About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Global Mission, this focal coordinating role within our Global Mission Team (GMT) will ensure the effective functioning of the GMT by offering:

• Administrative support to the Director

The Head of Finance will lead on budgeting, financial management and reporting and work closely with the Chief Executive to provide effective financial direction to the Treasurer and the Board of Trustees.

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the financial planning cycles, governance, and management reporting process as well as managing relationships with external stakeholders/advisers ensuring value for money, contractual compliance, evaluation and quality assurance processes.

With prior experience of working with charities’ accounts as well as experience of Sage accounting system used at the BDA, you will manage the Finance team and provide excellent business service and support to circa 28 staff across the UK.

As a bilingual organisation with a working language of British Sign Language (BSL) and English, we will provide BSL training for the successful candidate.

We are seeking an organised, proactive and diligent Membership and Engagement Coordinator to lead on the administrative support for our members and the wider Engagement team. The post holder will be responsible for providing a seamless experience for members wanting to join the ESU or for those renewing their membership. The Membership and Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing relationships with members and branch chairs, finding ways to involve members in the work of the ESU and maintaining oversight of the organisation’s CRM. The post holder will also help support the ESU’s events and international work.

· Support the Membership Manager to implement a new recruitment strategy to grow ESU membership in agreed target audiences

· Work with the Membership Manager to ensure a straightforward renewals process, this includes sending email and postal renewal communications, updating lapsed memberships and taking credit and debit card payments.

· Assemble and dispatch Welcome Packs to new members.

· Act as the first point of contact for current and prospective members and assist with their queries.

About the Role

We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our art studio team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre in Haggerston.

You will take responsibility for organising and delivering activities in the Submit to Love art studio, such as supporting members in creating new artworks, planning and delivering events and outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to their needs and interests.

The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 12 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Activities in the art studio:

•  Support members to engage creatively and develop their personal artistic practise.
• Work alongside the studio manager, day service members and volunteers to plan and deliver events, including artist led workshops, exhibitions and open studios.
•  Plan trips to cultural events and experiences.

Key working:

• Act as key worker for up to 16 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk assessments.

Day Service co-ordination:

• Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
• Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
• Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the volunteer co-ordinator to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Partnerships Officer that wants to maximise fundraising opportunities with existing partners through excellent account management and also enjoys new business and converting leads to new partnerships. This role will be split with 60% of your time allocated to Account Management and 40% to New Business.  

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of managing and growing fundraising partnerships, as well as experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities, contribute to a prospect pipeline and meet deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
• Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
• Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
• Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.
• Maintain robust account growth plans, update pipelines and stakeholder mapping for your partners.
• Produce high quality communications, reports, propositions and pitches for partnerships - delivering excellent account management through the highest levels of supporter centred stewardship.
• Ensure we maximise the skills and experience of corporate partners through pro-bono, value-in-kind and volunteering support.

New Business

• Proactively approaching corporate opportunities following our new business strategy, writing funding proposals and approaching community groups for new partnerships
• Responding to volunteer enquiries from companies who want to work with FareShare and converting enquiries to new business leads when viable
• Contribute to the fundraising team new business pipeline
• Maintaining accurate cultivation plans and reporting for new business approaches
• Working with the FareShare food, volunteering and marketing teams to identify new fundraising opportunities 

Communication and Administration

• Develop PR and communication plans for corporate partners, working in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage the general administration and accurate data management for your partners.
• Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
• Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.
• Contribute to the wider success of the fundraising team through supporting colleagues, celebrating successes and sharing learnings.
• Efficient and effective management of income ensuring compliance with GDPR, charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy
• With support from colleagues manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements

• Work within legal and charity guidelines 
• Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines 
• Represent Fundraising where required on internal working groups 
• Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Children and Family Worker to join the team in our West London Women's refuge. The service is a refuge accommodation for women and children surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma. we are looking for someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children.

As a Children and Family worker, you will support in providing a much needed safe and nurturing environment for children and their mother's, providing pathways, support and appropriate interventions to enable resettlement. You will support various teams to co-produce a tailored support plan which is altered to the individual's needs through a recovery model providing trauma informed and enabling environments to achieve this. 

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, working on a rota which is over 7 days including evenings. You will be based on site within the service.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Children and Family Relationships

• Provide parenting advice to support mothers and their families.
• Provide stimulating play opportunities to encourage children from all backgrounds to develop and express themselves, as well as support the children with their general learning, homework, and literacy.
• Support with early learning development, supporting mothers through advice and activity packs which aid their children’s learning and development.
• Deliver family sessions to support contract orders by social services and other organisations, as well as to help rebuild relationships, life skills, confidence, reliance, self-esteem and manage trauma.
• Offer age-appropriate sessions to children to provide a safe, encouraging, and development led environment which provides meaningful and memorable experiences.
• Work with residents and their keyworkers to understand complex needs to help build children’s and their families lives.

Support Working

• Build and sustain trusting and respectful relationships with our residents, including children.
• Create a safe, stable, psychologically informed environment which is nurturing to children and families.
• Provide support for residents, contributing to the development of support plans, risk assessments, reviews, regular support sessions and other personal development activities.
• Support with reducing barriers to reintegrating into communities, and re-developing confidence, skills, and coping mechanisms to support those with previous trauma.
• Develop and sustain therapeutic relationships with our residents, providing practical and emotional support with a trauma informed approach to ensure they are always treated with respect and dignity. Deal with sensitive information in a professional manner.

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend appointments as and when required in support of residents.
• Undertake shift lead responsibilities on rotation, taking responsibility for ensuring day-to-day support delivery is effective, with staff carrying out their designated responsibilities, alongside ensuring resident and service-specific follow up actions are completed.
• Housing Management responsibilities, ensure residents and staff are safe, and the surroundings are kept clean and well maintained.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds
• Previous experience and/or in-depth knowledge about working with children who have experienced trauma
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding of the trauma children and families may go through due to domestic violence and other previous experiences
• Understanding of the social needs and support required for people with multiple and complex needs
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with various challenging backgrounds, mental health, addiction, exploitation, homelessness, and previous convictions

What we would like, but not essential:

• Previous experience creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care planning, providing appropriate interventions for service users
• Previous experience providing housing support and practical assistance within a residential support role
• Appropriate Professional Qualification in: Social Care, Early years Education, Certificate in Childcare or other relevant
• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice, and mental health
• Ability to Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis

About You:
