Summary of the role:
The Director of Income Generation & Marketing will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious, innovative, and sustainable income generation and marketing strategy. This role is responsible for significantly growing Muslim Aid’s financial resources, enhancing its brand presence in the UK and internationally, and expanding its footprint in new and emerging economic markets, ensuring all activity is firmly aligned to Muslim Aid’s mission and values.
The Director will drive high impact fundraising initiatives across multiple channels, working closely with Country Directors, global teams, and other SLT colleagues to unlock new funding opportunities, diversity income streams and maximise donor engagement. About the Role:

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Fundraising, or a related field.

Purpose of post
By instruction and in partnership with the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) the Programme Director will manage and coordinate the operational areas of VFCC based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met. Key tasks
- The Programme Director will assist senior management in establishing the development of the organisations long-term business Plan.

Other duties:
- To work within the organisation’s policies and practice guidelines.
- To participate in supervision sessions, staff meetings, managerial meetings, and the team activities.

Role Overview: Knowledge in grant-funding, capacity building, organisational support
We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Charity Support Officer to help deliver AWN’s mission. You will be the first point of contact for grassroots charities, supporting them to strengthen their organisations and improve their chances of securing grant funding by offering practical guidance, signposting, and building trusted relationships that help them grow in confidence and resilience. The role includes helping organisations strengthen governance and compliance, sharing information on grant-funding opportunities, and supporting them to identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
The non-profits you will support work across a wide range of areas for example: women, health and wellbeing, youth, homelessness and poverty, family services, sports, faith groups, crime and gangs, prisoners and ex-offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, drug addiction, older people and rehabilitation, and many more.
Bringing a strong awareness of the barriers facing small charities particularly Muslim-led groups, will be key to helping them build long-term sustainability and impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for charities and community groups, managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities.

Carry out needs assessments to understand organisations strengths, challenges, and funding needs, and develop clear action plans.

The Role
As our Fundraising and Events Assistant you will contribute to Yorkshire Cancer Research’s mission by enhancing brand awareness through supporting the Marketing and Fundraising teams and expanding regional outreach by delivering key events and campaigns throughout the year. Reporting to the Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will build strong relationships with event participants and fundraisers through excellent communication and customer service. You will also assist in maximising relevant opportunities to generate income for our charity via events and partnership opportunities.
Specifically, you will:
- Be the fundraisers’ representative and ‘champion’, working to deliver first class information about events, the charity and how money raised will help.
- Support event participants and fundraisers set up online giving pages, providing guidance, sending out merchandise and practical support as necessary.
- Keep the CRM database up to date, recording every contact with a supporter accurately and adhering to data protection regulations.
- Support the event planning process by considering participant information needs pre-event, during and post-event. Proactively share ideas for the ideal stewardship (customer journey) with the events and marketing teams to secure their input and support.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure letters, leaflets and other communications (sent by email and/or post) accurately reflect the brand identity, convey key messages and are sent at the most appropriate times/touchpoints.
- Be responsible for stock control, maintaining an accurate inventory of all event equipment and its whereabouts, keep the events section of the stock cupboard tidy.
- Attend a number of Yorkshire Cancer Research and Community Fundraising events each year to support the successful delivery of the event and to gain an understanding of the needs and feedback of participants and their supporters.
- Maintain a record of event participant and fundraising data (sign-ups, attendees, funds raised, etc) and share with the wider team.
- Assist the corporate managers with identifying new corporate relationships.
- Obtain and file photo permissions from events and community fundraisers in line with the charity’s procedures and GDPR obligations and highlight any potential PR opportunities.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To be educated to minimum A-Level or equivalent, but a degree in an events, business or marketing related discipline is desirable.
- To have proactively worked to advance career or gather work experience through continued professional development relevant to the role and level.
- To have experience of working in the events industry and an understanding of what is involved with organising an event, including how to ensure events are safe and well managed. This experience may have been gained through a full-time role, a volunteering experience, or a degree/ equivalent qualification in events.
- To have customer service experience in a similar or related role. Experience of dealing with customer queries and providing excellent stewardship, going the extra mile to answer all queries in a polite and timely manner.
- To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences.
- To enjoy delivering excellent customer service and customer/supporter interaction, to be able to develop positive and professional relationships.
- To have excellent organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines. Able to work well in an event situation when timings and quick decision-making making is required.
- To be able to travel across the Yorkshire region.
- To have a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points and the ability to drive the charity’s van.
- To be willing to work out-of-office hours (to attend events at weekends / evenings as appropriate).

With a solid understanding of the administration of wills, you will liaise with executors and professional advisors and advise colleagues and the Board on best practice legacy administration.

- Fundraising Success: At least five years’ experience of delivering a Legacy Giving programme with success in driving acquisition and relationship management

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose
The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. Your role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant managing of our premises, IT systems and some HR functions.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About the role:
We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to sign up to our range of challenge events, such as marathons etc. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and working with another Events and Engagement Officer colleague (who works 2 days a week), you both will be focusing mainly on filling and retaining places for our challenge events.
This is a critical role for generating essential funds for the charity. You will love a challenge and be goal orientated. It is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, promoting, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events. You will thrive in this role if you love being organised and doing admin, but love being “out and about” interacting, influencing and motivating people to sign up to participate in challenge events and fundraise for us. Please note that you will need to carry, load up and set-up event materials from our office to events, often on your own. It is essential you have access to transport and must have a full, clean driving licence. We are a very small team, so you will need to have the confidence and willingness to meet with organisations and attend events on your own.
Please reflect that grit and resilience are required for this role given the remote/hybrid working, subject matter, fast-paced and flexible multi-tasking, and the need to be highly goal-oriented and results focused. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruit, retain and support participants for a wide range of fundraising challenge events, including marathons, cycling and overseas events

Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact by generating income/ donations through our challenge events and events they organise to raise money

Create inspiring digital content and resources to empower and guide fundraisers and donors throughout their journey

Develop our fundraising hub to provide resources and information and encouragement to help participants
-
Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at events, delivering talks and building awareness to attract new donors, supporters and sign-ups to our challenge events

With support of our marketing team, create compelling content for multiple channels, including our website, blog, case studies, social media, and press releases, tailored to diverse audiences

Assist with multiple administrative tasks, such as inputting data into our CRM, check fundraising activities by participants on Just Giving and other activities ensure fundraising targets are being met and the smooth running and of our fundraising team and events

Be in commutable distance of Brighton, so you can come into the head office when required to send out merchandise, collect marketing collateral (including banners, posters, leaflets) to take to events.
To be successful in this role, you must be responsive, extremely organised, have attention to detail, be able to meet deadlines, and passionate about seeing growth and progress in your work. You will be determind to exceed your KPIs such as recruitment of fundraisers who will reach their income targets. You will be a dynamic, socially confident person, who excels at winning hearts and minds and thrives on tangible results.
