We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit to join the wider Compliance, Audit and Risk team at SIG! You will have the overall responsibility of keeping participants, residents, and staff safe. OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Line Management and leadership throughout employee lifecycle this includes; Recruitment, Onboarding, Inductions, training, support and supervision, relations, wellbeing support, and other areas.
• Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
• Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance

• Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
• Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.
• Support services with commissioner led quality assurance framework (QAF) inspections and those registered with the CQC to maintain their portfolios and ensure they are ready for inspection at any time to retain their registrations.
• Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.

Reporting and Analysis

• Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
• Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis

Data Protection

• Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
• Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
• Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. Please refer to JDPS attached for more info

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
• Proven experience in governance systems and structures which can include auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, policy, procedure, and report writing
• Experience and/or ability to coach, develop, and manage direct reports
• Background in health, social care, criminal justice, and/or supported housing systems
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
• Adequate understanding of the importance and mechanics of document control and writing policy and procedure
• Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
• Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format

Scope and Nature of Services

Relief International (RI) is a leading nonprofit organization working in 14 countries to relieve poverty, ensure well-being and advance dignity. We specialize in fragile settings, responding to natural disasters, humanitarian crises and chronic poverty. 

RI is seeking proposals from Microsoft App developers to develop an automated Travel Request Form (Lot 1) and Expenses Claim Form (Lot 2) within RIs Microsoft environment. The Forms will need to be able to populate relevant budget code data from RIs finance management system (Oracle Netsuite), use RIs single sign on (SSO) and MS Identity Service (EntraID) and preferably be able to work offline (sync’ing when the user has internet connectivity). Based on the data collected in the forms RI also requires a dashboard of relevant data to be generated using PowerBI (Lot 3).

Developers should bid for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately. The fees for Lot 3 (PowerBI) will be agreed with the successful bidder on completion of the initial scope of work related to Lots 1 and 2 and as such no quote is required for Lot 3 in this submission..

RI is open to revising its requirements based on recommendations from a developer where this can improve the functioning of the forms.

RIs IT department will be part of the developer selection process, and will review and sign off on all deliverables prior to any payment.

Lot 1: Travel Request Automation Requirements

A Travel Request (TR) form is to be created in Microsoft (MS) Apps, with an approval workflow automated using MS Automate, and using MS Lists if needed. It will be run on RIs SharePoint, and accessed the RI Sharepoint MyApps page. It can also preferably be used offline, with the data synchronising when a user has internet access. 

Any RI staff can access and create a TR and submit it for approval in the RI MS environment. The fields for the TR are defined in Annex 1. Note that Annex 1 is broadly based on the RI pdf Travel Request form (with some differences), which is available in Annex 5.

Once a TR is submitted for approval it obtains a system generated unique serial number and follows the approval process and subsequent actions as outlined in Annex 2.

Once a TR is approved a traveller receives an approved TR via email, with a link to a form they can save and/or print, which they use to book relevant travel.

Traveller draft and approved TRs will be available for a traveller to access at any time on a dashboard within the RI Microsoft environment that only shows those relevant to the Travellers RI email address.

Lot 2: Expenses Claim Form Automation Requirements

A form is to be created to support Expense Claims and Cash Advance Settlements, called the Expense Report Form (ERF). 

The ERF is to be created in Microsoft (MS) Apps, with an approval workflow automated using MS Automate, and using MS Lists if needed. It will be run on RIs SharePoint, and accessed the RI Sharepoint MyApps page. It can also preferably be used offline, with the data synchronising when a user has internet access. Any RI user with access to RI SharePoint can complete and submit this form. Once an ERF is submitted for approval it obtains a system generated unique serial number and follows the approval process and resulting actions as outlined in Annex 4.

Once a TR is approved a traveller receives an approved TR via email, with a link to a form they can save and/or print, which they use to book relevant travel.

Consultant Profile and Submission Requirements

RI is seeking a developer who

• Has significant experience with developing such automations within customer Microsoft systems
• Is registered as a consultant and can provide formal invoices against which payment will be made within 30 days of satisfactory sign off of work by RI

Proposals must include

• The developers CV, showing relevant experience with MS Apps, MS Automate, MS Identity Services, MS Identity Service (EntraID), MS Lists and MS PowerBI, as well as experience with integrating data from other systems (e.g. Oracle Netsuite)
• A supporting letter with
  • a fixed price cost for Lot 1 and Lot 2 separately, including any VAT
  • your hourly or daily rate for any additional work related to Lot 3
  • examples of similar work completed in the past 2 years
  • a proposed timeline for the work, which must include
    • at least 1 detailed scoping session with relevant RI staff to finalise the requirements
    • at least 2 review cycles by RI staff to ensure the final product meets RIs needs.

Earthsight is a non-profit organisation dedicated to researching and investigating environmental and social crime and injustice. We use cutting-edge investigative methods to uncover and expose wrongdoing. Since emerging as a fully-fledged organisation in 2016, our reports have garnered headlines, won awards and triggered major changes by governments and corporations.

We seek to create positive change by influencing government policy, uncovering greenwash and raising awareness among key constituencies about the impacts of global supply chains on the world’s forests and forest communities.

Most global deforestation is driven by industrial production of a handful of major commodities, including beef, soy, palm oil and wood. A large chunk of this production is to meet demand in Western consumer markets. Over the past few years, Earthsight has played a key role in highlighting the complicity of corporations and consumers in the EU, UK and US in the destruction of forests overseas, as well as the abuses of local people which accompany that destruction. As part of a global coalition, we have succeeded in getting laws passed or under development in all those jurisdictions which aim to clean up these supply chains. Now we need to ensure those laws are effectively enforced.

This role will be key to that. As part of a small team, you will help design and coordinate implementation of our policy strategy and outputs. You will represent the organisation in meetings with policymakers, government authorities and civil society, as well as help draft and disseminate policy briefings and other advocacy material. You will also oversee our comms work.

The position is offered as a full-time permanent contract. The successful candidate would preferably be based in the UK and able to come into our office in London regularly. Fast forward to today, the prison population in England and Wales is almost 87,000 and is projected to rise to 106,300 by March 2027. We overuse prison for non-violent and persistent crime, and we choose to send people to prison for a long time, and it continues to grow.

Our mission is clear. We are working to create a just, humane and effective prison system by influencing decision-makers opinion formers and the public to 1) reduce the use of prison; 2) Improve conditions for prisoners and, 3) promote equality and human rights in the criminal justice system.

Income in 2023 was £2.06 million, with most of our income portfolio reliant on trusts and foundations. We have just been through a strategic development period and as a part of that we have uncovered significant untapped potential for philanthropic and relational based income growth. We are now seeking a newly designed, ‘Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy’ to lead the whole fundraising programme, but with a specific focus on developing the philanthropy and corporate programme to take Prison Reform Trust to the next level.

You will be a seasoned relational fundraiser, have entrepreneurial flair, be creative and have the ability to influence at the highest of levels. Overall aim

· To maximise and grow Prison Reform Trust’s income by leading and implementing the fundraising strategy, ensuring targets are met and exceeded and in line with evolving needs, with a particular focus on unrestricted and core income growth

· To lead on identifying, researching, proposal writing and engaging donors in a relational manner including, philanthropists, family foundations, trusts, corporates, low level individuals and senior volunteers.

· To lead and focus on building relationships with existing, lapsed and new donors to maximise long term income for PRT

· Effective management of fundraising campaigns and donor touchpoints, providing excellence in stewardship and excelling in cultivation tactics to move donors along the journey

Key responsibilities

Leadership, strategy, planning and reporting

· Developing, implementing and performance managing the fundraising strategy in line with PRT’s organisational strategy to ensure income growth and diversification across all income streams

· Develop, manage and monitor the fundraising budget and financial targets with a particular focus on maintaining a healthy unrestricted to restricted income profile to ensure future investment into the fundraising programme

· As a member of the Senior Management Team, regular reporting to Senior Leadership Team and Board

Fundraising and Philanthropy

· Build deep and rich relationships with donors and funders, ensuring that stewardship is best-in-class to maximise each partnership to its full potential

· To utilise PRT’s network to build and grow a new philanthropy and partnerships programme at PRT

· Aligned with PRT’s strategic funding priorities and core work, develop proposals and bids for large scale, multi-year funding opportunities

· To lead on new business opportunities for fundraising at PRT. This includes identifying and qualifying prospects and partners, network mapping and cultivating them to their first gift with support from the development manager to take the relationships forward

· Oversee the management of grant funded projects to ensure that they are being delivered to the highest quality standard to meet donor requirements and reporting to be submitted on time

· Lead and oversee the development and delivery of fundraising products and activating activity

General

· Maintain excellent working relationships with other teams within the organisation especially service delivery, campaigns and finance

· Assist in developing and maintaining an effective website so donors have a seamless user experience

· Positively contribute to the effective running of the organisation including taking an active role in the management team

· Undertake any other relevant duties or responsibilities delegated by the CEO or Deputy Director

· Ability to work outside normal office hours/flexibility for events and networking opportunities

· Responsible for maintaining key fundraising memberships and ownership of fundraising policies and procedures

Experience and qualifications

Essential:

· Extensive experience in a senior fundraising role, with a focus on unrestricted giving

· Extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering and growing income from philanthropists (5 and 6 figure gifts)

· Experience of raising money from companies (5 and 6 figure gifts)

· Evidenced experience in cultivating and building relationships with donors / supporters and stewarding key funders

· Experience of overseeing a trusts and foundations programme

Desirable:

· Experience of working with Trusts and Foundations and large scale charitable trusts
