We’re a Founder-led charity working to solve learn-to-swim for disabled children - and we aim to do that in the next ten years.
We’ve grown our impact 5x in the past three years and now raise over £1m in unrestricted income annually through our swim events. The role

We’re looking for a strategic, creative Head of Fundraising to lead our next phase of growth.
Your first focus will be stewarding our 3,000 fundraisers - overseeing segmented email journeys, managing a £40k prizing fund, and improving supporter care through deeper, more personal touchpoints. That might mean calls, events, or just finding ways to help people feel more connected to their impact.
Beyond that, you'll help us develop and test new income streams - from matched giving and regular giving, to sponsorships, repeat fundraising, and post-event conversion. You'll also play a key role in evolving our Challenge Events portfolio across in-person, virtual, and blended formats.
This role requires someone with a strong track record in fundraising growth, a test-and-learn mindset, and the ambition to build something big.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategy Development and Implementation
- Develop and execute a fundraising strategy aligned with the charity's objectives.
- Identify and cultivate new fundraising opportunities to diversify income streams.
- Defining our fundraising growth strategies, specifically around our event series.
Community and Events Fundraising
- Oversee the planning and execution of community fundraising initiatives, specifically with our event fundraisers.
- Engage and mobilise volunteers and supporters for fundraising activities.
Fundraiser Care
- Customer Lifetime value / retention / regular giving.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring effective stewardship.
- Develop and implement donor retention strategies to increase long-term support and regular giving.
Trusts and Foundations
- Working closely with our Head of Programmes to oversee our bids process, working with specialists and utilising learnings from previous years.
- Deepen strong relationships with grant-making bodies and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Corporate Partnerships
- Manage and develop corporate partnerships and event sponsorships.
- Develop tailored proposals and pitches to attract corporate support.
Team Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and manage a small fundraising team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members for both fundraising and marketing.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and report on fundraising performance against targets.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior fundraising role.
- Proven experience working on fundraising events and event fundraising.
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
- Strong track record of securing major gifts, grant funding and/or corporate partnerships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in digital fundraising and leveraging social media platforms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support
- To be the first point of contact for challenge event supporters - ensuring that they receive responses within agreed timeframes, and always in a warm, friendly, and supportive manner.
- To work with the team to ensure systems and processes run efficiently, and update these where necessary.
- Assist with the administration, preparation and implementation of challenge events to include updating the events on the Combat Stress website.
- Maintaining the fundraising database, Raiser's Edge, ensure all supporter information is accurate and up to date.
- Ensure fundraising stewardship strategy and GDPR guidelines are adhered to.
- Maintaining accurate financial records, including coding expenditure and filing invoices.
- Respond to and co-ordinate requests for fundraising literature, merchandise and the distribution of promotional materials.
- Help manage our on-line fundraising platform Fundraisin and other fundraising platforms including JustGiving, Enthuse etc.
- Working with the wider Challenges and Community team, co-ordinate and create our Challenge eNews, providing suitable fundraiser stories for this and our social media.
Relationship Management, Development and Stewardship
- Develop strong working relationships internally to ensure the portfolio is delivered efficiently, particularly with the Community, Corporate, Database, Digital and Communications teams
- Assist with marketing, recruitment and organisation of all challenge events, and stewardship of challenge event participants on their supporter journey.
- Manage our DIY fundraising programme, making sure supporters' personal stories are recognised and they receive the best possible experience to encourage long-term engagement.
- Represent Combat Stress at meetings, events and presentations outside normal office hours (evenings and weekends) as required. You will be given time off in lieu of these hours.
- Undertake any ad hoc duties of a compatible nature as may be required from time to time by the Head of Challenge and Community Events.

Role Description
The role of a programme coordinator is ensuring the smooth running of all programme related events. This will include having a full understanding of all the SEO London programmes; understanding the relevant industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students, young professionals and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme. Accountabilities
DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS
- Responsible for the overall administration all participants events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities page and weekly newsletter
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING
- Responsible for the relationship management of the participants - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO London
- Responsible for managing participants query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events
- Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)

In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families’ programme to support Primary School staff, parents and carers in increasing pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside of the classroom. Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years. Jigsaw4u’s Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have recognised the need for dedicated staffing resource to hold the day-to-day responsibility for the service management function as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

- Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. Job summary
We are looking for a proactive, confident and supporter-focused fundraiser to build and manage relations with JGDR’s local community across North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. Working with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager, you will deliver a strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from the local community. This is a varied role which will cover:
· Stewarding and recruiting supporters undertaking their own fundraising activities, including those taking part in challenge events
· Organising & attending local events to raise awareness and income
· Proactively approaching and working with local &national businesses
· Recruiting and overseeing a network of volunteers who can support income generation in your local area. This role would suit a target-driven, approachable and resourceful fundraiser with ambition and drive – there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own and drive forward growth in these crucial income streams.
Your role
You will sit in the Volunteering and Community Fundraising team, and report to the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager. You will manage your own time to effectively balance both developing and stewarding relationships with individual and corporate supporters in the local area and working through a network of volunteers to deliver fundraising and retail objectives.
You will develop and grow strong relationships with supporters, collaborating with colleagues across the wider organisation to ensure you are offering the best supporter experience you can. You will attend local events with, and through, volunteers, work with colleagues in our retail and operation sites, and spot other opportunities to promote JGDR in your community and drive support for our work.

Key responsibilities
Community fundraising
· Identify, engage, and steward DIY and community fundraisers, developing strategies to promote fundraising activities in these groups and grow income from your local area
· Proactively pursue local business partnership opportunities, developing a pipeline of potential corporate support and making applications to secure support
· Provide high quality stewardship of supporters, groups and businesses within the community, responding to enquiries in a timely way and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard
· Represent JGDR as the first point of contact within the community, promoting our mission, vision, and values alongside fundraising and volunteer opportunities
· Ensure that Donorflex is up-to-date and develop regular reporting mechanisms to inform the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager of outputs and results, and support understanding of the local audiences, including individual supporters, local businesses, and volunteers, and their historical engagement with the charity
Volunteering
· Work with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager and Volunteering Administration Assistant to recruit, induct and train volunteers to support fundraising and other relevant initiatives in the local community
· Via volunteer support, oversee the distribution of collection boxes in your local area, monitoring and reporting on income generated
· Coordinate and attend – supported by a network of volunteers – key local events, e.g. county shows, to raise awareness of JGDR in the local community and drive support for the charity amongst target audience groups.
· Ensure JGDR retail shops, and their volunteers, in your area have relevant and timely information on current fundraising campaigns and other initiatives to share with customers
· Ensure that the Volunteering database, Volunteero, is up to date
Other duties
· Contribute content for social media, fundraising newsletters, publications and local media to support marketing objectives and increase our engagement with adopters, supporters and donors online
· Keep up to date with sector trends and developments in community and regional fundraising, and volunteering
· Ensure all fundraising activities and events operate within best practice and regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements.
· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and PECR, and other relevant legislative requirements.
· Manage any complaints from supporters efficiently and sensitively
· Act as a collaborative role model to the wider team, and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the wider charity to be an internal ambassador for Fundraising and Marketing

We are looking for a new Regular and Mid-Value Giving Officer – someone who brings a passion for hospice care and wants to play a part in establishing an integrated individual giving programme at the Hospice of St Francis.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Friends of St Francis, the Hospice’s regular giving programme, develop and test creative new approaches to regular giving and optimise the programme for the digital age.

The opportunity......
You will play a central role in growing and maintaining income across the Hospice and positioning us as the local charity of choice.
You will help establish an integrated individual giving programme, review and develop our regular giving offering, the Friends of St Francis, and establish a new mid-value segment.
This role will provide the opportunity to develop and test new ways to grow the supporter base whilst driving engagement and retention.
You’ll bring creativity and a results-oriented outlook, contributing to the wider success of fundraising at the Hospice.
The must haves......
- Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating and growing income in an Individual Giving Role (or with relevant transferable skills)
- Data management and analysis: Strong data analysis skills with experience of approaches to data segmentation and developing data management systems and processes
- Project management and collaboration: Ability to manage complex projects, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Results orientated: Knowledge of developing and tracking KPIS and ability to drive regular giving that maximises ROI

About the role:
This is a varied role that would suit an individual who has sound knowledge in childcare legislation, advocacy and participation and is passionate about making meaningful relationships to achieve change.

Role overview
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Programme Coordinator to help keep our busy calendar of classes, events, and community activities running like clockwork. This is a varied role with a focus on bookings and administration, alongside outreach, communications, and reporting, helping us reach more people, share our story, and measure the difference we make. The role will be onsite at our teaching space in Hackney. You’ll play a really key role in our team, making sure everyone, from our chef educators to our school partners, has the right information at the right time. You’ll coordinate the scheduling of a range of programmes, from weekly school sessions to seasonal events, ensuring each is delivered smoothly, safely and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
Programme & Administrative Coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries via phone, email, and in-person show-arounds.
- Manage and maintain the shared bookings calendar, ensuring schedules are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate all aspects of school, after-school, and holiday cooking programmes — including outreach, scheduling, and briefing the delivery team.

- Create and update promotional materials using tools such as Canva.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Keep our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework up to date, recording key data monthly and termly to record and evaluate our impact.
- Maintain accurate participation records across all of our programmes
- Collect and analyse participant feedback to improve delivery and help evaluate our programmes.
- Support the preparation of reports, case studies, and impact stories.
Finance & Administration
- Support financial processes for bookings and programmes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and deposits.
- Assist with budget monitoring for projects and events.
- Ensure accurate financial records are maintained in line with organisational procedures.

In the role of Senior Trust and Grants Fundraiser you will work closely with a team of four other trust fundraisers. You will play a key role in helping to meet our income target of circa £1.5m in 2025-26 and producing high quality written proposals and reports that reflect the impact of philanthropic support on the people we work with. - Identifying, building and nurturing relationships with prospective charitable trusts and foundations, as well as cultivating relationships with an existing portfolio of funders, securing high-value 5-6 figure gifts from trusts.

- Reporting on donation impact through written updates and service visits, and collaborating with internal teams.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This will include Tuesdays and one other day per week of your choosing. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.
About you
We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser with excellent communication skills, who can build relationships with funders and with colleagues from across the organisation.
- Your strong writing skills will enable you to craft compelling, effective funding proposals and reports that convey the incredible impact that philanthropic support has on the people St Mungo’s supports.
- You will have a proactive approach and demonstrate your organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to think and work strategically, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous line management experience is not necessary, but you will ideally have experience of informally supporting and motivating others and willingness to develop line management skills.
