About the Role
The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations.
A key deliverable of this role is also overseeing our invoicing processes. You’ll be responsible for performing bi-weekly checks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and cookery class teachers (Chefs), and supporting improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes. Your work will directly impact the financial clarity and efficiency of our operations, making this a crucial responsibility within the team.

Main Duties and Responsilbilties
Community and Events Fundraising
• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.
Supporter Care
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.
• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.
• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
Administrative and Financial Support
• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.
• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.
• Overseeing our online shop.
Marketing and Communication
• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.
• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.
• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration

Additional Information
Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. Exact working pattern to be discussed at the interview stage.
One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.
A full driving licence or the ability to travel to events and meetings within London and the South East is essential.

You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. - WordPress back-end and front-end knowledge and skills
- Technically-able with experience using newsletter software such as Mailchimp, as well as generally being proficient using a range of digital tools and software.
- Proficient in basic graphic design and layout using InDesign or equivalent
- Strong written English and editing skills with high attention to grammar, style and brand tone
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and deliver a communications strategy
- Organised and self-motivated, with excellent planning and time management
- Confident interpreting and using digital analytics to inform decisions
- Collaborative, with excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Desirable Skills
- Website maintenance, updating plug-ins and modules when needed, ensuring the site is running as smoothly as possible, and fix any bugs –
- Support ad hoc visual content needs including simple graphics and formatted reports using InDesign or similar
- Familiarity with the voluntary or social impact sector
- Experience designing content for campaigns, newsletters or public-facing reports
- Interest in community development, employment or corporate social responsibility
- Knowledge of brand management principles and visual identity design
