Teaching Resources at Unifrog
One of the most important parts of Unifrog is a searchable library of hundreds of teaching resources, covering careers guidance, progression, SEL, and PSHE.
Each week the lessons are used by tens of thousands of teachers in the UK and around the world.
We aim for our lessons to be plug-and-play, to be truly educational, to make it easy for schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform, and to be fun even when they deal with difficult subjects. We always try to make the learning as active as possible.
In December 2023, we launched our Courses tool. Students can browse and take short online courses in a range of engaging and challenging topic areas, many of which are created in partnership with universities and employers.
We create courses that fit into five main strands:

‘Careers in…’ courses introduce students to a career sector and spotlight a few specific roles within the sector, e.g. ‘Careers in art’.

University subject tasters give students an idea of what studying a particular university subject is like, e.g. ‘The complicated reality of criminology’.

Life skills courses help students prepare for life after school/college, e.g. ‘Preparing for the workplace’.

Virtual work experience courses combine a series of work-based tasks and live webinars with an employer, e.g. ‘Virtual work experience with the BBC’.

Teacher/counselor courses help staff members in various roles get the most out of the Unifrog platform.

In the Teaching Resources team, we commonly brainstorm new ideas as a group, share insights from our own teaching experiences, provide feedback on other team members’ work, and get feedback from teachers and students at our partner schools.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual with strong project management skills to lead the delivery of the training function within the BSI. Reporting directly to the Director of Events and Training, and in collaboration with the wider BSI team, the Training Manager will be responsible for the delivery of existing training programmes and for devising, setting up and rolling out new training courses by working with BSI members to develop content and curricula, utilising different platforms from face-to-face to remote learning and supporting marketing of the courses to relevant sectors.

This role is key to ensuring the Army Cadets can deliver excellent quality course materials and the training cycle is compliant with MOD and/or awarding body requirements.
This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be home-based. However, some travel to Aldershot and London to attend meetings will be required. The starting salary for the post will be £28,808.00 per annum.

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. As testament to its’ success and in response to huge need, IKWRO has expanded and now provides unique and vital support for women and girls from all Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan (MENA) communities who are at risk of “honour” based violence, child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of gender violence.
IKWRO provides direct services including advocacy and professional counselling. IKWRO opened the UK’s first specialist Middle Eastern women’s refuge. IKWRO is regularly called upon to share expertise with government, academics, and media and to train professionals from bodies such as the police, social services and schools.
IKWRO has led the recognition of “honour” based abuse and “honour” killing as forms of violence against women and girls. Campaign successes include; the first extradition from Kurdistan-Iraq to the UK of perpetrators of “honour” killing of Banaz Mahmod, the UK’s criminalisation of forced marriage, child marriage, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, as well as the first ever national inspection of policing of “honour” based violence.
The post-holder will help Arabic speaking women who have experienced Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and “Honour” Based Violence. Working in a confidential setting, counsellors listen attentively to their clients and offer them the time, empathy and respect they need to express their own feelings, to help them overcome their problems and to make appropriate changes to their life.
The post holder must be BACP or UKCP accredited (or equivalent e.g. HCPC) or training to achieve these accreditation.
The above post is open to women only and are exempt under the Sex Discrimination Act 7(2) (d) and (e) and the Race Relations Act 5(2) (d) 1976. No agencies please.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients;

The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We will also welcome input on stewardship of trusts and foundations if this is also your area of expertise.
We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual giving.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.
We have an office in central London but the job can be done remotely with occasional meetings with the General Manager, either in person or virtually.

Main goal: To launch our 45th anniversary year development appeal and manage fund raising through individual giving, Friends memberships and legacy donations and pledges, growing our charitable income in line with our strategy.
About this role:
The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:
INDIVIDUAL GIVING
· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive
· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors
· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors
· Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors
· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues
· Plan and help organise membership events for donors
· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus
· Have overall responsibility for reaching individual giving targets
· Ensure that data is accurately kept in our database in line with GDPR, and is harnessed to support our fundraising efforts
STRATEGIC PLANNING & REPORTING
· Develop a five-year Fundraising Strategy
· Set ambitious but achievable targets for each year, within the overall Rodolfus budget
· Contribute new ideas and find new opportunities for fundraising
· Produce quarterly fundraising updates for the Trustees
· Produce a fundraising report for the annual accounts, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development in the Fundraising Strategy
TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES
· Liaise with the General Manager to ensure a coordinated fundraising plan and targets, in keeping with the artistic vision for Rodolfus
· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)
GENERAL
· Attend Team and Board meetings as required
· Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus
· Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures
· Create a positive work environment, underpinned by the organisation’s values

Redemption Roasters Barista Trainer
Role summary:
To deliver barista training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview. The goal of the training is to prepare residents for employment in hospitality on release.
Overview:
Redemption Roasters is looking to appoint a skilled and passionate barista to deliver training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview. Both prisons are located in Sutton. The training will be delivered to small groups of prison residents who are looking to learn a new skill and are interested in a career in hospitality on release. The successful applicant will be offered comprehensive on-boarding training, with opportunities to shadow experienced trainers.
Duties:
- Deliver a tried and tested Redemption Roasters barista training course, including espresso preparation, milk steaming technique and pouring, alternative brewing methods, cleaning equipment, and basic grinder and machine maintenance.
- Liaise with prison staff, including the Prison Employment Lead and Activities Manager, to ensure courses are well-attended.
- Act as a positive role model for course participants and encourage participants to grow outside of their comfort zones whilst respecting professional boundaries.
- Conduct basic assessments during the course, coordinate the completion of feedback forms, and track learner journeys, in line with the guidance given by the prisons.
- Provide one-to-one support to facilitate sustainable employment for interested participants on their release.
- Deliver additional training to participants as is required; this would typically be in Redemption Roasters 13 coffee shops.
- Other ad-hoc tasks to support the smooth running of the programme in HMP High Down, HMP Downview and wider success of the Impact team at Redemption Roasters.
Schedule:
- On joining the team, the Barista Trainer will complete a minimum of three-weeks of on-boarding training. This will include an induction to HMP High Down and HMP Downview and shadowing experienced Redemption Roasters trainers in a prison environment.
- During a 12 month period, the Barista Trainer will deliver 7 three-week courses in HMP High Down and 6 one week courses in HMP Downview.
- During training delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will typically be based in prison Monday - Thursday (with the Trainer arriving at the prison for 8am), with Fridays in the Redemption Roasters HQ in Kings X, London.
- During non-delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will visit the prisons to support course recruitment (usually one day a week), as well as delivering one-to-one support and ‘top up’ training to participants working across the Redemption Roasters coffee shops.
Personal specification:
Essential
- 2+ years' experience as a barista and/or barista training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Empathetic and kind, with a strong belief in the Redemption Roasters mission

- SCA Certifications
- Experience working with vulnerable people

Job description
Delivery and line management
- To assist in the delivery of practical dance and performance skills classes as and when required.
- To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), mentoring and confidence building
- Completing appropriate action plans and reviews with participants
- To act as the single point of contact for small caseload of participants
- Complete marking of learner portfolios and reviews in a timely manner, ensuring high quality assurance standards
- To identify suitable referral partners i.e. universities, colleges, established networks, dance and community organisations from which to recruit course participants
- To communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients and team members
- To confidently deliver high quality teaching, information, advice and guidance
- To efficiently complete relevant paperwork, ensuring that accurate records are kept
Development of training materials and delivery
- To develop lesson plans, schemes of work and learner timetables that support delivery of the outcomes
- To provide resources relevant to individual courses
- To ensure that accurate records are kept for all sessions with appropriate sheets signed and stored
- To assist in the development of training materials to support the delivery
- To use available networks to recruit course participants from appropriate organisations

Person Specification (skills knowledge and experience required)

- Competent practical skills and/or experience as a performance artist. Dance conservatoire training, University education or equivalent with at least 3 years' experience.
- Practical experience of having worked within the creative industries and an understanding of the challenges faced by those either entering or transitioning within the creative sector.
- Some experience of working ( in a formal or informal capacity) with adults or young people aiming to access employment in the creative industries or wishing to retrain, would be an advantage.
- Existing networks which can be utilised to enable you to meet your targets in relation to recruitments and progression routes. Ability to develop networks in support of organisational goals
- Good IT skills and the ability to produce professional presentations and training materials
- Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Experience of designing content across various social media platforms and knowledge to be able to implement this in a work environment to promote the work of the projects
- Ability to work to tight deadline and targets
- Able to create engaging and motivating training materials
- High standard of organisation, written and oral communications skills
- Good understanding of the social and educational issues relating to a multi-cultural cohort and how this relates to learners

The Director role has responsibility for the promotion, implementation, sustainability of, and reporting for the Changemakers programme. The essential requirements are leadership of an organisation with an education, charitable or community setting; ideally to have extensive operational programme and line management experience within the education or charitable sector; evidence of strategic thinking and business planning; evidence of delivering and or managing the delivery of events.
