About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Network Development team in the North of England, to support the team in managing a range of projects that will fix and grow the National Cycle Network in the delivery of our Paths for Everyone strategy.
As the Senior Network Development Manager, you will be leading a small team of Network Development colleagues to initiate, develop and deliver programmes and projects to advance the National Cycle Network (NCN). You will be ensuring the plan for the NCN remains innovative and relevant, by creating new routes and removing barriers.
You will provide project management experience and expertise, strategic support and specialist knowledge to the Network Development team and ensure income is maximised and resources focused on impactful projects.
You will collaborate, influence and build internal and external relationships with key people from local authorities, partner organisations, public and voluntary stakeholder groups and community representatives.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including inputting and reconciling timesheets, calculating holiday pay, and updating payroll records.
- Support year-end activities such as PSA and P11D calculations and submissions, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations and internal policies.
- Manage pension contributions and submissions, ensuring accurate data uploads to pension portals and compliance with scheme rules and statutory requirements.
- Administer statutory and occupational sick pay in line with current legislation and company policies, with a strong understanding of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) rules and accurate processing of sickness absences.
- Maintain payroll data integrity through regular system updates, data cleansing, and the implementation of necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Deliver a high level of service by responding promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
- Partner with the Payroll Manager and Finance team on ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster strong working relationships across departments to support seamless payroll operations and effective communication.
- Commit to working one additional day per month during payroll processing periods to meet operational demands.
- Provide cover for the Payroll Manager during periods of absence, contributing to the continuity of critical payroll cycles and strategic projects.
Education & Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent with good results in Maths & English

As Supporter Care Officer you’ll help to build our fundraising activities by working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships to grow, diversify and sustain our income generation. You’ll provide excellent care and guidance to our supporters and create plans to grow our activities across individual giving, challenge and community fundraising. We’re in the early stages of growth and this new role offers an exciting opportunity to help build a fundraising department from the ground up.

The Advice and Representation team plays a vital role in championing student voices and ensuring they receive the support they need throughout their university experience. The team provides independent academic and welfare advice, supports democratic processes, and facilitates student representation across the institution. By working closely with elected officers, Student Voice Leaders, and key stakeholders, the team ensures students are empowered to influence policies, shape their education, and access essential guidance when facing challenges. The team also works to create inclusive representation structures that represent the diverse needs of all student communities.
Role
The role ensures students receive high-quality, independent support and have a strong voice in shaping their university experience. The role oversees both the advice service and student representation structures, managing a team that delivers casework support, representation initiatives, and democratic engagement. This includes supporting elected officers, overseeing student feedback mechanisms, running democratic processes, and ensuring effective student advocacy within the university.
Main Responsibilities
· Ensure that all the teams’ activities are aligned, preventing overlaps and ensuring a cohesive approach to the Union's goals. This includes integrating officer priorities, team-specific projects, and broader Union objectives into a single, unified plan.
· Ensure the delivery of independent, student-centered advice services on academic and welfare issues, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and confidentiality standards. This includes the post holder providing advice and advocacy services.
· Track and analyse advice and representation trends, feeding insights to inform wider SU and University strategies.
· Deliver proactive academic advice, including running proactive advice stalls and supporting student leaders to deliver peer support.
· Oversee the delivery of wellbeing initiatives across a range of issues, including mental health, food poverty, period poverty, and drugs/alcohol, in collaboration with relevant departments as appropriate.
· Maintain and develop the BSU Essentials food bank, ensuring a smooth operation, food safety monitoring, collecting data on usage, encouraging donations, and providing additional support information to students.
· Support the design and run the implementation of the Student Voice Leaders (SVL) programme, ensuring they have appropriate training, support and guidance.
· Attend School Education and Student Experience Committees to support Student Voice Leaders in their duties.
· Develop and implement representation structures for Postgraduate Taught (PGT) and Postgraduate Research (PGR) students, ensuring their concerns and needs are appropriately represented at all levels of the Union.
· Coordinate student voice initiatives for key student groups with unique challenges, ensuring their voices are included and represented in key decision-making processes. This may include commuting students, matures students, students with disabilities.
· Support elected officers by providing relevant student feedback, training, and guidance to help them represent students effectively within the University and beyond.
· Support the Communities Officer and Representation Projects Coordinator in ensuring termly forums for student groups, ensuring representation and inclusion for those groups needing most support.
· Contribute to the development of the SU’s Big Plan, overseeing the delivery of relevant projects and ensuring the team plays an active role in its implementation.
· Ensure effective and inclusive student engagement with advice services and representation, focusing on underrepresented and diverse student communities.

Multi-award-winning Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal works in partnership with Aardman to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are seeking a talented individual to join our ambitious team to manage our flagship family accommodation service.
You will be responsible for the operational delivery of our family accommodation service, including the management of the housekeeping team, and you will ensure that all families receive a warm welcome, and experience first-rate accommodation during their stay.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong organisational skills are key attributes for this role. You will engage with hospital staff, and the families in their care, on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be expected to support the principles, values, and objectives of The Grand Appeal.

Key tasks:
Providing a high-quality accommodation experience
· Deliver high-quality accommodation service on a daily basis
· Build and maintain relationships with key staff at each hospital to ensure open communication and alignment to deliver a compliant, safe and high-quality accommodation service
· Undertake daily liaison with key ward/hospital staff to agree allocation of available accommodation
· Work closely with the hospital staff to manage any concerns arising
· Ensure accommodation is allocated in line with the Grand Appeal strategy, policies and procedures
· Provide a warm welcome and induction for guests on arrival and provide ongoing support during their stay
· Regularly review all guest materials to ensure impact and accuracy
· Develop strong relationships with guests during their stay and provide engaging information about the charity and encourage future fundraising and support
· Design and deliver a programme of regular touchpoints with guests, for example weekly coffee mornings
· Ensure guest data is accurately recorded and processed in line with GDPR requirements
· Develop and deliver a process for getting feedback on the accommodation service
Operational management
· Work closely to support the wider Operations and Services Team
· Manage the daily allocation of work for housekeeping staff and regularly check standards
· Maintain good stock levels for cleaning materials, bedding, appliances etc., to ensure the smooth running of the accommodation
· Manage the annual accommodation budget and ensure effective procurement practices are in place and implemented
· Manage, review and suggest improvements to the Grand Appeal’s standard operating procedures for family accommodation
· On an interim basis, work with the wider team to provide whatever support is required for the servicing, maintenance and testing requirements for the accommodation e.g. fire checks and alarm servicing
Income generation and team working
· Work collaboratively to ensure all touch points for income generation are presented
· Encourage donations and fundraising from guests and provide relevant information on ways they can support the charity
· Make introductions to the wider fundraising team
· Support Grand Appeal events including representing the charity at events as required
· Act as an advocate and spokesperson for the charity, to support media requests and donor visits
· Support the marketing and communications team to help identify suitable guests to be involved in future media requests and/or case studies
Other tasks
· Keep abreast of governance requirements pursuant to all charity activity, including but not limited to the Charities Act, Fundraising Regulator, Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice, Gambling Commission and General Data Protection Regulation.
· Carry out other tasks and duties as required, to support colleagues across the organisation.

SOS Rape Crisis (SOSRC) is an independent specialist sexual violence charity providing support for adults (regardless of gender), young people and children who have experienced sexual violence and/or child sexual abuse, in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford.
We are part of Synergy Essex, a partnership of three Rape Crisis Centres (SOSRC, SERICC and CARA), funded by the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex to provide a countywide ISVA service.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team providing vital support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse. As a Navigator Project Worker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals accessing Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis services. You will offer compassionate, trauma-informed, and needs led support, helping survivors feel heard and understood from the outset. Through careful assessment and informed referrals, you’ll play a key role in connecting survivors with the most appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities

Headway Gloucestershire was established in 1987 and since then we have been working to make a positive difference to the lives of adults with an acquired brain injury. We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre based Day Service and outreach support through our Community Links Service. We provide group and one to one sessions to support individuals.
Open every weekday, Headway House is at the heart of Headway Gloucestershire. We provide a structured programme of activities for individuals to choose from. Our programme is designed to support participants to work toward their own recovery goals and gain insight into strategies that support individuals to manage the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural outcomes which can occur following an acquired brain injury. Peer group sessions enable us to harness the recovery benefits of peer contact and support.
We have been successful in receiving three years of funding to deliver services in up to five locations in Gloucestershire and are recruiting a part-time Support Worker to support the delivery of our Hubs – to meet and support the recovery needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in their community. The Support Worker will be responsible for the delivery of group sessions designed to support individuals with acquired brain injury work toward their recovery goals. Responsibilities include: -
