Key responsibilities
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the counselling service, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with organisational strategy.

• Ensure the service complies with ethical and clinical standards.
• Develop and manage annual budget and plans, setting measurable KPIs, and monitoring performance.
• Develop strong working relationships across the organisation, supporting the work of the Comms & Growth team as needed.
• Line-manage counselling staff, overseeing recruitment, induction, appraisals, and ongoing professional development and ensure they have access to appropriate clinical supervision.
• Maintain clinical governance standards, manage risks, and act as the Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
• Oversee data collection, monitor clinical outcomes, and implement service improvements based on feedback and audits.
• Stay up to date with relevant legislation, professional guidance and sector trends.

Centre 33 offers a free and confidential counselling service to young people aged 13-25, living in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. We have a team of volunteer counsellors / therapists, from a range of modalities and backgrounds, some of whom are on clinical placement and others fully qualified. We also have a substantial team of Mental Health & Counselling Project Workers who are qualified to a minimum of Level 4 and support young people experiencing a range of difficulties, including more complex presentations that sit outside of the statutory offer. Case work includes ongoing counselling (in person, telephone and Zoom)- applying a short term model of 6 sessions (with option to extend to 12 in specific cases) alongside assessment and a ‘single session thinking’ approach.
Young people can access our counselling provision via our ‘Someone to Talk to Service’ which offers a ‘drop in’ triage to gain a holistic understanding of needs prior to joining a waiting list for intervention. Centre 33 also sits within the ‘YOUnited’ partnership- a single point of access for professional referrals where we work closely with CPFT, CCS and Ormiston Families to ensure needs are meet by the appropriate service.
In addition to the counselling service, we have other front line teams holding complex case work of young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Clinical Supervisor Role Description
Centre 33’s Clinical Supervisors are self-employed consultants, remunerated on an hourly basis for their work with us.
Principle Duties
The supervisor’s primary responsibility is to provide supervisees with professional consultancy for their work. Supervisors are expected to:
Offer regular fortnightly supervision to counsellors - a total of approx. 20 hours per year per counsellor.
Oversee the professional integrity of the work the counsellor is doing. ·
Be a resource for the professional development of the counsellor and to identify training needs for individual counsellors or the group as a whole. ·
Take part in six month probationary review of new counsellors and annual appraisal of counsellors. ·
Engage in annual 121 meetings with Clinical Lead to review supervisory practice.
Keep professional boundaries about confidentiality appropriately within Centre 33 and outside it, and assist the counsellor to do so too.
Be familiar with and act within the policies, guidelines and ethos of Centre 33 and the BACP code of ethics & practice, and to support the counsellor to do the same.
Be available to counsellors in crisis work, if required.
Liaise regularly with the MH&C Senior/Team Leads/Clinical leads and inform them of any concerns (s)he may have about the supervisee's competence, engagement or professionalism.
Attend bi- monthly Supervisors’ meetings and feedback on processes and policies Centre 33 develops in relation the Mental Health and Counselling work · Ensure that all supervisory administration is undertaken as appropriate
Ensure their own supervision, professional development, accreditation or professional registration requirements are fulfilled with particular focus in remaining updated on themes effecting clients in the C33 age range.
Maintain excellent standards of communication and organisation around sessions. Ensure supervision sessions are scheduled in a clear and timely manner and cancellations, absences and annual leave are communicated appropriately to both supervisee and Clinical Lead.
Be open to offer supervision where deemed appropriate to non-clinical staff either on ad-hoc single session or ongoing basis.

The Role

The Scientific Communications and Content Assistant will support us to deliver our scientific communications strategy by helping to draft, design and publish engaging content for our print and digital platforms. The role will report to our Scientific Communications and Outreach Manager and work closely with the Public Affairs Lead and other internal teams to create engaging content for our audiences. About this exciting opportunity
This pivotal role will see you referring clients, with reference to St Giles Trust/Rescue and Response assessment practices. You will also need to produce support plans and risk management and planning process, and to include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service.
You will also deliver a holistic support service, working independently or with colleagues, which will include providing social and housing support, education, training and employment options, benefits work, debt advice, and appearing in court. 2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite

- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person

- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.
This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.
You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.
Main duties:

- To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location: Flexible - Mainly home working with regular travel to areas of service delivery, and regular travel to 2wish Head Office in South Wales.

This is what we're looking for:
Knowledge
- Knowledge of EPOS / Till systems or Cashier training.
- Ability to proficiently use industry standard IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, Internet etc) to a basic level.
- Willingness to undertake training and continuing professional development.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent literacy and numericity skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to coordinate a variety of tasks.

- Experience at management level within a similar retail environment and comparable turnover.
- Proven management experience and ability to influence, engage and motivate stakeholders.

This is what you'll be doing:
- Lead the delivery and expansion of a successful trolley services across South Wales.
- Manage the recruitment of volunteers to lead trolley services.
- Engage, motivate and coordinate your team of volunteers to ensure reliable and consistent trolley services.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with various NHS Trusts to operate, promote and develop trolley services.
- Ensure that volunteers and trolley services comply with associated statutory standards policies and procedures e.g. Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Data Protection, Financial controls and other operating policies and procedures.
- Deliver trolley services in line with agreed Profit and Loss budget, monitoring performance regularly in order to flex costs in line with turnover performance.
- Manage stock, pricing, cash handing and baking in accordance with RVS policy and procedures.
- Report, monitor, evaluate and feedback to identify opportunities to drive sales and improve trolley service and volunteering efficiency.
- Utilise systems and management reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement across your services, implementing the changes through your team
- Complete regular competitor visits to identify trends and opportunities taking appropriate action locally whilst giving feedback to the Retail Support team through your Area Manager.
- Work flexible hours to fit with the trading hours of the trolley service.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the purpose and remit of the role.

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.
