Community Fundraiser - Home Counties

Brain Tumour Research is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraiser to join our team. As a key part of our fundraising efforts in our high-performing East region, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives to increase our profile and supporter base within Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate income across a range of community fundraising initiatives and events, with the opportunity to lead on key projects
- Steward supporters to help drive the charity’s fundraising activities and growth
- Work with the fundraising team to develop and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers, donors, partners, and key stakeholders
- Contribute towards the growth and success of fundraising efforts, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the vital ongoing funding of brain tumour research
Requirements:
- At least one year of fundraising experience, with a proven track record in income generation
- Strong experience in supporter stewardship
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire supporters and partners alike
- Passion for Brain Tumour Research and its mission to fund research and ultimately find a cure

Director of Relationship Fundraising

We are looking for an experienced fundraising leader to become their new Director of Relationship Fundraising. This is a wonderful opportunity for a practising Christian to shape and scale high-impact relational fundraising. You will lead and integrate Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations, and Legacy giving into a high-performing team, driving income beyond £10 million annually.
You’ll champion innovation, and personally steward ultra-high-net-worth donors while ensuring data-driven, replicable fundraising models. As a strategic and relational leader, you’ll bring operational excellence, spiritual maturity, and a coaching mindset to a dynamic, growing team.
Externally, you’ll be a visible ambassador, inspiring partners, representing World Vision UK at key events, and engaging with supporters. Internally, you’ll work cross-functionally to embed relationship fundraising into a multi-channel strategy that delivers exceptional supporter experiences.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven track record of leading and scaling high-value fundraising programmes (philanthropy, legacies, and/or trusts & foundations), ideally within a complex or global organisation.
- Demonstrable success in delivering sustainable, multi-million-pound income growth through relationship fundraising.
- Experience of managing and coaching high-performing teams, with the ability to embed accountability, ownership, and development at all levels.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, capable of delivering results in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.

As a Campaigns and Student Engagement Coordinator you will be a crucial part of our student voice team. Aston-Mansfield is a charity with a rich history of supporting children, young people, and families in East London since 1884. Based in Manor Park, the organisation focuses on four key areas: children and families, youth empowerment, mental health and well-being, and community development.
Our work with young people includes training workshops, mentoring, youth-led heritage programmes, and other initiatives that help young people build confidence, develop decision-making skills, foster social inclusion, and improve well-being. We are passionate about amplifying youth voices, encouraging young people to join our board as Young Trustees and take on paid Young Facilitator roles to develop their leadership and delivery skills.
Our two most current young adult programmes include: The Heritage Lottery programme second year delivery:
New Voices for Old Stories is our youth-led heritage project which supports young people in investigating our heritage and the heritage of the area and reframing old stories from the past 100 years into new voices.
Newly funded Reaching Communities programme:
Breaking Boundaries Collective: Aims to reduce loneliness and isolation and build stronger relationships across different communities. At the same time, the project will focus on increasing the social mobility of young people from disadvantaged and low socioeconomic backgrounds. The role
We are excited to be recruiting for a Director of Finance and Resources to be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the financial management and HR functions within the Charity. Working closely with the CEO as a member of the Executive team, the post holder will act as a strategic advisor to the Trustee board.
Key elements of the role will include:
- Leading the financial planning, cashflow management, budgeting and cost control for the charity. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure timely financial reporting is completed including monthly management accounts and forecasts.
- Responsibility for the production of the annual Financial Statements and Trustee Annual Report.
- Acting as an advisor and coach to senior staff to support and improve financial literacy and decision making whilst leading the annual budgeting and business cycle.
- Providing effective leadership, direction and training to the Finance and HR teams, ensuring that Finance and HR strategies align with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee HR operations, developing and implementing people strategies and ensuring compliance with employment law.
The candidate we are looking for will have proven experience in a senior level finance role, preferably within the voluntary sector. They will also have experience of leading an HR team with a proven ability to drive strategic HR initiatives.
Candidates should have excellent planning, communication and organisation skills and be able to effectively balance a substantial workload ranging from day-to-day tasks to strategic thinking.

Key responsibilities

The Charity
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
The Opportunity
James’ Place has huge ambitions to grow to reach more men in suicidal crisis. We are seeking an experienced fundraising manager to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Trusts and Statutory is a crucial, high-performing and mature income stream for James’ Place. In this Fixed Term Contract, the postholder will be care-taking as well as continuing to grow income and help the team to finalise our current fundraising appeal. The organisation has recently invested in a new Executive Leadership Team to drive forward the development of our new strategy, so there is a real opportunity for this postholder to contribute to this process.
The purpose of this role is to raise funds for James’ Place:
- working with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to deliver the expansion appeal; and
- taking overall responsibility for building the relationships with and securing income from Trusts and Statutory sources to realise our aim to deliver more life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis nationally.

Key Responsibilities
80% Direct fundraising work:
- Responsible for a portfolio of donors, volunteers and prospects and an annual fundraising target of c. £750,000 - £1,000,000 from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
- Build a network of donors and volunteer supporters and influencers across a range of audiences, maintaining and developing relationships, who can support your fundraising.
- Work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications on the national appeal and other central fundraising work. This will include attending events and writing major grant applications and other proposals.
- Support the Head of Fundraising and Communications to maximise opportunities through the Appeal Board.
- Manage engagement and fundraising events to support the organisation’s fundraising ambitions.
- Build compelling cases for James’ Place projects to put to prospective and existing funders, ensuring accurate financial information is presented clearly.
20% Fundraising administration:

About the role
The Head of Income Generation and Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sustainability and social impact of our organisation. The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact
Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.
We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. What you’ll do
- Design and manage a data warehouse to support analysis of our listener services
- Build data pipelines and transform data for actionable insights using analytical techniques
- Coordinate the use of data to inform service improvement
- Support colleagues to use and present data confidently and clearly

- Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Advise senior leaders, enabling them to make data-informed decisions
What you’ll bring
- A degree in a mathematical, scientific or computing subject (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a data engineering or senior data analyst role
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud systems
- Proficiency in Python, R or other analytical programming language
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

This is an exciting new role with the UK’s leading public mental health charity. The Head of Research role is a fantastic opportunity to lead our UK research team to achieve social change. We are looking for research and management expertise, strategic thinking, operational delivery, and the ability to collaborate and communicate with a range of stakeholders including media, academics, policymakers and communities. You will be part of an outstanding leadership team committed to delivering change across the UK. The role will deliver our UK-wide research, reporting to the Director of Research & Lived Experience.
