Touchstone is now seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Finance & Resources, to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  You will be required to provide strategic leadership for finance and resource management across Touchstone, to ensure long term stability and maintenance of the highest standards of probity.  You will also be responsible for leading on the delivery of IT support services.  The successful applicant will be a confident leader, who will work closely with the CEO and SLT and will be the designated company secretary.  You will have:

The Volunteer Manager (VM) is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors across the regions, which includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, general oversight of mentoring relationships in different programmes, implementation of safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline across the regions, with 5000 new mentors for 2024.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM VM’s main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by sourcing sufficient volunteer mentors who go on to become confirmed matches for high quality mentoring relationships.

• Ensuring mentors coming online have completed the platform mentor training within 1 month, and that this conversion results in sufficient and timely readiness of mentors to meet the needs of programmes with one month’s lead time.

• Providing ongoing support to 1MM’’s Volunteer Providers (eg employer partners), maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing one corporate sponsor per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to mentors.

• Providing a weekly update on various aspects of mentor recruitment, including expected supply, actual registration, and confirmed matching. Share lessons learned on volunteer conversion and matching with the wider team.

Terms and Conditions:

This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata)..  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

Centre for London is London’s independent think tank, and a registered charity. As Research Director, you will lead Centre for London’s research team, developing new solutions to London’s critical challenges, securing funding for our work, preparing, publishing and promoting reports, supporting public events, and communicating our work to stakeholders and policymakers. 

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will help develop and implement the organisational strategy; contribute to the development, fundraising and delivery of events and other projects; and promote the ideas of the organisation to build its influence in existing and new public and private arenas. 

The recommendations of your team will make a difference to policy and practice – tackling issues such as housing, poverty and inequality, employment and skills, transport and the public realm, the climate and nature crises, community resilience, and London’s place in the UK and the world. You will be line– managed by the CEO and work closely with the External Affairs and Development teams.

This role would best suit someone with significant experience leading policy research programmes – in a think tank, consultancy, central or local government, academia or similar. You will have a strong understanding of policy in London and the UK, project management skills, and be able to credibly communicate complex ideas to different audiences – in meetings, in writing, through blogs and articles, and in speeches. You will have strong analytical skills, including a track record of qualitative and quantitative research. You will have experience in fundraising, will have managed budgets, and will be confident working with researchers at different stages in their careers. However, we are less interested in what you have done, and more in what you can do.

This is ideally a full-time role; however, flexible working is embedded within our culture. The Role

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide support to two of our Directors and our Chief Financial Officer.

Finance and Operations Manager - 4 or 5 days a week - Fully remote - one year contract

An exciting opportunity has come up to work for a circa £1million turnover association. This is a newly created role, where you will be working very closely with reporting to the CEO.

This is a fully remote role, offering a salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with 30% non contributory pension. My client is open to candidates looking to work 4 days a week, where the salary will be prorated.

This is a very hands-on Finance role overseeing the HR and the IT infrastructure. The role provides support to the Board ensuring the organisation is charity compliant in all its work. The organisation has grown rapidly recently, receiving a number of grants, and this role will help provide assurance regarding their administration and on reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Maintain a suitable business planning model covering long term cash flow forecasts
• Ensure annual Statutory Accounts are completed in adherence with UK accounting standards
• Develop and maintain adequate financial control systems and procedures
• Develop an effective IT strategy and ensure service levels are set and maintained with external IT suppliers
• Ensure that the organisation complies to relevant regulations for data protection and data security
• Day-to-day oversight of the finance function
• Support project officers with grant management and reporting
• Produce monthly management accounts and prepare the finance part of the annual report
• Main contact for accountants who audit and lead on preparing required documents
• Ensure processes are in place for payroll, expenses, assets, issuing of invoices, purchases
• Work with colleagues to produce detailed annual budgets and oversee financial planning for the organisation
• Oversee recruitment processes including advertising, interviewing, issuing contracts etc. for staff and contractors
• Lead on the development and implementation of technology solutions across the National Landscapes Association

The Public Affairs and Policy Manager will play a crucial role in helping to determine and shape TMs policy goals and how best to achieve them. You will ensure co-production and the voice and lived experiences ethnic Romani (Gypsy), Traveller and Roma is central to all our engagement and influencing work. 

Salary: £53,968 per annum, rising to £56,809 after 12 months in London. £49,940 per annum, rising to £52,781 after 12 months outside of London.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?

Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:

• responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
• leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
• dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
• giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking
• working collaboratively with colleagues across the MS Society
• liaising with external safeguarding agencies
• embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices.

You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately and consistently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and/or online. 

An understanding of safeguarding within the charity or public service sectors is essential. 

A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.

One in two people don’t have a Christian friend to invite them to church, open a Bible with them, or tell them the good news of Jesus. We want to see that change. The poor areas of London are incredibly diverse, in fact London is the most ethnically diverse in the world, growing at over 100,000 people a year. The world has come to London – we long to see the Gospel taken to the world by working alongside churches to visit homes and go out into the streets of London with the good news of the Gospel.

We are praying for a talented Director of Finance, Property and IT to join our Leadership Team. You will be inheriting a skilled and diverse team across the finance, property and IT functions, with the possibility to grow this team, as needed, to fulfil your responsibilities.

• Salary: £84,000 depending on experience + 13.8% employer contribution to pension, 30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and 3 days ex-gracia during Christmas and New year + other benefits.
• Location: London City Mission will carefully consider flexible working patterns where possible, though at least 2 days a week presence at Nasmith House, 175 Tower Bridge Road will be necessary.
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). Permanent. Let us know if you need more flexibility than this.
• Responsible for: Currently the team is 26 people, with five direct reports across finance, property and IT. Additional staff may be needed to fulfil the job description.
