We are hiring a Mental Health Floating Support Coordinator to support our Luton Service which delivers support to individuals living within the community who have support needs pertaining to their mental health and wellbeing. The service works alongside statutory services, with the aim of moving people on to independent living within two years. You will empower and motivate our residents and participants to achieve their personal goals and gain greater independence, which enables them to reintegrate into the community and lead fulfilling lives. The support offered is tailored to the individual needs of the participants and residents through a recovery based model.
Who is the service for & what is it funded/ accessed to deliver?

- Our clients have a primary mental health need, including complex needs and dual diagnosis
All our clients have a personalised support plans and proactive support work, to engage them with the opportunities available to them to live independently in the community, develop their social skills and independent living skills. We work with clients to improve their health and wellbeing, including supporting people to manage their mental health condition and crisis prevention.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a key worker and/or link worker and contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and subsequent reviews.
- Provide advice, information and guidance to residents and participants.
- Explore the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs, including group events and individual sessions, using internal and external sources.
- Participate in, and encourage residents and participants to participate in the running and development of projects, social enterprise initiatives, training, volunteering or work experience.
- Develop and sustain therapeutic relationships, providing practical and emotional support to ensure they are always treated with respect and dignity.
- Support our residents and participants with the relevant skills, experience, networks, and training to prepare them for resettlement into semi/independent living.
- Identify resident activity needs and wishes through assessments, observations, and discussions.
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.
- Administration duties will vary.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience is required
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, including in the criminal justice field, mental health, and/or substance misuse or a good understanding of the sector
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
What we would like, but not essential:
- Appropriate qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent
- Experience of providing housing support and a practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role
- Experience creating co-produced support plans and providing appropriate interventions for service user and liaising with other professionals

Job Title: Caring Dads Practitioner
Hours: 22.5 hours per week across 3 days.

Caring Dads exists to change current practice to better include fathers in efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of their children. The practitioner will work directly with fathers with an aim to improve relationships with their children, families, and co-parents/carers. This will include promoting the service to a range of teams across Hampshire and Southampton, to generate programme referrals. You will work closely with Hampton Trust domestic abuse perpetrator service to identify client suitability for the Caring Dads programme.
As the Caring Dads Practitioner, you will be required to deliver the Caring Dads and Accredited Domestic Abuse Prevention Training (ADAPT) Programme. This includes one to one support and group work. Groups are delivered on weekday evenings; you will be required to deliver one group work sessions per week.
You will undertake treatment and risk assessments of individuals causing harm in their relationships; this includes active case/risk management of families living with domestic abuse. Although this position is based in Ashurst, you will be co-located into social work teams across Hampshire three days per week, with an aim to providing support and advice in identifying suitable families for the Caring Dads and ADAPT programme.

About the role

Humankind currently have an exciting opportunity to join their Dorset substance misuse service, REACH, in their Safeguarding Families Together team. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support parents and carers to keep their children safely at home by supporting them with their recovery.
Working as part of the REACH and Children’s Safeguarding Families Together service, the post holder will provide high quality support and interventions to Dorset families as part of the Safeguarding Families Together Team. You will be working with adults with substance misuse related problems to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for their whole family.
This post will be co-located and working alongside multiple partner organizations’ (Probation, Mental Health, Social Workers & Domestic abuse practitioner’s, with cases that are open to statutory services as part of Children’s Social Care. The teams work with Children in Need, Children subject to Child Protection Plans, Pre-proceedings and Care proceedings.
The purpose of this post is to reduce substance misuse related harm to the individual and their families, by eliminating the negative impact on children of parental substance misuse. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within Children’s services to support parents and carers to keep their children safely at home by supporting them with their recovery.
Skills and Qualifications
- Have an understanding and knowledge of substance misuse, including the treatment and interventions available.
- Have experience managing a busy caseload, with excellent organisational skills.
- Have experience contributing to group supervisions, team meetings and case conferences.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies related to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

About the role:
The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.
The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.
The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.
About You:
To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:
Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

We are looking for a passionate Chef to work independently in our kitchen to deliver a daily meal for up to 100 young people, staff and volunteers. You will have responsibility for planning, preparing and serving food that makes a real difference to people's lives. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Collective Action Officer role to provide administrative and program support to the Collective Action team to enable the effective delivery of agreed work plans – coordinating the organization of sector and thematic meetings, undertaking research, and supporting the maintenance of the CRM, the project management system, and the relevant aspects of the community platform.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong administrative background, adept at seamlessly managing multiple workstreams within a dynamic office environment. Your expertise should extend to nurturing relationships with diverse stakeholders, adeptly providing project management support through CRM systems, and proficiently organizing both in-person and online events, ideally with proficiency in Office 365.

- Proven track record of thriving in an office environment characterized by multiple work streams and fast-paced teams.
- Demonstrated ability in managing relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, including companies, NGOs, and trade unions.
- Experience providing administrative and project management support, proficiently utilizing CRM systems.
- Proficiency in organizing both in-person and online events.
- Familiarity and adeptness with the Office 365 suite.
- Strong background in conducting research, analysis, and composing reports.
- Passionate about and knowledgeable in sustainability and human rights issues.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.

This is a part-time (4 days/week) hybrid post with a salary of between £35,699 - £39,295 plus benefits.
