An exciting opportunity to lead and transform the CSP’s data capabilities in support of our public-good mission. You will improve our understanding and use of data across the organisation in aid of our 65,000 members and the physiotherapy profession.
The CSP is a one-off organisation. We give expert voice to UK physiotherapy, and support our members throughout their education, working lives and retirement. This makes us stewards of critical knowledge about the profession and its central role in the healthcare system. You will be shaping the data culture and capabilities that scaffold that knowledge.
You will be the visible lead for data in the organisation, a proactive voice to connect our data operations with the strategic objectives they serve. You will combine professional expertise with personal integrity: we are a values-driven organisation, and Data for Good will be your core business.
You will champion the data perspective among the organisation’s leadership: cementing the importance of data in corporate decision-making, and ensuring that our Data Governance and Management follows best practice and supports our ability to leverage data.
You will lead the organisation’s developing data maturity, including use of data and growth in data skills and capabilities in order to improve organisational decision making and influence.

Duties and responsibilities: General
- To work collaboratively with other mangers and assist, when necessary, with providing cover during periods of absence and play an active part in SWAN’s Leadership Team
- Act as the safeguarding lead for the service
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, changes to practice and wider activities relating to advocacy; to input to policies / procedures (COVID-19, LPS etc).

Supervision and Development of Direct Reports
- Responsible for the recruitment of their service team
- Responsible for the effective induction of new staff members and support through their induction period

- Responsible for the effective triaging of referrals and allocations of casework after considering prioritisation of cases, current caseloads and team members’ skill set

- Work proactively with the statutory services to promote the service, problem solve and uphold the agreed engagement protocols

In the past five years of running our Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, we have found that the best predictor of which incubated charities will end up causing the highest impact is the quality of the co-founding team. As we scale up, one of our biggest bottlenecks is identifying highly talented, value-aligned people out of the thousands of candidates from all over the world who apply to our programs. The difference in outcomes between a bad and a good hire can be huge, but this variation is even more extreme when it comes to co-founders. The initial staff of an organization set the pace, tone, and culture for the long-term. The purpose of the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at the National Theatre, as we look to grow our income from individual members, major donors, trusts and corporate organisations.

About the role
The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.
As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.
Duties and responsibilities
1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems
- Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
- Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
- Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
- Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.
2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design

A key focus will be to facilitate effective training pathways for paid staff and volunteers. You will be required to design and deliver group training sessions, and monitor trainee progress and development through structured training programmes.
