We’re looking for a talented Database Manager who can turn data into knowledge, helping us build meaningful relationships with our supporters and grow the income that makes our care possible.
Hours: 20 hours per week. Hybrid working preferred although fully remote will be considered.
What is the role?
You’ll take ownership of our Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring it is accurate, efficient and used to its full potential across our fundraising and supporter engagement teams.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, IT and finance, you’ll help us better understand our supporters, improve how we work, and make smarter decisions that support our long-term sustainability.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, with a new strategy in place and ambitious plans — giving you real scope to shape how data is used across the organisation.

JOB PURPOSE
The Business Analyst will strengthen how we work by improving processes, systems, and the way we use data. This is a hands-on role, working closely with multiple teams across the organisation to identify challenges and develop solutions that are practical, proportionate, reflect the day-to-day realities of the working environment and are aligned with our values. The role requires someone who is a great communicator, has a consultative approach and can quickly build trust with staff and the senior leadership team. They will be able to balance what is an ideal solution with what is feasible in a charity context. The role will contribute to our mission to prevent and end homelessness by ensuring our systems, processes, and data are aligned with strategic priorities and delivery goals.
MAIN DUTIES
Collaborate with teams across Service Delivery, Finance, People Services, Income Generation, and senior leadership to identify operational needs, understand challenges, and shape improvements
Facilitate workshops and consultation events to build a shared understanding of needs and challenges
Co‑produce delivery excellence standards with people who use our services, ensuring their experiences and insights help shape how we design, assess, and improve our work.
Document and analyse current workflows across and within teams and identify where improvements can be made.
Translate organisational needs into clear, actionable proposals for system or process improvements.
Lead organisational change arising from the analysis, working with managers and staff to plan improvements, coordinate implementation, and ensure changes are mainstreamed across the organisation.
Work with the Data and Evidence Manager to improve data collection and reporting, ensuring that it supports changes to processes and workflows.
Support the development of dashboards or tools that help track impact and performance.
Support staff through clear communication, documentation and training
Work closely with our IT Team to ensure systems meet user needs.
Manage user testing of any new systems
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Head of Strategy and Evidence to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage
To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
To participate in regular supervision and appraisal to help identify job-related development and training needs.
To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.

You will also provide support and leadership on compiling analysis for organisational monitoring and learning, pulling together insight for board and governance reporting, programme reporting, fundraising bids, continuous improvement research and other adhoc requests.
Working closely with others in our Research Impact and Learning team, you will contribute to developing a culture of learning, ensuring that insights and evidence generated by our research and evaluation activity feed back into the organisation, allowing UnLtd to iterate our work and be an impact-driven, agile, learning organisation.

Following the growth of the Income Generation team Severn Hospice is expanding.
Severn Hospice is a leading regional charity providing compassionate care for people living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated fundraiser to help grow our Individual Giving programme, a vital source of income that enables us to continue delivering our caring services.
As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering fundraising activity that inspires supporters and maximises engagement, income and lifetime value.
Leading a diverse portfolio including regular giving, appeals, in memoriam gifts, funeral donations and general donations, you will use insight-led planning and thoughtful communication to engage supporters, build lasting and meaningful relationships and encourage long-term giving.
Working closely with colleagues across the income generation and communications teams, you will develop campaigns, initiatives and supporter journeys that make new and existing supporters feel valued, informed and inspired by the difference they make.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will manage budgets, plan and monitor campaigns, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and best practice standards. You will also line-manage the Legacy Fundraiser, supporting the development of legacy income as part of the wider Individual Giving programme.
