We are seeking a dynamic Head of Systems, Data and Insights to drive digital innovation, champion evidence-based decision making, and lead a high-performing team.

Sightsavers are looking for a Digital Fundraising Insight and Optimisation Executive to drive data-led decision-making and enhance the performance of our global digital fundraising activities.

As the Digital Fundraising Insight and Optimisation Executive, you will deliver actionable insights through data analysis and reporting to inform strategic decisions and optimise digital fundraising performance. You’ll play a key role in supporting conversion rate optimisation (CRO) by analysing test results, maintaining data integrity and identifying opportunities to improve supporter journeys and retention.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across various teams to enhance campaign effectiveness and deliver measurable impact. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly influence income growth and supporter experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse performance data across channels (GA4, BigQuery, SQL) to identify trends and optimisation opportunities.

• Create clear dashboards and reports to improve campaign effectiveness and supporter engagement.

• Track and report on KPIs, translating complex data into actionable insights.

• Support CRO activity including analysing test results and recommending improvements to impact conversion and donor retention.

• Ensure best practice in data capture, tagging and reporting across teams.

• Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to inform optimisation strategies.

• Develop guidance and training resources to upskill colleagues in data interpretation and reporting.

• Share best practices and learnings from testing and optimisation activities.

About you

As the ideal candidate, you will combine strong analytical skills with a creative approach, using data to uncover insights and spot opportunities for optimisation. You’ll have experience with GA4 and data visualisation tools and be confident in interpreting and presenting complex data in a clear, actionable way that drives performance improvements.

Essential

• Strong analytical skills with experience in GA4 and data visualisation tools (e.g. Google Looker Studio).

• Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear, actionable way.

• Familiarity with CRO concepts.

• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.

• Experience with Google Tag Manager and marketing platforms like Hotjar, A/B testing tools like VWO and email marketing platforms.

This is an exciting time to join as we are embarking on an ambitious Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) Programme to enable the organisation to reach its ambitious goal of raising £120m by 2033.  The Data and Analytics Lead will be the operational backbone of the Data and Analytics team, responsible for ensuring the smooth, day-to-day running of all functions in the team.  This role is a key partner to the Head of Data and Analytics, freeing them to focus on strategy, vision and driving forward the DDT Programme.

The Data and Analytics Lead will be the primary line manager for the Data Operations, Salesforce Development, Data Selections and Business Intelligence teams, focusing on workload management, resource allocation, and supporting the development of a high-performing culture.

This is an interim role working closely with the Head of Data and Analytics who will continue to oversee the function whilst driving the DT programme forward. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for overseeing and management of the Data & Analytics team as the primary point of contact for all data related activities and directing as necessary

· Provide mentorship, guidance and performance management to the Data and Analytics team, nurturing a collaborative and high-performing culture

· Work with your direct reports and the Head of Data and Analytics to develop and monitor the team’s operational plan, ensuring this is aligned with teams across ARUK

· Actively lead and manage the team’s workload and capacity, ensuring there are effective demand management and planning processes in place

· Champion the use of analytics and insight across the organisation to drive performance monitoring and data-informed decision-making

· Work with the Head of Data and Analytics to ensure the team is aligned with the DDT Programme, and the team is effectively supporting data-related DDT initiatives

· Ensure robust processes are in place for Direct Debit and Gift Aid processing and these are being adhered to

· Ensure all business-as-usual tasks (eg. imports, data selections) are completed as required, on time and with quality assurance and reconciliation checks in place

· Work with the Senior Salesforce Technical Product Manager to continually review the Salesforce roadmap, ensuring it is aligned with the organisation strategy

· Oversee data governance, quality assurance and compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations Provide expert regulatory guidance and technical support to strengthen our governance and operational integrity 

· Continue to develop the adoption of the Agile approach across the whole team

What we are looking for:

· Proven experience of working in a data operation function

· Demonstrated team leadership and development of a team of technical experts, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and driving high performance

· Background in analysis, data modelling and data-driven marketing

· Extensive experience of managing and using large relational databases and analysis packages

· A track record of identifying and implementing improvements to data management systems and processes

· An understanding of marketing and specifically, direct marketing and campaign management

· Good knowledge of data protection legislation and its application

· Excellent inter-personal (relationship) skills with an ability to build relationships, trust and respect at all levels.

· Able to use storytelling to bring data analysis to live

· Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical issues

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Details:

Salary: £50,000 per annum.

You’ll be our leading technical voice for data, shaping and delivering our Data Strategy, guiding colleagues, and ensuring modern, effective ways of working with data. You’ll work with internal systems and sector datasets (plus third‑party sources like population data) to build the reporting that helps hospices compare services, reach underserved communities, and make better decisions. 

We’ve recently invested in modern Microsoft data tools and updated our key systems to provide the foundations for the future. This is a chance to define how we use data for the long term, from engineering robust pipelines to creating the dashboards leaders rely on every day. 

In the short term, your focus will be: 

• Overseeing the introduction of a new member data collection portal being developed by a third-party organisation.
• Developing, deploying and improving our internal performance reporting and hospice sector reporting using Power BI and related Microsoft tools.

As the Insight & Optimisation Manager, you will champion data-driven decision-making, embed best-practice processes and drive continuous optimisation across channels and markets. Working with internal teams and external partners, you’ll ensure insights and testing deliver measurable improvements to fundraising performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead global CRO and experimentation strategy to maximise income and donor retention across digital fundraising channels.
• Own and prioritise the testing roadmap, delivering high-impact A/B and multivariate experiments aligned with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, analytics and development teams to remove conversion barriers and ensure accessible, user-friendly supporter experiences.

• Proven experience managing CRO programmes and leading teams.

About this role

SPANA is investing in its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) function. We have established an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate (GPD), led by a Head of Data Insights and MEAL. The MEAL team plays a critical role in ensuring that SPANA’s programmes are effective, responsive and continuously progressing to improve the welfare of working animals globally. The MEAL team works closely with SPANA partners based in different countries and with SPANA colleagues across departments.

Reporting to the MEAL Manager, the Data Management Officer is a key role in SPANA’s MEAL team. The role oversees the full data cycle, including supporting partners with consistent data collection, improving data quality assurance, maintaining data systems, setting standards, co-ordinating consolidation of programme data and producing clear analysis and visualisation. The role contributes directly to better use of evidence in programme design, learning and accountability across the organisation.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hour per week), permanent role based in the UK. SPANA works on a hybrid basis, and staff come into our office in London for approximately 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred).

Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside, with particular focus on women who are involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Our vision is for women and girls to feel safe, valued and in control of their own life choices.

From our women centres, we provide tailored support across a range of different pathways, including housing, domestic abuse, debt, and unemployment. As a charity led by women, for women, we provide trauma informed, holistic support to help break cycles of trauma, abuse, and re-offending, and evoke systems change.

Role Summary

This is an exciting role for someone with a passion for leading data-driven, insight-led service design and delivery, and for a person who loves to champion best practice in data management and governance. In this role you will contribute to improving the experiences and outcomes of the women who access our Women’s Centres and Services, and by listening to and learning from women, you will utilise insight to drive organisational and systemic change.

You will lead on the strategic use of data and insights, embedding best practice in data collection methods and gender-specific assessment tools, with a focus on the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA) and the Gendered Wellbeing Assessment (GWA). You will deliver robust and meaningful operational and strategic reporting; regular and accessible management information to support effective service delivery; regular performance monitoring and reporting to commissioners and funders; and further develop the ways we demonstrate our impact and share stories of change.

You will lead operational delivery of our data systems, to ensure robust data governance, compliance and ongoing technical implementation and optimisation. This role is critical to embedding a culture of data-driven decision making, using insight to support high quality service delivery, and to drive long term systemic change through key research projects. You will work closely with our WRNA Project Manager and the wider Management team to embed learnings from the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership and support our ongoing contribution to University of Birmingham long term research into women’s experience of the criminal justice system, helping to shape the development of evidence-based policy and best practice across the Women’s sector in the UK.

You will work closely and line manage the Data and Impact Analyst to ensure robust training programmes are in place, to support our staff teams to effectively and efficiently utilise our data tools and systems, and to embed data management best practice. You will also work together to embed our involvement and lived experience strategy, ensuring women’s voices and insight are at the heart of our service delivery models.

The role will also provide leadership on data protection and organisational Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsibilities, and will work closely with our Information Governance Lead.

Key accountabilities

Data Systems Oversight and Leadership:

• Work with EWC partners, The JABBS Foundation and University of Birmingham to support the final design phases of a specialist, bespoke case management system (CMS), to ensure it meets the needs of Together Women, and our sister organisations within the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership.
• Roll out the implementation and adoption of the new CMS, to include data migration, staff training programmes, and new reporting suites and dashboards.
• Provide strategic CMS oversight to ensure the system continues to meet organisational needs and lead planning for CMS development projects including upgrades, integrations and enhancements.
• Monitor and assess future CMS system needs, scoping and identifying development areas.
• Contribute to budget planning, including CMS ongoing costs and development projects, and ensuring activities are delivered within agreed resources.
• Work closely with Senior Management and wider Management team on future projects relating to updates or changes to the CMS system.

Data Leadership and Governance:

• Develop a Data and Impact Strategy to align with organisational priorities.
• Lead on data governance and UK GDPR compliance, including data governance policies, DPIAs, information sharing agreements, SARs, and ongoing breach and information security risk management.
• Support the implementation and ongoing review of data policies, ROPA documentation, data security protocols, and internal staff training.
• Provide assurance to the Senior Management team on data compliance, reporting risks and mitigating actions.
• Ensure staff understand their data responsibilities, build data capability and a strong data protection culture through training, guidance and fostering data confidence and accountability.

Insights, Analysis and Performance:

• Lead the provision of insights, analysis, and performance reporting, and embed a culture of insight-led decision making across the charity.
• Support the ongoing development of our involvement and lived experience insight workstream, and further establish our ability to co-design and co-produce our service offer.
• Evidence our impact and performance within contractual monitoring reports, and contribute to future funding bids and tenders to secure commissioning arrangements.
• Produce clear, interpretable reports for internal and external stakeholders, as required.
• Produce clear management information and performance reports on both outputs and outcomes, and enable Managers to articulate stories of change, drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the quality of our work.

• Support Master Trainers to embed WRNA and GWA certifications across all frontline staff teams.
• Work closely with colleagues to develop a new Quality Assurance (QA) audit process and embed this into Together Women’s work.
• Identify and resolve problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines, and escalate where necessary.
• Uphold the principles of ethical research, particularly with regard to consent and confidentiality.

In this new role the Impact and Evaluation Manager will be critical to helping Bite Back demonstrate and strengthen the difference we make for young people, funders, partners, and wider society. You will lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, evaluating and learning from our work – ensuring that youth voice is at the heart of how we design, assess and communicate our impact.

You will manage Bite Back’s relationships with external evaluators, develop and track organisational KPIs, and work closely with programme and fundraising colleagues, trustees and funders to ensure we can evidence our outcomes clearly and compellingly. This role will also develop creative ways to tell the story of our impact – from robust evaluation reports through to case studies that bring young people’s voices to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Impact and Evaluation Manager is accountable for:

Strategy and Theory of Change

• Working closely with the CEO to lead Bite Back’s organisational impact strategy, including refining and maintaining our theory of change.

• Translating our theory of change into clear outcomes, indicators and learning questions that guide programme design, campaigns and organisational priorities.

• Designing and overseeing Bite Back’s impact measurement framework.

Data Systems and Standards

• Leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience shape Bite Back’s evaluation approaches.

• Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs across the organisation, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Leadership Team.

Donor monitoring and evaluation

• Working with fundraising and programme teams to design robust monitoring, evaluation and learning plans for funding bids, including developing outcomes frameworks, indicators, and evaluation budgets that align with Bite Back’s broader organisational impact framework.

• Working closely with the Senior Grants and Fundraising Manager to ensure Bite Back meets its impact and reporting commitments to funders.

• Leading on the development of Bite Back’s annual impact report and supporting the production of  other compelling case studies, impact reports and evaluation outputs to communicate Bite Back’s effectiveness to funders, trustees, partners, the media and wider audiences

Building a Learning Culture

The Senior Evidence & Evaluation Manager sits within the Impact & Evidence directorate at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.

You will play a central role in building the evidence base on what works to support young people into good jobs.

Working with three Heads of Evaluation, the Deputy Director and the Director, you will help ensure our evaluations are designed to generate credible evidence of what works.

• You will work closely with independent evaluators and delivery partners and colleagues in our Programmes & Grants and Policy & Communications directorates, you will assess the evaluability of interventions, and lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex impact evaluations.
• You will manage a portfolio of projects, leading some directly, and overseeing others while supporting more junior colleagues.
• You will also contribute to strengthening our ‘evaluation architecture’, leading projects that enhance data infrastructure and access to administrative datasets, and set standards for methodological rigour in the sector.

This role can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.
