As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other. You will enable partner networks and Viva to build, measure and learn together, evaluating the effectiveness of programmes and methodologies, adapting them to ensure desired impact is reached and sharing learning with each other and with other development partners.

You will also work to ensure all programmes funded by Viva are accountable, well-monitored and contribute to our learning environment with clear opportunities to learn and adapt throughout the programme delivery and reporting processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Shared leadership: You will contribute to strategic decision making as part of the Network Partnerships Leadership Team and be part of shaping the vision and practice of Viva as an organisation from a Christian faith perspective.
• Viva MEAL framework: You will develop and manage a robust MEAL Framework for Viva
• Network health: You will work closely with the Network Partnerships Leadership Team to review Viva’s Network Health Check process and develop a system designed to support partner networks to build strong and sustainable networks
• Reviewing project delivery: You will work closely with Network Coaches to agree the most efficient outworking of the MEAL Framework with the Viva partner networks for projects where Viva has brokered funding.
• Evaluating Viva’s work: You will lead the process of evaluating Viva’s work, including but not limited to needs assessments, baseline survey, final evaluation, data quality audits, collecting monitoring data, network satisfaction surveys, and field supervision.
• Representing Viva: You will at different times and ways represent Viva externally, for example, through speaking in churches, prayer meetings, meeting with other Christian organisations.

This role will suit you if you:

• have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field
• are experienced in working in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning-related functions or related field
• have experience in project management including grant management and reporting
• are to demonstrate an active Christian faith, with an understanding of the Christian faith and church culture to be able to effectively engage with partner networks and churches

Due to the nature of some of the key responsibilities, there is an Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a Christian (Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010).

This is a part-time role for Viva, based anywhere in the world where Viva can employ you. If based in the UK, the full-time salary range is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience. If you are based outside of the UK, the reward package will be adjusted to reflect the relevant local market and terms and conditions.

The role can be remote, hybrid or office-based where Viva has an office (Hong Kong, UK, Uganda). The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and registration with the DBS Update Service (or police check where possible outside the UK), paid for by Viva.

About the Role

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork. 
• You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist.
• You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

The role is responsible for promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people on our platform, being a consistent and reliable presence on the Shout platform, and advising Shout Supervisors on safeguarding actions and practise while raising and recording safeguarding issues as they arise. 

Key Responsibilities

• To act as an MHI Designated Safeguarding Officer.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
• Alongside the DSO, contribute to ensuring that everyone working or volunteering with or for children and young people at MHI, including the board of trustees, understands the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures and knows what to do if they have concerns about a child’s welfare
• Take a lead role in implementing MHI’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures: ensuring all safeguarding and child protection issues concerning children and young people who take part in MHI’s activities are responded to appropriately
• Take the lead on responding to information that may constitute a child protection concern, including a concern that an adult involved with MHI may present a risk to children or young people. This includes:
  • assessing and clarifying the information
  • calling in and recording all safeguarding issues as they arise.
  • supporting and responding to staff who raise internal concerns as well as supporting those who make external safeguarding referrals to police or Adult / Children's Services
  • making referrals to statutory organisations as appropriate
  • consulting with and informing the relevant members of the organisation’s management

• following the organisation’s safeguarding policy and procedures
• Immediately referring cases to the Safeguarding Panel where there is a radicalisation concern

• Liaise with, pass on information to and receive information from statutory child protection agencies such as:
  • the local authority child protection services
  • the police
  • this includes making formal referrals to agencies when necessary.
• Record and retain child protection records according to legal requirements and the organisation’s safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures.

• Be familiar with and work within inter-agency child protection procedures developed by child protection agencies working in partnership with MHI.
• Be familiar with issues relating to child protection and abuse, and keep up to date with new developments in this area.

• Attend team meetings, supervision sessions and management meetings as arranged.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit to join the wider Compliance, Audit and Risk team at SIG! You will have the overall responsibility of keeping participants, residents, and staff safe. The team manages the development, monitoring, and reporting of several areas including but not limited to accidents, incidents, and near misses (AINMs), safety reviews, safeguarding, whistleblowing, complaints, policy and procedure, health and safety, internal audit, business continuity planning and data protection.

As The Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit, you are the lynchpin of the wider team, linking strategic vision with solid and accountable implementation. You will be responsible for developing the team in the broad space of compliance as well as in their own areas of specialism, ensuring that a transparent and accountable compliance framework is implemented and embedded in line with regulatory and legislative change.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At least 2 days per week in central office (Islington) and our services which are in and around London, Brighton & Hove, Kent, Havering, Bedford, Luton, Nottingham, and Liverpool.
The additional 3 days can be worked from home. You may at times be required to visit a service more than 2 times within a week.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Line Management and leadership throughout employee lifecycle this includes; Recruitment, Onboarding, Inductions, training, support and supervision, relations, wellbeing support, and other areas.
• Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
• Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Facilitate a culture where constructive challenge is welcomed, and conflict is managed supportively in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Deputise for the Director as required.

Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance

• Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
• Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.
• Support services with commissioner led quality assurance framework (QAF) inspections and those registered with the CQC to maintain their portfolios and ensure they are ready for inspection at any time to retain their registrations.
• Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.

Reporting and Analysis

• Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
• Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis

Data Protection

• Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
• Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
• Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
• Proven experience in governance systems and structures which can include auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, policy, procedure, and report writing
• Experience and/or ability to coach, develop, and manage direct reports
• Background in health, social care, criminal justice, and/or supported housing systems
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
• Adequate understanding of the importance and mechanics of document control and writing policy and procedure
• Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
• Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format

About the Role:
As our Senior Advocacy Advisor on International Financial Institutions you will increase and strengthen our advocacy and capacity to influence global development finance institutions, particularly the World Bank but also be informed on major developments in other IFIs, e.g. recent Paris Summit and Global Financing Pact. We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.

In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level. 

You'll also: 

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.
• Build a network of contacts and relationships, including relevant IFI/ World Bank staff and Executive Directors, gather information, and advocate with the Board and staff of the World Bank on particular country operations and key policy areas
• Build technical knowledge and understanding of the Bank's policies and practices in relation to the WASH sector, including the activities of the International Development Association (IDA) and how these relate to countries in which WaterAid has CPs

 The Veterans’ Outreach Officer will support  the Head of Veterans’ Outreach in developing and managing the programme of activities encouraging engagement and social interaction between Chelsea Pensioners and other service veterans thereby helping to alleviate the social isolation and loneliness felt by many older veterans. Responsibilities will include promoting the programme within veterans' networks and finding innovative ways to connect with veterans; the management of themed events both at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and further afield as we seek to expand nationwide. Reprieve’s main office is in London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work.  About the Role

The Africa Death Penalty Team Project Manager is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. Our casework includes work on individual cases on behalf of people facing a death sentence; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing; and  long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter.

Regional context

 There is a trend toward the abolition of the death penalty in Africa. In recent years, countries across the continent have taken the decision to limit the application of the death penalty or to abolish it altogether. This has been seen as a turning away from old laws and systems that were imposed by former colonial governments, which obstructed alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and were designed to remove discretion from the local judiciary. African lawyers and judges are now at the forefront of a wave of progressive jurisprudence on issues related to the death penalty including methods of executions, torture, sentencing practice, conditions of confinement, and intersections of gender, disability, and socioeconomic status with criminal justice. This jurisprudence has become a model for the international movement to limit the death penalty, and is being held up as best practice in jurisdictions around the world.

Contract and location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model with staff working part of the week from home and part of the week from the office. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel.

The role:

This part time (0.6FTE) post is located within the core services Team, and reports to the CEO. The postholder works closely across the organisation to deliver an efficient Office management, Reception and basic HR service to all managers and staff.

Aims of the post

• To manage the office, coordinating volunteers to provide reception and administrative services. 

• To coordinate and procure office and IT equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

Office management

• Dealing with customer & external queries and disputes dealing with in bound and out bound communication, such as hybrid mail, post, phone calls and customer satisfaction surveys.

• Payroll - To collate information, draft and seek authorisation of payroll changes in partnership with the CEO and Director of Finance. To support the annual pay review. 

• Recruitment - To coordinate recruitment processes in partnership with the recruiting manager. This includes liaising with the recruitment agency. 

• Learning and Development - To coordinate training suppliers and place bookings for courses in consultation with the CEO. To contribute to coordinating the annual Staff and Volunteer conference. 

Customer focused services

• Promote and support tenants/participants to access PBHA’s participation and co-production opportunities.

Main Conditions of Service

This is a part time position. The post is for 22.5 hours per week. It is expected that the hours will be delivered on 3 full days (to be agreed) each week but alternative arrangements, ie 4.5 hours per day for 5 days, may be acceptable. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period.

Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year plus normal bank holidays pro rata. This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days – pro rata.  

Salaries and expenses are based on PBHA’s salary scales and are revised each year. The salary for this post will be in the range of £35,692 pro rata per annum and the starting salary is £35,692 (£21,415 for 22.5 hours per week).

The post holder will be auto enrolled to be a member of the organisation's contributory pension scheme if eligible.

In common with all posts at PBHA, confirmation of appointment is subject to a probationary period (6 months). The notice period for this role is four weeks.
