Job description

Sightsavers is seeking a customer-focused Intern with a strong work ethic to join our Corporate Services Department (based in the UK), supporting teams across the organisation both within the UK and in country offices across the world.

Corporate Services Intern

Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Salary: £21,840 per annum (real living wage)

At Sightsavers, we start with sight, but we don’t stop there. We partner with regional, national and international organisations, governments and non-governmental organisations in over 30 countries in Africa and South Asia, working to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of women, girls and people with disabilities, and help to improve local health services so they are sustainable.

The Corporate Services Internship is a busy role, supporting a variety of specialist teams. If you are looking to kick-start your career, working for Sightsavers as a Corporate Services Intern will offer you fantastic development opportunities and full training.

You will be responsible for providing an efficient service in a range of tasks including UK premises, travel coordination, HR Operations, service delivery management and IT support.

Responsibilities

Please see the job description for full details and note that due to the nature of the role, we will need you to work from our offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex for the majority of the working week.

The successful candidate must have a flexible and multi-disciplined attitude with a keen desire to develop. You will have strong customer service skills as well as be proficient using Microsoft applications. Essentially you will also be organised and have excellent administrative skills.  We are looking for a candidate with the ability to start as soon as possible - ideally in mid-June - and to commit to a full time 12-month fixed term contract. Whilst the role is a hybrid role (working from the office and home) we will need the successful candidate to be on site at our offices in Haywards Heath on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but potentially on Mondays and Fridays too, when required.
