Are you a senior fundraising professional with international experience? At ClientEarth, we are looking to hire an experienced and strategic Head of Philanthropy to lead the development and delivery of our global philanthropy programme. In this senior leadership role, you will guide a talented, geographically dispersed Philanthropy team, build deep relationships with major donors across Europe, the US and Asia, and drive income growth.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Hannah Braithwaite who is based in London. Hannah is responsible for leading ClientEarth’s fundraising efforts for its growing portfolio of programmes. Hannah has dedicated her career to raising funds and resources for climate and nature causes. With a degree in Zoology from Sheffield University, Hannah combines her scientific background with her passion for the environment to generate impact with knowledge and credibility. Prior to joining ClientEarth Hannah has held a number of leading roles at prominent international environmental organisations, including Head of External Affairs at the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre and Head of Trusts and Foundations at Fauna & Flora.

Main Duties

• Develop and implement the global philanthropy strategy as part of the overall fundraising strategy, liaising with senior leadership, programme leads, communications and finance to ensure ClientEarth can maximise the potential income from major donors.
• Develop, implement and achieve relevant KPIs and financial targets for the philanthropy team and lead on the production of appropriate reports for senior management and the board of trustees.
• Using the strategy (organisational and fundraising) the Head of Philanthropy will personally manage and support senior staff on holding income-yielding high-level relationships.
• Manage relationships and drive strategy relating to our senior stakeholders such as the Development Board, Chair of the Board and act as a key facilitator and steward of relationships between foundation staff and key programme contacts.
• Set up and implement systems to review performance against set targets and objectives and monitor funder data and oversee the effective management of our database;

About the Role

Young Roots is looking for an experienced and creative Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to play a key role in securing income that transforms the lives of young refugees and asylum seekers. This is a rewarding role leading Trusts and Foundations income generation with structured support from the Head of Fundraising and Development. About the DEC

The DEC is made up of 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialise in different areas of disaster response. They come together to speak in one voice and make fundraising more efficient when we launch an appeal. About the Role

You will hold an integral role at the DEC for accurately and efficiently managing DEC’s accounting function, ensuring compliance with charity and donor regulations. You will oversee budgeting, grant management, and donor reporting with transparency and accuracy. You will provide financial insights to support cross organisational projects and program delivery and hold a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with our vision and strategic planning.

About You

You will be a confident communicator, who can engage with diverse internal & external stakeholders, including funders and partners, creating a collaborative approach to meet varying commitments. You must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with senior finance leadership experience in the non-profit or NGO sector and demonstrate strong understanding of charity accounting standards and donor compliance requirements.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager who will oversee The Advice Workforce Development Fund (AWDF). AWDF is a collaborative programme dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the social welfare advice sector in London. The role will coordinate and run steering and advisory groups, and ‘task and finish’ groups, working with cross-sector stakeholders to enable the implementation of recent recommendations generated by research commissioned by the programme, and help with monitoring and evaluating the project and funded projects under this programme. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, a commitment to social justice, and a track record of delivering impactful support to external partners.

The workforce development programme was created after working closely with a group of funders and advice sector representatives who are now steering group members. About the role

The Senior Programme Finance Specialist provides senior financial, contractual, and compliance leadership across a mixed portfolio of programmes funded by institutional, corporate, and philanthropic donors. The role has a strong focus on programme funding and proposal development, working closely with Programme Funding colleagues, Programme Managers, and Country Offices to develop compliant, well-structured budgets and financial narratives.

Key objectives include ensuring robust financial design at proposal stage, effective financial oversight during delivery, and strong compliance and audit readiness across the portfolio. About the Role

As a key member of Big C’s Executive leadership team, you will bring a specialist knowledge of cancer and act as an ambassador for the charity in this area of expertise.

You will serve as the clinical lead for the charity with leadership and management responsibilities of our Cancer Support Centres and Hubs, our Health Academy programmes, and of the teams that deliver them.  This includes collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable services for anyone affected by cancer.  An example we are proud of is the practical help with social and financial concerns through our Citizens Advice welfare advisors.

You will also support the Chief Executive with the strategic development and direction of Big C’s cancer support services and health academy programmes. The charity works with care leavers and at risk young people using drama, staging high profile theatre and film productions.

Reporting in to the CEO, the Head of Finance and Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational, financial and legal aspects of the charity, the work it produces and its staff, ensuring successful delivery of all services. Accountable to the CEO, this person must ensure that the right balance is achieved between a programme of activity and prudent financial management. Some of the key responsibilities include strategic and financial planning, leading in the development and management of business plans. You will ensure realistic financial targets are set, work alongside the CEO to develop a robust, deliverable business plan for financial partnerships and will lead on the development and implementation of HR strategy and staff management policies. You will support the Fundraising team alongside the CEO, working with them to develop and manage a realistic weighted pipeline of trusts and foundations. You will also monitor funding agreements and renewals, support the preparation of corporate sponsorship contracts and over see the management of the office space.

The successful candidate will have prior experience managing finances, ideally for a charitable organisation or not for profit, however you do not need to be a fully qualified accountant. You will have team management experience with the ability to motivate and support staff and bring experience of embedding policies and processes to ensure smooth running of the organisation. You will be a self starter with the ability and drive to learn aspects of the role that you are not as familiar. The Role

The Trusts & Grants Lead is responsible for delivering income from trusts, foundations and statutory funders through proactive prospect research, high quality applications, relationship management and timely reporting, contributing directly to FareShare Midlands’ income targets and growth plans.

Trusts & Grants Delivery

• Manage a portfolio of trust, foundation and grant funders
• Writing applications and reports
• Budget management for restricted funds
• Working with FSM and FSUK colleagues on bids
• Build strong relationships with programme officers, grant managers, funding panels.
• Managing restricted funding compliance
• Coordinating evaluation and evidence collection for funder reports
• Monitoring funder requirements and deadlines

Pipeline Development & Prospect Research

• Identify a pipeline of new opportunities in trusts, grants, foundations and corporate to secure new income for FareShare Midlands
• Maintain a rolling 12 to 18 month pipeline
• Regular prospect research using databases (e.g. funds online, the charity commission website, idox etc)
• Prioritising opportunities by value, likelihood and strategic fit
• Assisting on project development working with colleagues to build in the needs and preferences of funders to ensure projects can attract support

Funder Stewardship & Reporting

• Professional stewardship of trusts and foundations funders
• Managing funder communications in line with grant agreements
• Working with the stewardship officer and comms team to identify and develop impact stories and relevant data.

Communication

• Writing funder-facing materials
• Ensuring clarity, evidence and compliance in all submissions
• Coordinating case studies and impact data for bids

Compliance, Monitoring & Administration

 Application tracker ownership

• Reporting calendar management
• Income forecasting for trusts & grants
• Document management for funder requirements

You will be successful in this role by:

• Consistently securing income from trusts, foundations and statutory funders in line with agreed targets
• Maintaining a strong, well-researched pipeline of trust and grant opportunities
• Submitting high-quality funding applications and reports to deadline

Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the wellbeing of the city through creative practice. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to build up Shieldfield Art Work’s fundraising programme and contribute to our strategy. This is a vital part of our work as we seek to become more sustainable and resilient in an ever challenging climate. 

Our ideal candidate will have good experience in developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy in order to take the strategic fundraising work of our community arts hub into a new chapter. You will also be able to articulate your active Christian faith, be able to explain SAW's Christian ministry and show ability to be able to write for both Christian and secular funders with different priorties.

You will need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise. The role is suitable for candidates who are experienced in larger and multi-year applications to trusts and foundations (ideally in the cultural sector), developing individual giving campaigns and CSR channels, cultivating donor relationships and a good storyteller, to tell the story of and champion SAW. You must be motivated particularly by the social impact and outreach work that we deliver.

Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the good of the city through creative practice. We are a team of artists who support others to be creative, and use our creativity to support others. We believe that the arts help us to articulate what it is to be human and that arts participation enables joy and flourishing in unique and unexpected ways. We are blessed with a gallery, workshop room and garden on our site in Shieldfield and so try to organise ways for these assets to be a blessing to our local community.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Head of Finance and Contracts to as we continue to grow and develop the organisation’s internal operations. As Head of Finance and Contracts, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management and contractual compliance across the charity.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our small finance team, while also leading on budgeting, funder reporting and forecasting. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the organisation’s contracts ensuring we’re operating in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office at least two days per week. Part time can be considered for this role.

The Head of Finance and Contracts will sit within the CoppaFeel! Finance Team, report to the Finance Director, and line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, providing guidance, support, continuous improvement and performance oversight.

• Actively participate in Leadership Team meetings, contributing to the development and achievement of strategic objectives.

• Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to inform long-term decision-making and business growth.

Financial Strategy & Reporting

• Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

• Oversee monthly management accounts; meet regularly with Heads of Department (HoDs)to monitor spend and evaluate impact.

• Support with the preparation draft statutory accounts and coordinate audit queries.

• Conduct financial analysis, working with HoDs to assess ROI across key projects and income streams.

Operational Finance

• Ensure the effective day-to-day running of the finance function, including payroll, VAT, cashflow, and working capital management.

• Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and best-practice requirements.

• Identify financial risks and implement proportionate mitigation strategies.

Contracts, Funding & Governance

• Provide financial oversight for grant and corporate funding applications, ensuring financial viability and compliance.

• Oversee contracts with suppliers, partners, and funders, working with legal advisers where required.

• Support the Finance Committee reporting and cover for the Finance Director if necessary.

• Monitor and respond to changes in financial, legal, and regulatory requirements affecting the organisation.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or equivalent senior-level financial experience.

• Proven experience in charity finance, working knowledge of SORP, compliance, contracting and supporting audits.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

• Senior-level finance leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear financial insight to non-financial stakeholders.

• High level of integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail.

• Strong technical proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software).

Desirable

• Understanding of impact and ROI evaluation in a charity context.

• Experience supporting funding applications, particularly for grants and corporate partnerships.

• Experience working in a small charity environment, and creating new systems or processes.

•  Project Delivery & Coordination: Implement the Carers in Employment Project plan, ensuring milestones and targets are met. 

•  Employer outreach and campaigns: Coordinate outreach campaigns to engage SMEs through letters, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events. Organise and deliver employer engagement activities, including targeted campaigns during Carers Week and Carers Rights Day.

•  Employer Engagement & Support: Promote carer-friendly policies and practices using resources such as the Carers UK ‘Employers for Carers’ toolkit. Provide advice and guidance to employers on flexible working, emergency leave, and statutory rights. Facilitate access to CSWS support services for carer-employees, including 1-to-1 advice clinics.

•  Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver carer-awareness training sessions for employers and HR teams. Develop and share best practice resources for workplace carer support.

•  Monitoring & Reporting: Track engagement metrics (e.g. number of SMEs reached, policies adopted). Prepare progress reports and contribute to impact evaluations.

•  Work collaboratively with colleagues across Carers Support West Sussex to align the project offer with the wider support available in the localities.
