Role Description
We are looking for a Corporate Engagement Officer to support on Veganuary’s work with established companies in the food sector in the UK and abroad. You will work closely with our International Corporate Engagement Management in the UK and provide project management support on an international level, working closely with our teams in Germany, the US, India and Latin America. We are looking for someone who is an experienced project manager, extremely organised, and a well-versed, skilled communicator. You will bring experience and knowledge of the UK food sector, especially retail, foodservice and the restaurant sector. You will play a crucial role in Veganuary’s work in encouraging and convincing companies to increase their vegan offerings, as well as encouraging workplaces to join the challenge and increase vegan offerings in their cafeterias.
Core Responsibilities:

Facilitate effective communication between our corporate engagement departments in different countries through the organisation of our international bi-weekly corporate calls, the set-up of our international Asana projects and the adaptation of our materials and resources to different country contexts.

Facilitate the evaluation and tracking processes on an international level by coordinating the set-up and completion of our “corporate tracker” via Excel, as well as supporting the data management through our database on Salesforce

With the support of the International Corporate Engagement Manager, identify, support and encourage businesses (mostly, but not exclusively from the food industry) to increase their provision of plant-based products and menu items, as well as promoting veganism and Veganuary

Liaise with businesses to keep their information about plant-based offerings through our channels up-to-date and facilitate joined news releases

Support on various projects within our UK based corporate engagement department

Identify, support and encourage businesses to take part in the Veganuary Workplace Challenge in the UK

Host corporate meetings or webinars and prepare presentations for stakeholders

Person Specification:

Proven relevant experience in a similar role at officer, coordinator or administrative level (for example in corporate affairs/account management/outreach/engagement, brand marketing, project management, operations)

A good understanding of the operating environment of the food sector and corporates within it

Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role
As Research and Partnerships Officer you will be responsible for processing all research funding applications in line with myaware’s research funding policy. Working closely with the CEO, myaware medical/scientific committee and our legal team to ensure completion of all necessary legal requirements. We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. The role and your key responsibilities
As HE Partnerships Manager, your role is to grow our university partner numbers and support our existing university partners to get the most out of their partnership with us. A fundamental element of our work with universities is to make sure they’re adding genuine value to our student and teacher community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Make sales to universities around the world
You’ll set up and conduct meetings with university staff in which you’ll listen to their needs, communicate our mission to them, demonstrate our offering, and seek to secure the university’s ongoing subscription.

- Insights reporting
Our Insights dashboard and reports use aggregated data from the Unifrog platform to uncover trends at subject and regional levels, and are designed to inform universities’ marketing, recruitment and portfolio planning. You’ll consult with partner universities to help them get the most out of their Insights dashboard, present reports to them, and identify potential upsell opportunities.

Role outline and purpose
The Corporate Partnerships Executive will support the Account Management team within Corporate Partnerships in the delivery of fundraising partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships Executive is responsible for establishing, managing and growing sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships which deliver income, access to expertise and resource, and who’s influence supports the Trussell Trust in achieving our aim to end the need for food banks in the UK.
Role responsibilities
- Provide day to day relationship management of a portfolio of small accounts, ensuring that all activities comply with applicable law and the Code of Fundraising Practice and that the Trussell Trust’s obligations to partners are met, whilst respecting the dignity of the people we serve and support.
- Provide support to the Account Management team to provide thank you letters, impact reports, administer payments, and ensure records are kept up to date on Salesforce.

Our rapidly growing portfolio of international work means we have a newly created role as a Partnership Manager, initially for a 1 year FTC with the potential to go permanent. You’ll be part of our Business Development team and focus on ensuring we have the right partnerships in place to provide the local expertise within Africa as well as building global joint partnerships and consortiums for new and up and coming projects.
You’ll be the prime point of contact for our international partners, keeping them engaged in our work and supporting on a range of business development and partnerships management activities to proactively secure new business and grow our impact.
Requirements
- degree or experience of working in international education, international development or partnerships management
- experience in a business development role
- experience in developing and delivering strategies to manage important relationships
- demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- ability to work on own initiative and as part of a remote, virtual team
You may have held other similar roles such as a partnership manager within research, education or charity sector, or have been a relationship manager or account manager in a similar industry, you may even have a background as an influencer, advocate of fundraiser within the charity sector looking to take your relationship skills to the next level.

About the role
The Head of Partnerships is a new and critical role, created as part of our merger with the YMCA George Williams College. We hope the merger will see our quality improvement and training work grow, alongside extending our communities of practice and our offer to them. As such, we created a dedicated post to hold, nurture and grow our approach to working with and through networks, and to oversee our partnership projects.
Networks have long been at the heart of the Centre for Youth Impact’s approach. Built over the last eight years, we deeply value our relationships with our Regional Impact Networks across England, and are excited by the emergence of new relationships in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland – and indeed internationally, particularly building on the legacy of the College. There is now the opportunity to revisit our approach to working with and through networks, particularly in developing a more responsive and ‘tiered’ offer that reflects and responds to the needs, ambitions, and experiences of our different stakeholders.
The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for implementing a new network strategy, strengthening these relationships (including transitioning existing network leads to potentially new ways of working), and framing the support that we offer to network ‘members’ across the UK (further details on our existing networks can be found here). This will include scoping, defining and implementing our approach to supporting/collaborating with members of the YMCA Federation in England and Wales alongside building relationships with the Federations in Scotland and the island of Ireland, as part of the merger with YMCA George Williams College. There is also the potential to work closely with the Director of Strategy and Learning to consider new international learning partnerships.
Over the past few years in particular, the Centre has been increasing its partnership projects: significant programmes of work with one major partner or funder, including cohort-level evaluation, capacity building and learning partnerships.The Head of Partnerships will also manage a range of partnership projects, working alongside other members of the team to initiate, design, and deliver cutting-edge programmes of work. The post-holder will work closely with the Director of Programmes and Director of Strategy and Learning to ensure that we are integrating our learning from our networks into our wider strategy and programmes of work focused on research, evaluation, and organisational learning.
The Head of Partnerships will play a strong role in supporting income generation, particularly for our network support activities. The post holder will also contribute significantly to our communications activities, amplifying the work and voices of our networks, and offering our platform in contribution to greater collective impact.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is imaginative and responsive, with strong interest and high-level skills in building alliances and collaborations, alongside capacity building for social sector organisations. You will need to have an appetite for understanding and navigating complexity, with an inquisitive mind and interest in youth-focused public policy and system dynamics. An interest and solid understanding of evaluation would be a distinct plus. You will also need to be a strong and confident project manager, with exceptional relationship skills. We take a coaching approach to all of our work, so skills and experience in this area will be a distinct advantage.
You will have the ability to engage with humility and authenticity with a wide range of people and organisations working to support young people. You will be able to spot and make connections between relationships and areas of work and be alive to changes and patterns in the external policy and practice context and the opportunities they present for our charity.
Finally, you will be a skilled facilitator, experienced in both designing and delivering workshops and training. You will also be a compelling and confident writer and presenter who can communicate the breadth of our work. You will be comfortable representing us externally and acting as a ‘thought leader’: openly reflecting the evolution of your ideas and thinking, and generously sharing your learning with others.

Working within the Charity Services Team, the new Corporate Fundraiser will work collaboratively on joint funding approaches for potential corporate partners. You will develop and implement a proactive fundraising strategy with the aim of maximising income for the charity whilst achieving annual fundraising targets. The successful candidate will identify and pursue gift in kind opportunities and negotiate contracts which ensure mutually beneficial arrangements with Age Scotland’s corporate partners.
Age Scotland’s new Corporate Fundraiser will have a proven track record of securing income, generating new business and maintaining strong corporate relationships. The right candidate for the role will also have a talent for writing engaging and impactful communications, and a passion for developing creative ideas to present to companies in support of the charities fundraising goals.
