Key responsibilities:

• Lead the co-development of evidence-based policy positions with iHV’s clinical team, members and partners.

About you:

We are looking for the following essential skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of UK policy-making processes and child and family health/ early years policy – ideally informed by experience working within or closely with government or public sector organisations.

About the role:

At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, we are recruiting a Project Worker in our short-stay accommodation service in Gray’s Inn Road.

Gray’s Inn Road provides short-stay accommodation for 16 people, usually for three to six months. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, the service offers focused, trauma-informed support for people facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and contact with the criminal justice system. As a Project Worker, you’ll hold a caseload, complete in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and work alongside each person to develop practical life skills, confidence and clear pathways into longer-term housing and independence.

You’ll work in a psychologically informed and trauma-aware environment, alongside partners including Camden Routes off the Streets, Inroads, Connect Forward and the Adult Pathway. You’ll also contribute to the safe and effective running of the service, while being supported through reflective practice, high-quality training and clear development opportunities. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that believes rough sleeping should be rare, brief and not repeated, and that every person deserves the chance to move forward with confidence and hope.

Our next Finance Manager will take a lead role in all aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, reporting and payroll for a busy ~£1.8M turnover charity with over 50 staff. The role is based in Willesden, NW10 with some hybrid working after probation.

Job Description

Book-keeping:

·Overseeing a system using hard-copy files and Quickbooks Online

·Maintaining and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards

·Raising purchase orders

·Raising invoices and processing income

·Aged debtor management

·Apportioning overheads and central costs to projects

·Managing restricted funds

·Making payments online and occasional bank deposits

Payroll and staffing:

·Maintaining a system recording all aspects of staffing that impact payroll of a team around 50 people, including

• New starters, leavers and role changes
• Probation ending
• Sick pay
• Parental leave, carers leave etc
• Timesheets and accrued holiday for ‘As & When’ staff
• Staff loans

·Collaborating with an external payroll provider to ensure they have accurate and timely information

·Pension plan maintenance

·Health plan maintenance

·Making monthly salary payments

·HMRC payments

·Responding to ad-hoc queries around pay and benefits

Reporting:

·Monthly management accounts for Executive Director

• Profit & Loss
• Budget vs Actual
• Cashflow

·Bi-monthly reports for Trustee Board

• Budget vs Actual
• Written report explaining variance and anticipated changes

Budgeting:

·With Executive Director preparing a draft annual budget for presentation to and consideration by Trustee Board

·Presenting the agreed budget to Senior Staff, encouraging transparency and ownership for the financial performance of their areas of work

·Supporting with or leading on budget creation for funding bids

·Monitoring performance against budget closely, and liaising with senior staff when necessary

·With Office Manager supporting the process of tight budget control over expenditure such as utilities, building maintenance and training

Audit:

·Completing pre-audit checklist and information submission

·Ensuring online systems are up to date and ready for external auditor review

·Hosting Auditor in office and answering queries

Other:

·Contributing to strategy and business planning, ensuring that the financial position of the charity is considered and prioritised when planning for change

·Supporting the Company Secretary with Companies House and Charity Commission filings and reporting

·Supporting colleagues with the delivery of services in the building and activity participants in any way required

·We are proud to be a point of contact for people with a range of needs locally, so all staff contribute to answering phones, responding to queries and meeting visitors

·Any other tasks and duties as reasonably required in the role

Position: Digital Project Manager
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours a week
Contract: Fixed Term 12-month Maternity Cover
Location: Office-based in London, N4 with flexibility to work remotely
Salary: Starting from £45,226 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Salary Band and Job Family: Band 3, Profession/ Technical
You’ll start at our entry point salary of £45,226 per annum, increasing to £48,053 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £50,879 after a further 6 months.

About this job

We’re looking for a confident, skilled, and personable Digital Project Manager to help us deliver our ambitious roadmap of projects.

You’ll lead on the delivery digital, creative, UX, campaign and content-based projects. This’ll include everything from the digital and content elements of major campaigns, through to developing new digital tools or content to help people live well with MS.

You’ll thrive working with cross-organisational teams to deliver projects on time, to scope and within budget, using methodologies that best fit the challenge you’re trying to solve.

What you will do:

Some key responsibilities include:

• Lead digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within time, cost, risk, and quality parameters.
• Manage project plans, budgets, and risks, addressing and escalating changes and impacts on timelines and budgets promptly.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and develop communication plans to keep them and the organisation up to date with project progress and performance.
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of project metrics, ensuring variance and performance are reported to relevant stakeholders.
• Regularly report on project progress and performance, and conduct retrospectives to improve future processes.
• Help refine and evolve the project management methodology within the organisation, mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices in digital project delivery.
• Contribute to quarterly programme planning and alignment across projects.
• Examples of projects you could work on include our welfare campaign in relation to the government’s plans around PIP (Personal Independence Payment), Search engine optimisation initiative or annual winter fundraising appeal.
