The Victory Services Club (VSC) is a successful charity which provides membership services to serving & retired members of the UK Armed Forces, NATO, Commonwealth, and their families. The Club, which is close to Marble Arch, has 200 bedrooms, extensive dining facilities, and seven Event Rooms which are available for Club members. Their Event Rooms are hired to generate revenue for the charity. The Club operates a number of schemes to provide free breaks for serving members of the Armed Forces. We are currently recruiting a Marketing Coordinator.
The Role
Working across all areas of marketing in the business including Front of House, Membership, Events and Food & Beverage. You will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing including updating the website with new content and imagery using CMS, producing and sending out the monthly e-newsletter, producing and replenishing marketing material and supporting on all marketing projects including print and digital campaigns.
The Person
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail ordinated individual who enjoys being creative. You must have strong experience in Marketing and Communications and be familiar with CMS including WordPress. A strong knowledge of social media management is essential. You must possess a good knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Publisher/Excel, along with knowledge of email marketing programmes.

The Role

The Director of Development and External Affairs will determine a strategic plan for business development, fundraising and commercial opportunities within the remit of the role. You will manage both capital and revenue income targets and support an experienced Audience & Communications team to increase visitor attendance to achieve c. 400,000 visitors per year. As the new Digital Fundraising Manager, you'll hold a vital role driving MAF’s digital fundraising endeavors and broadening its donor network. You will lead in crafting and executing digital campaign strategies, you'll deploy your expert skills in digital marketing, copywriting, and analytics. We are looking for someone who can captivate audiences, spur engagement, and foster meaningful connections. Through innovative approaches and data-driven insights, you'll strategically navigate the digital landscape, maximising MAF’s outreach and impact. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Development and management experience in digital marketing and donor acquisition
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO marketing, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to analyse campaign performance metrics

Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region. About the role
As Major Gifts Manager, you'll join the charities growing philanthropy team working on a portfolio of £5-100k+ gifts where you'll steward Major Donors in Scotland and work on building a new pipeline of high networth individuals. With a warm pool of prospects, and exciting and varied programmes to talk to them about, you'll be part of a vibrant and supportive culture where people are encouraged to try new things and get creative. Led by a supportive and collaborative team who believe in empowering each other, you'll be given the freedom to work in the way that best suits you.
About you
You've got a proven track record of making the ask at the five/six figure mark. You create inspiring and emotive proposals, tailored to the individual with a focus on outcomes and impact. You're confident in picking up the phone and getting out to meet donors, where you communicate and influence effectively. You thrive in a homeworking environment, managing your time well and organising a pipeline of work independently. Whilst previous philanthropy experience would come in handy, we are open to applications from fundraisers with transferable skills and experience in other income streams but you must be able to demonstrate you understand the theory of how Philanthropy works. What we'll also need you to demonstrate is a talent for relationship building and a passion for stewardship; the ability to listen carefully and intuitively to shape opportunities for donors to give. We are looking for an Events Fundraising Officer for an incredible mental health charity to play a pivotal role in the Community and Events Fundraising teams strategic objectives.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the either the London or Cardiff office. There is a permanant role available and there may be a 12 month contract with the team also.

The Role
Project Management: Deliver fundraising activity and supporter journeys from beginning to end, from writing briefs, working with creative agencies/freelancers, to collating results.
Data Analysis: Use data and insight to inform your work, to evaluate your projects and inform future activity, producing high quality analysis reports for activities.
Budget Management: Manage timely payment of invoices, including raising/requesting POs accurately and tracking expenditure to ensure activities are within budget.
Relationship Management: Attend supporter led and third-party events to help enhance supporter experience and deepen relationships.
The Candidate
Volunteer Managment: Experience and a proven track record of managing volunteers to undertake a fundraising activity and exceed their targets.
Data and Insight: Ability to interpret and analyse data and use insight to improve performance and help inform future strategies.
Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Communication skills: An ability to deal with people at all levels and in all walks of life, on the telephone, face-to-face and in written communication.
