviewing and revising governance documentation annually

· Support the Travalyst Board and CEO to ensure effective risk management and mitigation 

· Support CEO with preparation of Board packs and attend Board meetings as an Observer 

· Act as Company Secretary

Financial Management

· Oversight of financial management and administration, including near and longer-term financial planning, modelling, and cash flow management

· Manage outsourced Finance Director, bookkeeper accountants and auditors for budgeting, statutory accounting, audit, payroll, and tax - and evolve the Finance function as the organisation scales

· Support the CEO on funder management, leading on financial and operational aspects of fundraising, including leading grant application processes, budgeting and grant reporting

HR and Organisational Design

· Oversight of HR management and administration, including resource planning and recruitment

· Managed outsourced HR and recruitment consultants on professional development, culture & engagement, employee lifecycle management and recruitment initiatives

· Evolve HR function as the organisation grows

· Oversee workforce planning and recruitment for new hires supported by outsourced HR

· Ensure compliance of all existing legal/ contractual agreements with employees, consultants and suppliers

Operations and Strategy

· Support the CEO on the development of Travalyst’s annual strategic planning and lead on the accompanying operational plan

· Support the CEO in managing Travalyst Coalition Partners, including acting as the relationship lead where required

· Lead on Travalyst’s procurement process and manage key supplier relationships including all contracts, policies, and procedures

The Director of Corporate Partnerships will lead the development of strategic corporate partnerships with key organisations in priority sectors, generating significant income for Kew, influencing and supporting the implementation of nature positive strategies across the business sector and helping to facilitate business voices in influencing key audiences. With your team you will be responsible for building a pipeline of potential partnerships at a variety of levels, including an effective corporate membership scheme, corporate sponsorship and long term project funding. 

You will work to lead change across Kew to embrace the full potential of corporate partnerships navigating the organisational and logistical challenges required to deliver long-term transformation. You will be a member of the Development Directorate leadership team and work closely with the Kew Director, Trustees and Development Council to maximise the potential of high-level networks. Our work splits into two main areas – the first is advocacy and research, where we seek partnerships that will allow us to grow our nationwide campaigns and calls for action, as set out in the DPA’s National Delivery Plan.  The second, a growth area for us, is delivery of programmes that help real people – such as our Tech4 suite of initiatives, which support a range of beneficiaries, but commonly young people and families, to access kit, connectivity, skills and support, and our Donation Management Service which works on a school by school basis to ensure parental donations support year groups gain class-wide one to one devices.

The Development Manager will work with the CEO and our team to facilitate this growth in impact, understanding and influence and encourage new partnerships, while ensuring our donors and supporters feel informed and engaged.

As an initiative, the DPA aims to work through partners in delivering to our core mission and, as such, we retain only a small core team. As such, you’ll lead on the fundraising function and the DMS relationships, but work within a highly supportive team where income targets are shared.

Whilst the role is remote based, you will regularly need to attend in-person meetings and events in central London (daytime and evening), as well as undertaking travel across the UK. This will include supporting set up at conferences and events, and may include overnight stays.  A driving licence is not essential.

You will be ready to “roll up your sleeves” and get involved in other projects at times, as part of a small and dedicated team, and take on administrative and logistical tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Writing grant applications, bids and proposals to corporates, public sector and third sector organisations as part of formal and informal fundraising application processes.
• Secure new memberships to the Digital Poverty Alliance Industry Forum, a corporate membership scheme for businesses seeking to take action on digital poverty, working with the CEO and colleagues leading on policy and public affairs.
• Lead on bringing in new client schools for the DMS, growing the network of schools and families supported by and supporting this programme.
• Lead the account management process for schools who are part of our Donation Management Service (DMS) programme, retaining existing customers.
• Work with CEO and SMT to create and maintain strong fundraising partnerships with large and small organisations key to our work.
• Work with the CEO to spot new opportunities for initiatives with an eye to developing new corporate partnerships and sponsorships, whilst working within the resources of a small organisation.
• Identifying grant routes, commissioning opportunities, potential consultancy clients and donor opportunities, including prospect research.
• Iterate our fundraising strategy for increasing income, including developing new ideas to drive revenue.
• Provide support to the CEO who manages the largest strategic partnerships.
• Contribute to marketing, PR, social media and related communications activities in relation to partner activities and digital fundraising, including leading the marketing strategy for the DMS.
• Prepare high quality collateral and assets to support partnership working, including presentations and reports.
• Work with colleagues to role model best practice in partnership development.
• Project manage initiatives related to fundraising, using recognised tools and techniques.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the digital poverty landscape, including across policy, research and interventions, to inform partner development.

NB: This role will require attending meetings in London and travel across the UK, and may include occasional evening work or overnight stays.  As part of a small team, this will include attending conferences, exhibiting on behalf of the DPA, and supporting other events.

You’ll lead on the delivery of a range of events including runs, triathlons, cycles, treks and overseas challenges, with a focus on growing income and engagement.
