Job Purpose
The Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) Lead will play a central role in ensuring that the voices of patients, carers, and communities, particularly those experiencing the poorest cancer outcomes, are embedded in the design, delivery, and evaluation of cancer services across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Firmly embedded within the Cancer Alliance Early Diagnosis Team, the postholder will lead the development and delivery of a coordinated PPI approach that strengthens community insight, supports co‑production, and ensures that early diagnosis initiatives are shaped by lived experience and community need.
The role will act as a bridge between the Cancer Alliance, Spring North, VCFSE partners, and local communities, ensuring that engagement is inclusive, culturally competent, and aligned with NHS England’s Working with People and Communities guidance.

About the Youth Endowment Fund
All of us will experience violence at some point in our lives. For many children, it is a daily reality. Each year, tens of children are killed, hundreds are hospitalised, 1 in 5 teenage children are victims and the majority admit to feeling afraid of violence. It scares them when they travel home from school, prevents them from going out and makes the most vulnerable feel like they don’t matter. It is taking lives, traumatising families and dividing communities. It robs potential, progress and hope.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
The Youth Endowment Fund believes that no child should be affected by violence. We research violence to understand it; we find, fund and test what works to prevent it; and we are building a movement to end it.
A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of children’s services. We need to inspire and connect with senior leaders in England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We need someone who can deliver this whilst understanding and working within the context of the major sector reforms that are currently being delivered via the Families First Partnership programme.
Key Responsibilities
We are at an exciting moment in our work. In June we will publish our children’s services practice guidance, setting out the evidence for what works to reduce serious youth violence in the children’s services sector.
We have plans to work with the sector over the rest of the financial year and beyond, including designing a self-assessment tool to help senior sector leaders benchmark their existing practice against the evidence. We will also launch a new change programme, working hand-in-hand with the sector to implement the evidence for what works, gaining valuable insights in the process.
Your role is to help us turn these plans into a reality.
This will include launching the self-assessment tool and promoting its use within the sector. It will also involve planning, designing and delivering the change programme to turn the theory into reality.
You will also contribute by designing and delivering a range of sector engagement activities, such as webinars, events and learning opportunities, that reach the sector, helping to build momentum, understanding and commitment across children’s services.
Lastly, you will support the Head of Change for Children’s Services with government engagement as required and support the establishment of a new network for senior sector leaders to share the latest evidence and best practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the launch and roll-out of the children’s services self-assessment tool, driving up demand and ensuring widespread completion of the tool across the sector;
Work hands-on with Local Authorities to help them put evidence into practice via our change programme; planning, delivering and learning as the work continues;
Continuously capture and act on learning from the self-assessment tool and deep dive change programme to inform future work;
Supporting the design and roll-out of a children’s services network to spread learning of what works to reduce serious youth violence;
Spend time genuinely understanding the pressures, priorities and constraints facing children’s services leaders to inform our longer-term approach to change.

You have experience of developing resources which support children’s services. You understand and take a curious approach to learning about the needs of sector leaders. You are able to skilfully translate these insights into helpful resources and tools which support leaders to improve practice.

You know that you can learn more. You know that it's easy to assume you know when you don't. You care more that good things happen than who gets the credit. You are a great and supportive team player.

Delivering positive change within children’s services: You have significant experience of working with sector leaders to support the development and improvement of practice.

Hybrid Working

About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. About you
To be successful in this role you will bring a strong mix of business development expertise, Local Authority commissioned contract success, sector knowledge and collaborative working, alongside a commitment to improving outcomes for carers, with;
• A strong track record of securing new Local Authority commissioned contracts and re securing existing contracts, with experience of commissioning and procurement processes in health, social care or the voluntary sector.
• Proven experience of leading bid development activity and bid teams, producing high quality, persuasive proposals within tight deadlines.
• Experience of senior stakeholder engagement and relationship management with commissioners, funders and partner organisations.
• A good understanding of health and care systems, including Local Authority and Integrated Care System priorities and pressures.
• Experience of service design and service improvement, working collaboratively with multi disciplinary teams and people with lived experience.
• Excellent organisational, programme and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse insight and impact data and translate this into learning, improvement and compelling cases for support.

Overview of Role:

Magic Bus is seeking a Global Senior Finance Manager to lead financial management
across each of its Magic Bus Global, UK and Singapore entities (“three Magic Bus
entities”). This is a senior, high-impact role, critical to supporting the organisation’s next
phase of growth and strengthening its global finance function.
Based in the UK and reporting to the Magic Bus UK Board and Executive Director (with
alignment to Magic Bus Global and Singapore leadership), the role operates within an
international development NGO environment. It combines hands-on financial
management with strategic oversight, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and
financial insight across multiple geographies.
The postholder will oversee end-to-end finance operations, manage outsourced
providers (audit, payroll) and play a key role in driving financial sustainability and
performance. In addition, and when the opportunity arises, the postholder will support
the fundraising initiatives of Magic Bus UK and any other Magic Bus entities as
appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
- Lead financial management across each of Magic Bus’s Global, UK and
Singapore entities, ensuring consistency, transparency and strong internal
controls.
- Act as the primary finance lead to the Magic Bus UK Board and Executive
Director.
- Strengthen financial policies and processes across all three Magic Bus entities.
- Ensure compliance with UK charity regulations and Companies Act 2006 (as
appropriate) and all relevant international requirements.
- Oversee relationships with external providers (auditors, payroll, finance
partners).
- Maintain a robust financial control environment.
Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process across three Magic Bus entities,
incorporating input from country teams and the Boards.
- Develop high-quality financial forecasts, scenario modelling, and long-term
financial planning.
- Provide clear insight into financial sustainability, funding gaps, and reserves
strategy.
- Monitor performance against budget and support timely corrective actions, as
required.
Management Reporting and Performance:
- Oversee the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
across all three Magic Bus entities.
- Deliver clear variance analysis and actionable insights to support decision-
making.
- Standardise and improve reporting processes across geographies.
- Present financial performance to the Board and senior stakeholders.
Financial Accounting:
- Ensure robust month-end and year-end close processes across entities.
- Maintain oversight of key accounting areas.
- Lead the annual audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
- Oversee submissions to the Charity Commission, Companies House, and
relevant international bodies.
- Support fundraising and operations with donor requirements, including
restricted funding and grant reporting.
Cash Flow, Treasury and Risk Management:
- Oversee cash flow across entities, ensuring adequate liquidity at all times.
- Monitor and optimise reserves in line with organisational policies.
- Oversee payment processes and financial controls.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Strategic Finance and Business Partnering:
- Act as a strategic finance partner to country leads and global leadership.
- Provide financial insight to support growth, expansion and funding strategies.
- Strengthen financial literacy and capability across non-finance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and data quality.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA).
- Significant experience in a senior finance role, with end-to-end ownership of
finance operations.
- Strong experience in international development, NGO or grant-funded
environments.
- Experience working across multiple countries and/or legal entities.
- Experience reporting to Boards and senior leadership.
- Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- Strong financial accounting, controls, and compliance expertise.
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation and reporting.
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
Strong understanding of:
- Restricted funding and donor compliance.
- Grant reporting and funder requirements.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and confident fundraiser to be our Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially with our programmes which have gone from supporting 11,000 young people a year to 14,000 in the 24/25 programme year. We have secured a relatively stable income of c.£6m over several years, and in the last two years this has grown to £7m+. Our organisational strategy, which takes us to 2030/31, will continue this fundraising trajectory with a need to increase annual income on a sustained basis to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraised income, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. Our highly engaged Chairperson has a commercial background and is keen to leverage contacts in the corporate world, giving a network of prospective contacts to explore.
The role and team
As Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager, you will be an experienced partnership manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking along with experience in securing and stewarding strategic partnerships with corporates and their associated corporate foundations. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset for income generation, able to confidently manage competing demands to balance securing new partnerships and delivering high quality account management to your portfolio of current and prospective supporters.
The role will lead a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focused on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace and supporting a more socio-economically diverse workforce for the future. The role will be the point-person within the Development Team for organisational events, working closely with key colleagues in our marketing & events and programme functions to support delivery of high-quality events. They will also take responsibility for delivering successful stewardship events, including programme visits. It will be crucial to work closely with a range of stakeholders, especially colleagues, to deliver successful stewardship events that showcase the varied work of the Sutton Trust and engage supporters with our work. This will include working closely with existing staff who lead on organisational, advocacy and programme events to ensure donors and prospects are able to attend and engage with the work.
Corporate partnerships are delivered by a talented and growing team, all with their own portfolios based on partnership level and complexity. Team members work on both new business and account management, with ambitious individual income targets.
Main duties
New Business
Personally scope, develop and secure new five-figure+ corporate partnerships, aiming for a diverse and robust portfolio of partners with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, other senior staff, and senior volunteers appropriately to secure and steward.
Proactively approach new business development within the corporate sector, cultivating relationships and networks to grow awareness of The Sutton Trust and secure major gifts.
Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships in their work with senior volunteers to develop a strong prospect pipeline for major corporate gifts, including support for network mapping to leverage connections and cultivate prospective funders.
Events, Account Management and Development
Manage and grow the Trust’s leadership and partner level corporate partnerships in your portfolio, including leveraging existing relationships to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.
Appropriately leverage senior staff and volunteers to secure multi-lateral relationships with corporate partners and prospects, with the aim of retaining partnerships and uplifting income.
Working closely with key colleagues to be the first point of contact for the Development team to support organisational events, and working with Development leadership to deliver diverse and engaging stewardship events.
Working closely with key colleagues, support delivery of key donor messaging through Campaign Monitor or other platforms as appropriate, to align with the stewardship events goals of further engaging donors and prospects with the work of the Sutton Trust.
Be accountable for achieving agreed corporate income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify corporate income.
Fundraising, Finance and Reporting
Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences in the corporate space, representing the Trust with gravitas and confidence to secure major gifts and develop relationships.
Work with colleagues across Development and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, income tracking and reporting for your portfolio of corporate partnerships.
Working closely with colleagues, provide corporate fundraising expertise to increase awareness of viable funding opportunities and develop organisational understanding of best practice for working with corporate partners and funders.
Ensure you appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
Stay up to date with corporate fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:
Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing corporate partnerships at five-figures-plus level, from initial prospect research to contracting and ongoing stewardship.
Experience successfully securing and/or managing corporate-charity partnerships, including engaging senior leadership on both sides to deliver strategic goals and mutual benefit.
Experience network mapping and networking to build and manage relationships that lead to corporate donations to non-profits, particularly with senior non-profit volunteers.
Experience planning and delivering events that provide high-quality stewardship to donors and prospects, engaging them with the work of a non-profit and promoting strong relationships.
Experience managing events with an organised and clear project management approach, including influencing and working with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including networking at C-suite and senior management level and strong presentation skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver engaging and persuasive cases for support.
First-class interpersonal skills - a natural ambassador able to represent the Sutton Trust with gravitas and confidence in a range of settings, especially the corporate world and with senior leaders.
Knowledge and experience of the education and/or not-for-profit sector.
Knowledge of the UK fundraising environment, including corporate fundraising trends and regulations that affect corporate partnerships.
Experienced at using Salesforce or other fundraising CRM software to accurately record funding relationships.

Salary: £42,025-£46,000
Working location: Minimum of two office days per week. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.
Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.
Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is likely to also be required to attend events / meetings outside of normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends, in line with organisational policies.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is build confidence, companionship and connection for people with hearing loss, is seeking a High Value Events Manager to help create inclusive, inspiring and impactful high-value event experiences that deepen relationships and generate transformational philanthropic support for the charity.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.
This role will be part of a newly built High Value Events function and will develop, manage and deliver a portfolio of high‑value engagement and fundraising events that advance the charity’s strategic priorities and long‑term sustainability.
