Check my CVWe have an opportunity for a new team member to join us as a Community Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Officer; the successful applicant will have a background in marketing and strong IT skills, experience of community fundraising would also be desirable. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Yellow Submarine’s public presence and brand – this will include, but is not limited to, management of the charity’s digital content, print media and merchandise. You will be the first point of contact for new and existing fundraisers, building strong relationships across a variety of networks, helping to promote the charity and its aims.
The role involves frequent evening and weekend working to support community fundraising activities and events, and working hours are flexible to reflect this.
To act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity; building strong relationships across a variety of networks to support and develop the public presence ‘brand’ of the charity and community fundraising income.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check.

We are looking for a persuasive and relational professional to join our UK International Services team. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Senior Key Relationship Executive will initiate, develop, and manage high value relationships with major donors, presenting the needs of IFES in a compelling way to ensure effective engagement. This role oversees the creation of personalized donor development plans with individual monetary goals and specific steps to engage donors based on their values and passions. The postholder will ensure that all research and data on major donors is kept updated.
The Senior Key Relationship Executive will be diplomatic, persuasive, and credible at a senior level, with experience of managing relationships at senior or Board level within the charity or corporate sector. The successful candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanour that motivates and inspires confidence with colleagues and major donors. In addition to being an excellent communicator and relationship builder, they will have strong analytical and research skills to identify prospects in giving and match the donor’s interest with a suitable IFES project. The successful candidate will be able to manage a complex workload and be comfortable monitoring and compiling data to develop metrics for reporting and strategic decision-making. They will be able to collaborate with senior staff, the Board, and volunteers and will be sensitive to working with people from different contexts within an interdenominational Christian organisation.

We are looking for a dynamic, organised person who shares our enthusiasm for distributing food surplus and educating people about the environmental impact of food waste.
Oxford Food Hub is at the centre of surplus food redistribution in Oxfordshire, tackling food poverty and keeping food out of landfill. Since 2009 we have been collecting surplus fresh and ambient food from a wide range of wholesalers and retailers, then distributing it free of charge to over 150 charities and community groups in and around Oxford.
We are passionate about preventing food waste and nourishing the local community, and we have an ambitious plan to expand our Outreach and Education program. We need a hardworking, enthusiastic candidate who will take the initiative, occupying a varied role at the centre of a small team.
You will be responsible for daily administration within the Hub office, being the key contact for our charity partners, donors and members of the public. You will maximise the potential of our existing CRM system to engage with private donors, corporate sponsors and other supporters. You will research and develop new partnerships with food suppliers and charities, expanding our network and supporting staff and volunteers to collect and deliver surplus food. And you will develop our Outreach program, reaching out to schools and other groups to share our message about waste reduction in the local community and beyond.
As Administration/Outreach Coordinator you will work with, and report to, the Manager, liaising with staff, volunteers and our Board of Trustees.
Responsibilities (in cooperation with the Manager) include:
• Education program: expand existing program, giving talks to students and other interested groups. Produce educational material for website
• Supplier liaison: maintain existing relationships, research sources of food surplus, liaise with other food hubs
• Donor liaison: cultivate relationships with existing donors through our CRM system (Blackbaud eTapestry), compile e-newsletter, and develop community outreach to engage new supporters.
• Events and festivals: manage bookings, risk assessments, ticketing, volunteer schedule and surplus food collections. Run event and onsite participation
• Customer service: first point of contact via website and phones, respond to food donation enquiries, fundraising enquiries, liaison with community groups
• Financial administration: to include Gift Aid submission, monthly donation reports and other basic financial tasks
• General management: oversee day-to-day office activities, and any other tasks in coordination with the Manager
• Social media: manage our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
The successful Administration/Outreach Coordinator will have:
Essential
• a clear understanding of, and commitment to, the aims of the Oxford Food Hub
• the ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy and fast-moving environment

Basic Function
The Fundraising and Communications Officer main function will be to maximise income generation via community fundraising and profile raising and to develop and deliver an effective community fundraising plan. The role will involve the on-going creation and evaluation of marketing and communication activities to maximise opportunities for promoting the charity and build links with potential and existing supporters, including volunteers. This role requires creativity, an entrepreneurial outlook and the ability to develop high quality communications, including plans, materials and messages for all fundraising activities, in order to increase support for Buckinghamshire Mind.
Fundraising: Main Responsibilities
- To develop and deliver a community fundraising plan to achieve an agreed income generation target.
- To identify and profile grant making organisations and corporate bodies with the potential of supporting our work.
- To assist with developing effective and well‐targeted appeals aimed at trusts, corporate bodies and supporters in order to raise funds for Buckinghamshire Mind.
- To plan and deliver a calendar of fundraising events.
- To manage the stewardship of individual, corporate and community group fundraisers.
- To work closely and pro‐actively with the Chief Executive to source information in order to develop high quality funding applications.
Communications and profile building: Main Responsibilities
- To act as a point of contact within the organisation for the promotion of Buckinghamshire Mind’s services and recruitment of volunteers.
- To manage all public relations and monitor the results.
- To utilise technologies and channels such as e-newsletter, social media, video, blog and podcast to creatively communicate with Bucks Mind stakeholders and supporters.
- To keep the Bucks Mind website up-to-date regularly.
- To communicate with supporters through our existing external social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- To assist in the development and distribution of e‐newsletters, printed communications and annual reviews to Bucks Mind supporters.
